21  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: Refund lists for round 17 of Dz Coop. on: March 14, 2014, 05:31:01 PM
Requested refund for 6 shares by email, as per instructions. Don't know if anyone is keeping track but thought I would put this here.

Got my refund today. I recommend anyone still waiting follow the instructions on the front page of this thread carefully. No extra fluff, just the details in an email. Good luck!
22  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: becarefull with www.sushi-review.com is scam on: March 14, 2014, 11:03:35 AM
I bought 4 miners + hosting from sushi and they have been running without issue for a month.

24  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [In stock]The plan for selling and hosting 1 T Dragon miner in china on: March 11, 2014, 08:52:13 PM
Has anyone here taken up the hosting package? Is it as expected? Obviously one can't easily do escrow for several months hashing.
25  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [SOLD OUT] Gridseed 5 chip miners Shipping from UK to worldwide on: March 04, 2014, 08:55:18 AM
any news ?  Smiley

Given how packing was still taking place at 7pm last night, I suspect they'll be going out today.

Are refunds an option on the controller boards? I ordered two, but I now have spare raspberry pi's that would do the job just fine.

And listen to PMB, go stick on Ed Rush and Opticals Wormhole and pour some rum. I will be doing later when all finished.

Excellent advice.
27  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The completely evaluation of Dragon 1 T bitcoin miner from china on: March 01, 2014, 10:22:04 PM
What is the stated value of the item for customs? We have to pay a pretty hefty 20% import duty from China to the UK.

I usually try and host my miners with foreign companies as a result. Although it's hard to find someone reliable. I this case, I think pcfli is offering a hosting option in the group buys subforum, but I am not yet sufficiently convinced of his/her trustworthiness to jump in. Otherwise, it seems like a good deal imho.

I'll go for 2 shares sell or refund, whichever higher

Do we need any extra cables to connect the PSU to the miners?
How are the controller boards powered?

I'm seeing 0% BTC ROI. (Paid .35 per shares got .35 back)
But still ok Smiley

I'm seeing payout as ~0.351 yes, but I'm fairly sure I paid closer to 0.32. Might depend on date of order or round, I guess.

Got my payout. Thanks for a profitable group buy to everyone concerned. Very happy.  Grin
32  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [ANN] Stratum mining protocol - ASIC ready on: February 25, 2014, 10:58:18 PM
Ah no, what you want then is client.reconnect . If you give the client a reconnect and just send it the same stratum url it will reconnect to the same url with a new connection.

Thanks, that's the one I want!

It would be nice if this were documented somewhere. Maybe I'll have a crack at reading your source and making a wiki page about it, once I'm done with my current project.

lot of fud in the knc thread after this announcement: https://www.kncminer.com/news/news-75

clear as mud.

I must me missing something or extremely gullible. To me it looks like development is on target, they have a way of compensating for any slippage, and performance is generally better than expected.

That... seems OK to me?
34  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [ANN] Stratum mining protocol - ASIC ready on: February 25, 2014, 09:54:24 PM
Unfortunately very few pools currently support reconnect. We can't force them to implement a feature that only benefits miners Undecided

Where is the documentation on 'reconnect'? This sounds like it would be useful to me, but I can't find it on slush's page.

My post here is as close to the official documentation as it gets:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=108533.msg1557099#msg1557099

That's excellent. Thanks. Unfortunately, I was hoping to find a way to tell the miner to reconnect (other than just tearing down the connection) so that I could nefariously switch the extranonce for a different one. I misread the post.

Can you summarise why we might want a refund? I've probably missed the news... Have they slipped, or are we just looking at the current diff and not seeing much profit to be had?

Thanks guys, very efficient. Positive ROI by all measures. What more can we ask for? Smiley
38  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [GATHERING INTEREST] 1TH/s 28nm 1000W ASIC miner $5250 on: February 23, 2014, 11:12:34 AM
If people are interested please pm me or post here the rough amount of units you would like.

I'd take 1 unit if I can find someone to host it for me. (Investigating that now but open to offers.) - UK import duty is a killer.
