why do you think Steem is the answer here? and more importantly why do you even think Steem is decentralized? you are talking about the "social media platform" aren't you? in which case Steem is not even a social media platform it is centralized website more like reddit. you see the token called "steem" may be decentralized and it is obviously based on the blockchain technology but the "platform" called "steem" (which you are looking for as an alternative to centralized Facebook) is neither decentralized nor uses blockchain technology. it is simply a website like Facebook, Reddit,... where you have to first sign up on and whatever posts you make are stored in their centralized database (note that this database is not blockchain!) and they control your account and what you post so it is not decentralized either. a decentralized social media platform is when you download a wallet, own private keys, make transactions (posts) and broadcast them to the network (other peers) on the P2P network instead of sending it to a server. They will try to ban it but I think that they can't do it unless they can turn off the internet. What will happen if the internet dies??? I don't known.  |

No one can say exact what will happen. But till now, I have seen that IEOs seem like it's a new trend in 2019. It brings a new wind to market, more volume, more liquid, more cap.

I don't think that. Worth or no is its own usage and the most important of any projects that is community. If it doesn't has community, no one uses, no one buys/ sells. Then it dies.

That's sure. Any investments has also risky, so to protect our money, we must do our own research before invest in. In crypto market, we have seen a lot of projects which scammed. Bitcointalk forum is one of places to search/ report scammers.

I have the same your issue  . IEOs ended super fast. But for me now I don't want to try for attending to any IEOs in the future, I feel like it is the game of exchanges and bots. |

I have seen almost ICOs burning unsold tokens. It's good to decrease total supply and to increase value of token. But some projects will use unsold tokens for marketing like running airdrop campaigns for holders.

Agree with you. It can reach soon if they launch hype IEOs monthly. In addition, they also plan to launch their DEX exchange and chain so the price can hit the price mentioned before bitcoin reaches 20k.

I think that scammers is anywhere so when IEOs boom, scammers can still appear, they can do their IEO in small exchanges where dev exchange doesn't care to protect users. However, IEOs have brought a new wind to market.

For longterm, you should do your own search to buy and hold some top coins. You can take profit when target reaches. For me, I chose btc, eth.
For shortterm, you must learn tech analysis to trade. Trader must has a lot of other skills to earn. In my opinion, trading is not easy.

For me now, I am almost holding top altcoins but I also invested in a new coin which called securypto - a new privacy coin, they have staking, masternode and some other features.
