First time poster, so I expect some will shoot this down but here is my few cents having watched this launch unfold...

This a coin / project created by / apparently spearheaded by Richard who, according to their website:

"Richard has a history of building successful digital businesses. He co-founded the successful digital agency SiteWizard, now over 20 years old. More recently, he founded Retortal.com in 2013. As the CEO, Richard’s assembled a team of over 40 developers and created a social media management platform, used by global fortune 500 companies such as Herbalife and Avon. Retortal’s software is used by hundreds of thousands of people."

A quick search on DueDil finds that Richard is currently director of Sitewizard Ltd an, Retortal Ltd, Whitelabellers Ltd and Billing.Scoial Ltd. Rather than make any comment on these accounts that would open myself up to any fire I would suggest people look at them purely for their own interest,

I know a few people in tech, close friends in a similar industry to me of whom not one has mentioned their advertising campaign on the ground. Or even thought to mention having heard anyone speak of it face-to-face.

It's very easy to buy Facebook and twitter likes for a website, project - there are markets specifically for that, with a bit of wadding it's quick to sense what accounts might be real or not.

This is purely hypothetic now and in now way directed at any particular person, people or company, but say I had a bit of experience in Internet stuff, like building nice websites and marketing them then providing online marketing and social media marketing, then I have an idea, this idea is born from some of the MLM companies I've read about or possibly dealt with and I think hey, I can utilise this to create an army of marketing drone souls to push and product that will make me rich, much quicker than any traditional business I might start or already have.

Again, this is purely hypothetical, but say we take something like a trending product and hype it up hugely online (with some offline, like a billboard ands poster in limited geographic spread of the base country because after all we just want the internet masses to chew this down), then would it be possible to get folks to buy in and to reassure the we could use our marketing experience and shill social media or brought in accounts to reenforce the offering thus creating some kind of hysteria and man on the ground investment into a vapour product, once that would cost us very little to create (in sweat equity) and one that we can backup by relabelling a team we have as the team experts on this project.

So if, hypothetically, I had these core ingredients could I succeed in hyping up a product that may be doomed to fail (or never had legs or anyway near deliverability) but make the man/men at the top quite rich whilst the lower level fight over deluded patriotism for the project against those who saw through the possible false truths?

Thoughts?
