21  Other / Off-topic / Re: Online Shopping on: May 02, 2019, 09:33:18 AM
Online shopping is great if you can trust the platform/seller and you know what to expect from the product. We can compare prices easily and deal with seller from distant places. But for some stuff I still prefer to go directly to the shop, because I can see and check physically the condition etc.
22  Other / Off-topic / Re: Respect is one of the most important thing in optimized community on: May 02, 2019, 09:23:16 AM
Pretty common thing in online community because it's open for everybody and people always find a reason to disagree on something.
23  Other / Off-topic / Re: Facebook Old Pics on: April 30, 2019, 07:20:02 AM
Old photos are full of memories. They can be funny as most of them show how much we have changed, or sad if you see something or someone is missing. And thanks for bringing this up, I think FB is good to store our photo because the photo normally tagged/linked to the friends, place or anything related so in a way it's like a media organization tool.
24  Other / Off-topic / Re: Friends on: April 30, 2019, 07:04:17 AM
It depends but some people see friends as people they have affection and can rely on, some define friends as connections or someone that they know and once meet/introduced. I think both are important. If you want to make new friends try to go out socializing or go to some meetup events. There's some community dedicated to hobby/interest that you can join, usually they will welcome new members because they want to grow as well.
25  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can we ever have peace? on: April 25, 2019, 08:52:52 AM
If you mean peace as opposed to war or physical conflict, etc then that is what the countries and everybody are trying to achieve. Even some people argue that war is necessary for peace. But I think the key is dialogue and communication, especially between countries or sides that have bad history. At least we can try to reduce some misunderstanding brought by generations before us.
26  Other / Off-topic / Re: Should video games be considered a sport? on: April 25, 2019, 08:41:49 AM
Same argument that some people and countries (even the olympic committee) can categorize chess as a sport. If we judge by the athletic activity then it's not a sport.
27  Other / Off-topic / Re: Protecting your email is of great importance on: April 23, 2019, 07:24:33 AM
In addition to protecting your email one can always unsubscribe to any phishing or suspicious email to prevent getting any further messages from that very email account.

I don't think that's a good practice, I mean who knows what link did they put into that unsubscribe button. If the email source is suspicious, it's better to mark this type of email as spam and just delete it.
28  Other / Off-topic / Re: In all profession, who has the most important work in our society? on: April 18, 2019, 05:23:39 AM
In general, every profession plays an important role in the society but I think society decides the degree of importance with the amount of money they offer to the profession.

You should have your own support system. Start to build one if you don't have. You know, like families or close friends that you can always rely for support no matter what. Think about them, or better go see them when you feel down.
But I think this is only the 1st defence, I know some people suffers depression and they need to see qualified people to help them.

I think it's really cool technology. Apart from entertainment and gaming, I guess it will be very useful in education.
31  Other / Off-topic / Re: Marketing freelance job on: April 16, 2019, 08:50:44 AM
There are many websites that connect freelancers with clients. For example Upwork, Toptal, and Guru. And there are also websites who cater to just one type of work, for example Textbroker and Contently for writing job, or 99Designs for designing.

32  Other / Off-topic / Re: Need help in education on: April 11, 2019, 06:28:39 AM
I see that you need to do both working and studying. The best thing is if you can earn money while doing something related to your study. I agree you should give private lessons or tutor, if that's option available. Or if your school needs some assistant or whatever, I think it will make your life easier. If not, then you should look for flexible job that can accommodate your schedule.
33  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to earn money with Instagram? on: April 11, 2019, 05:30:27 AM
Instagram is one of social media channels so the way you make money is relatively the same as in other social media. You could promote your own business through instagram, it's a pretty common thing to do for businesses. Use instagram to market or sell your products or services. Or you could promote other business but first you need to build your followers and be a popular account. Now you are an influencer and you could help other business by promoting it through your account and charge as a service.
34  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why is it hard to say sorry on: April 09, 2019, 06:21:50 AM
Well because it's hard to admit that we are wrong. To say sorry can hurt someone self-esteem. We're afraid people will reject or even shame us after that. It's pretty common feeling but I guess we apologize because we want to fix something or strengthen relationship, so it's the right thing to do.

I use Grammarly and LastPass too, they have helped me a lot. And BreakTimer sounds useful, definitely will try it.
36  Other / Off-topic / Re: How Can I Quit My Problem? on: April 04, 2019, 09:36:47 AM
Well some (minor) problem you can resolve by avoiding or ignoring them, but for most problems we normally can't do that. We need to work it out.
I don't know the nature of your problem but I bet there's people, probably close to you, that can help if they have enough detail about the problem  Wink For now you looks frustrated, just be cool and try solving your problem one-by-one.
37  Other / Off-topic / Re: Entertainment options on: April 04, 2019, 09:22:42 AM
Go socializing or do your hobby. Usually I feel refreshed after going out with friends and just spend time with your closed ones. Another thing is to do your hobby. It totally depends on what you like, because people are different. Maybe watching movie, read book, visit forum, play sports. Or just walk around outside.

Technology wise, I hope that space travel and colony will happen in the next 100 year.
39  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to communicate with inadequate people? on: April 02, 2019, 06:32:16 AM
Some people say the effective way to disarm rude people is to be cool and respond with politeness. If the person keeps doing that, try to talk it out, ask to lower his voice and so on.
40  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is global warming a scam? on: March 28, 2019, 10:18:38 AM
I think there's plenty of scientific evidences on global warming. And is it better if we believe that it's real? That case we will try to be more considerate about the environment.
