21  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] Deprived Mining Speculation (DMS) on: June 18, 2013, 06:59:41 AM
Can someone elaborate why MINING lost 35% of it's value today?

There has been at least some buyers in the last 2 hours, but it's not looking good.

My guess: because difficulty is going up exponentially so mining profitability is going down exponentially (especially for a PMB with fixed hashrate!), thus a shitty long-term investment. I personally am glad to finally have an opportunity to short Bitcoin mining bonds, because there's 3 sure things in this world: death, taxes and mining profitability going down.

I wonder if OP realizes the irony of being pro-Bitcoin AND of being in favor or more taxes/government regulation, at the same time.

freedom > security
I think it should be freedom = security. I live in a country which has received independence from USSR in 1990. After that, people were demanding complete freedom. That freedom was mostly used by criminals, mafias and other not-so-good people to silence others. Thank god that time is over now.

25  Other / Politics & Society / Re: When will govt's outlaw cryptocurrencies? on: June 18, 2013, 05:18:16 AM
The big question, when or IF governments outlaw crypto-currencies?

When do you think it will happen?

Even if its decentralized, do you think govt's will start attempting to outlaw it?

As soon as they figure out it's going to destroy central banks and taxation. Which they may have already figured out.

...and their attempts will be futile.

This is a great idea! One weird thing I noticed, the calendars that show up when you selected departure and return dates are in some foreign language for some reason. Also when I selected a flight and clicked the orange "Buy" button, not much seemed to be happening. I'm a little confused by the interface there.

I noticed I have a few videos not loading. It just opens a white viewing window with the video title and all, but the actual video doesn't show. "Coheed And Cambria - Welcome Home (Live in Sydney)" does that, for example.

The videos should all load now, if anyone has anymore problems with the videos please let me know.

The next payment is delayed until further notice, I started working on upgrading my payment system and it's taking longer then expected, also had some real life issues come up. It shouldn't be long.

Paid. https://blockchain.info/tx/a0afe0761e13b044a6f8b4e50581003f6f8d0b87bdebafdebf2799733d6ea92a

Yep, the videos are fixed. They all load now for me.

I started a Bitcoin / Litecoin "hedge fund": http://www.crypto-finance.com/

It's called Liberty Capital Management, and I currently invest in Bitcoin and Litecoin-denominated exchanges such as http://litecoinglobal.com, bitfunder, btct.co, cryptostocks. I generated a weighted BTC/LTC average profit of 37% the first month, and so far this month I'm at a weighted BTC/LTC average profit of 5.63%.

I would suggest changing your name given the Liberty Reserve fund and games...

So I actually changed the name, while I still can. One of the main reasons being that the domain name I managed to get didn't reflect/match the originally intended name "Liberty Capital Management." It's now called Crypto-finance Investments.
