And dooglus told my coment was not produtive=)

Maybe it doesn't matter, but I think you misunderstood me.

You asked me if I thought Scabby was "stupid" for posting about his buy before executing it.

I replied that it was unproductive. ie. that telling the market what you're going to do before you do it isn't a great idea.

I wasn't telling you that your comment was unproductive.

I can't really wrap my head around letting it be known I have a desire to purchase is unproductive. Now someone could go and win 10K, and know they have a great way to sell it before they bet big. Someone that has staked a bunch knows they have someone out there to buy off some.

To me, its like wanting to buy a car, but not looking at them until Friday because you get paid on Friday. By your logic, I should keep really quiet and silently look for cars Friday. When in actuality I might find someone Thursday that has a great car they didn't even take the time to get listed for sale, happy with a nice smooth easy sale.

I'm not trying to be argumentative, and you certainly have more experience with cryptocurrency, but just can't wrap my head around it at all.

i can sell 5k if right price

That's weird. You post said "can sell 5k @ 0.008.", I hit the quote button, and now it says "i can sell 5k if right price". I guess you edited your post between me loading the page and hitting the quote button. I never saw that happen before.

I can sell 5k too. It's hard to set a price when the market is moving like it is, but I'm sure we can agree on something.

I appreciate that as well, I agree on the open ended pricing decisions. I don't think the market price necessarily means that incredibly much. I mean, I could just as easily buy 10k privately, dump it and pull the price down to have a better buying option if that mattered in the least.

Certainly looking for the mutually beneficial route, off market.

First off all you would have a hard time to get 10k if not pay a good premium, last time when BAC sold 20k price went back to normal just few hours after he dumped it. And most big investor wouldnt sell on a big drop. The reason there is only 3k clams on polo is that one want to sell it at that price, they find it more beneficial to have it invested on justdice. And its very stupid to announce that u going to buy 185btc worth of clam, makes people get a other reason to hold it. That makes me suspicious of your motives. If its just a pump to sell clams on. If i was you i would have close this thread and be quiet , then wait until this is forgotten and buy slowly until u have what u want.

I thought saying publicly would let others know they could sell a volume without having the floor drop out underneath them. I suppose I imagined a situation in which someone had been staking for awhile, and perhaps this would alleviate any downside for them (Pull out an initial investment, while not suppressing the market price of the rest of the holdings). I don't believe that situation is unimaginable, in particular with you mentioning "BAC" sold 20k right after saying 10k is difficult.

I guess I'm just a pretty straightforward dude. I enjoyed having smaller amounts and have some extra funds I don't mind using as a more high risk investment. I simply thought I would turn cash in to bitcoin, then buy clam with bitcoin. I never considered I would be suspect for wanting to buy in more. Nor did the theme of market manipulation being so rampant occur to me, now I'm reading all over about "pumps" and other things like that.

I certainly have some new things to consider with your post which I appreciate, I just don't appreciate the method of how it was delivered blankly referring to stating I wish to purchase as stupid.

Iam just saying its not smart by a big buyer to announce what he will do, if your goal is to get best possible price. And i never said it was stupid to buy clam.

I said stating I wish to purchase, not simply purchase. I didn't make any claim you said it was stupid to buy clam. I understand the wording is subtle, but the difference is large, please reread what I said.

I also see a big difference between saying "I'm going to go spend 185BTC on Poloniex Friday" which seems to be more like something that would coincide with what you're saying vs. the underlying point of the thread, to say that I'm looking for off market purchases in a decent bulk.

The point that I have is *if* there are some people that want to sell, just 10K clams at the moment would depress the market price by 32%, with the larger majority being some larger selling points at the lower end of that spectrum. After fees, I think you're looking at a case of getting maybe 0.060 out of 10K clams at the moment. The thread is aimed in that direction, seeking out a situation like that. The volume of trading is simply not there to support a straightforward method of purchasing as there is with bitcoin for instance.

I don't believe money on paper is money. Which - I can pose the question of, I could spend 10 grand on clams on Poloniex, did that really just make clams worth a million dollars more ?

Simply put, the proper way for this transaction or any others like it to occur are through Dooglus I believe, off market.

I would love to not talk about any of this, but if there are questions or suspicions I do feel the need to express there is no hidden agenda.

CLAM-ception.

My motives is to make good deal for me, i was looking for to buy more, but since price rise i stop that plan and just wait and look what happens

I thought you said mentioning wanting to buy clams was not smart. I think I just wasted my time responding at all to your prior comment.

Good point. But it's the only method of price discovery we have.

Good point Smiley

OK, great. I'm wondering if this is going to take until Monday to go through now. I got a really awkward phone call from the bank (Wells Fargo) today, the ACH pull is listed as pending online still, although my time here is nearly 9:30PM and it showed up early morning.

Completely committed to transferring in this amount as an investment but at this point wondering if there will be cause for a business day of delay or not.

Must change at midnight, now it says posted.

Are you willing to take sub-market rates? Otherwise I'd rather just sell on the market...

Im collecting all offers. Feel free to mention anything above market at this point still. I've only had conversation on low teens of thousands thus far. Hoping for a one shot under market but I'm wide open for the time being.

mmmm good to see my old ID being used right Cheesy

If you add a address to show proof of funds it would probably make folks feel a tiny better.

Escrow through Doog is golden.

GL!

I bought with coinbase, hence Friday Smiley

But once I hand if I don't have it all lined up I will be sure to sign as proof.

Coinbase lets you buy 185 BTC at a time now?  It thought it was 50 a week now or some shit.

I can buy 50k weekly - but wait for them to verify funds. Takes a couple days. Instant buy of 1k/week. I've asked for more but this is the most willing to give me for now I guess.  I thought I was on the low end of the spectrum until now honestly.

As the title states. Wish to purchase CLAM / Payment by BTC - Dooglus as escrow

I wish to avoid the open market, the fees involved, and the affect it would have being swapped in such a volume.

Listening to offers through the end of the day Friday the 26th. I will have 185BTC to work with.

Please only make offers if you hold a minimum of 1,000 CLAM. Please do not waste my time, I will not waste yours. Let me know your best price up front, I will be snapping up the best priced deals first with a preference on volume.

If you prefer to message on Just-Dice, my name there is "Scabby" user ID 44635

37  Economy / Digital goods / [WTS] 450GH SHA256 + 1MH Scrypt (Prime) @ Zencloud - 25% OFF on: October 02, 2014, 01:52:37 PM
WTS 450GH Genesis hashlets + 1MH Prime hashlet @ Zencloud

If you bought the same today it would cost:

45 Genesis Hashlets @ $8.95 = $402.75

1 Prime hashlet @ $49.95 = $49.95

Total - $452.70

Offering for 25% under price - $339.52 in BTC

I'm happy to use a mutually agreed upon reputable escrow service if you pay the fees. Otherwise, I have bought / sold a few things on here with only positive comments left.

Feel free to make offers, because if I don't sell for my asking price within a reasonable time frame, then I will start to be more open for consideration of offers. Also - The longer I hold it, the more BTC I am collecting so I am naturally happy to lower my price some too.

Thanks for reading!

Thanks - I sent a PM that guy's way even though his last post states out of stock, never hurts to ask.

If you don't mind, leave me a PM, if it worked out. Thanks! Smiley

I talked to a lot of people, the best way is to get invited legitimately. Otherwise you just wind up losing the account. I'll just work on building myself up slowly then - Thanks for all the advice everyone.
