21  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: A case study in entry-level mining on: July 23, 2013, 08:04:04 PM
Had my first stability issue for over a month just now. cgminer was detecting ten AMUs instead of five. I unplugged/plugged the USB hub, and Quit and resumed cgminer with sudo screen -r, and that seemed to fix it.

Have you consider increasing your cooling capacity? I heard these usb miners can run pretty hot.

Not a good idea. Tracking btc exchange rate is not the goal of these forums.
23  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Spreadsheet: Invest in BTC or mining hardware? on: July 16, 2013, 07:15:52 AM
With the asics flood fast approaching, soon, day trading btc will be the only way to be profitable.

25  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Any interest in a hosting service? And what would you pay? $0 electricity costs on: July 16, 2013, 06:31:15 AM
Why not setup and use your own rig? You'll be more profitable that way.
26  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: A case study in entry-level mining on: July 15, 2013, 04:11:37 AM
The price of these miners are dropping. You can average your cost down by buying new ones, whenever you can afford to. Overall, I think you spent too much initially.
27  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Block chain size/storage and slow downloads for new users on: July 14, 2013, 10:07:59 PM
Good explanation. Thank you.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Alt Coin you like best on: July 13, 2013, 05:10:17 AM
LTC. When mt.Gox starts trading them, they will explode.
29  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is Now The Time To Buy? on: July 09, 2013, 05:10:09 AM
Buy whenever it makes a new bottom. that way you'll average your cost of entry. You can't pick the bottom. Nobody can.
30  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Prices Crashing Now! on: July 05, 2013, 05:23:18 AM
BTC is literally like Gold. Falling...

I suspect many are dumping btc and jumping on gold. Not a bad strategy given gold's current price.
31  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] GROUP BUY 100+ ASICMINER ERUPTER USB 1 BTC USA/INTERNATIONAL on: July 02, 2013, 03:33:08 AM
This group buy is for the "sapphire" version? Just want to make sure.
32  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-07-01 WSJ - Winklevoss Twins File to Launch Bitcoin Exchange-Traded Product on: July 02, 2013, 01:51:30 AM
If this is approved, anyone cares to predict when all this will come to market?
33  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you recommend people if they want the easiest USD -> BTC? on: June 28, 2013, 05:34:33 AM
I use Coinbase. There is a three  business days delay. The delay is due to ACH clearing time.
34  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: An alternative to Mt Gox? on: June 28, 2013, 05:10:24 AM
Try Coinbase. Requires a link to your checking account.
35  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: will the bitcoin reach $1000 one day...? on: June 26, 2013, 01:49:10 AM
Yes. Maybe sooner than we think ...

38  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Using both of my PCI-E slots at once on: June 25, 2013, 02:04:49 AM
I recommend you use a powered riser on the second slot. That will give more room for cooling and take some power load off your m/b.
39  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Highest paying earn bitcoin site? on: June 23, 2013, 08:48:24 PM
I've also done the "free" sites before and agree that it was not worth the time. I'm focusing on the "earn" sites that require a little bit of work but pay much better. In one day I am able to earn 0.02 BTC in my free time on Bitcoinget, which I think is pretty worth it.

Do you pay a transaction fee?. How does that affect your pay amount?
40  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling 5 USB Block Erupter ASIC Miners! on: June 23, 2013, 08:33:35 PM
These things are worth no more than 3 per 2 btc. Expect future price drop.
