21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Expanse (EXP) - 1st Stable fork of Ethereum on: January 08, 2018, 03:17:12 PM
Is there an official Discord?

Also, I can't send between accounts using my wallet, it shows I have a few in one wallet and few in another and want to send it all to one wallet but when I try to send some it won't let me add anything and if I hit the send all button it doesn't populate anything. Either way still just shows total amount 0.00, any idea what's going on?

Is there an official Discord yet?

It would be a good idea to maybe do a monthly update on a specific day each month if someone from the dev team actually monitors this thread. In the monthly update you could cover what has been done for applications to exchanges, technical changes/fixes, anything related to increasing coin holder value in regards to meeting roadmap goals (once we have a whitepaper and roadmap).

Unless we have a good PR presence with recent news so many people will just stumble upon old 2014 news or forums when trying to research this coin.

This is looking like it wants to multibag huge... is it actively being developed again?
Please post the official Twitter (and Discord) when a new one is up, I still only see the old one from 2013-2014.

A new site and roadmap wouldn't hurt things either.

Yes, you do not need the DAG fix.

Try to increase rawintensity, 4GB - 864 or 972
                                         8GB - 1132
And use -w 8

So apparently the two threads are working now because you see 18 of these   ***  [01:09:50] Initialising kernel cryptonight.cl with nfactor 10, n 1024 ***    instead of 9 when the miner first loads.

You the man. So the rig went from 6.42KH/s average to 7.5KH/s with 9 cards at 1150 core 2200 mem, now I can bring up the core to somewhere between 1150-1300 and find the best performance to watt ratio.
Thanks!

RC2 = Release Candidate 2 = New Version

Yes, "-g 2"

Ok, I installed RC2 and setup a new work group using SGMiner 5.5.5 here is my script...

--no-submit-stale --kernel cryptonight -o stratum+tcp://etn.easyhash.io:3632 -u etnkB5oi7TadHKKrKf5d89M9XLAekyHXNG84Mi2j4Gi7BvohmSrx3CKKjAw2fN1WGXGGgUWWV3HfpLR U1BUAqwW219jmQJQJcT -p x --rawintensity 512 -w 4 -g 2 --text-only

I can't tell but I don't think anything changed. After the cards overclock it always says....

[01:09:49] Initialising kernel cryptonight.cl with nfactor 10, n 1024
[01:09:49] Initialising kernel cryptonight.cl with nfactor 10, n 1024
[01:09:49] Initialising kernel cryptonight.cl with nfactor 10, n 1024
[01:09:50] Initialising kernel cryptonight.cl with nfactor 10, n 1024

Then it starts mining away but at the same hashrates... It's still mining with one thread I think?
Is there an easy way to tell when I have it right? I haven't noticed a difference so I think something isn't working right for me.

Also, I see the prompt on the rig now to apply the DAG fix, (Im using RX 580s) I should not do that right? This beta already has that but its just prompting because it doesn't recognize the beta build?

To use 2 threads in sgminer, download the new beta version of SMOS.

http://download.simplemining.net/beta/

Which one rc2 or the other one, what does the rc2 mean?

Once I install this what is the command line string to get it to run 2 threads, is it "-g 2" ?
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - Easy to use GPU MINING Operating System on: November 20, 2017, 10:23:44 PM
Today i tried XMR-Stak-AMD for Electroneum and connection works, also with ClaymoreXMR.. but i had it little bit unstable on my 6x RX 580 rig with SMOS so i go back to Claymore-ETH.

Edit: is there some news about VEGA support in future releases?

I got SGMiner and ClaymoreXMR working with my RX 580s but the ClaymoreXMR was very unstable no matter what settings I did... it got much better hashrate but was not stable at all. You went back to Claymore ETH to mine ETH stuff or you got it working for Electroneum too?

Do you or anyone else know how to run 2 threads with SGMiner in SM OS?

You would typically do the following in windows

"rawintensity": "512",
            "worksize": "4",
            "gpu-threads": "2"

I tried -g 2 to try to get it use 2 threads but it didn't work so I'm just doing  raw 1008 worksize 8 threads 1
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - Easy to use GPU MINING Operating System on: November 16, 2017, 02:50:12 AM
Can you only mine 1 thread with SGMiner in SMOS or is there a way to make it run 2?

I tried "rawintensity 512 -w 4 -g 2 " but that didn't work.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Electroneum mining in Simplemining OS with AMD Help for better HS/s RX580 on: November 15, 2017, 06:21:30 AM
So I setup Simplemining yesterday to mine Electroneum with 22 RX580 spread across 2 rigs. The only miner I could get working in SMOS was sgminer-gm-5.5.5 and sgminer-gm-5.5.8,
I heard that NVIDIA users can also get ccminer-skunk-krnlx to work. My question is... has anyone with AMD cards running Simplemining OS figured out how to mine with claymore-xmr-v10.2?

The main thing is that I want to see if I can get better HS/s with something else... with 22 RX580s Im only getting 16500MH/s which is roughly 700-750MH/s per card.
I mine ETH with these same cards at almost 31MH/s, I figured I should be able to get 900 on these if everything was optimal.

If anyone is curious on the string for SGminer
--no-submit-stale --kernel cryptonight -o stratum+tcp://electroneum.hashparty.io:7777 -u WALLET -p x --rawintensity 1000 -w 8 --text-only (1000, 1008, 1024, 1152 all of those work for rawintensity)

So yeah, if someone can get Electroneum on AMD in SMOS figured out using claymore-xmr-v10.2 or even xmr-stak-amd please help me out and post the string.

Hey guys, I'm having this very strange and odd behavior on my first 12 GPU rig (TB250-BTC PRO, 1070's). The bios is set up properly, the USB flashed with the latest SMOS but the only thing I get after power-on and ubuntu startup is the following screen with non-ending repeating message... No updates starting, the rig obviously not visible in the web console. I spent the whole day trying all possible stuff... I would appreciate any kind of helping hand here. Thank y alot.

Screen shows:

Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS simpleminer tty1

I had the same thing the first time but that was so long ago I don't remember. I would down to 1 card and also make sure your BIOS is set to iGPU (the CPUs GPU) as the default video out. Don't leave that on auto. There were two or three things I had to change in the BIOS on my ASROCK Mining board but after that it was golden.

TRY

--rawintensity 1000

omit the "-w 8"

What will that do? I have it working now, I've tried 1000, 1008, 1024, 1156.
1156 gets about 730MH a card where as the others I get 676MH a card.
So no one knows if you can make SGMiner run 2 threads in SMOS? Or a way to get Claymore XMR to work?

I'm just disappointed with the hashrate.. I get almost 31MH/s out of these same RX 580s on ETH. I figure I should be in the 900s for this algo.

Is there a way to mine Electroneum with claymore-xmr-v10.2 in SMOS with AMD?

I managed to get my RX 580s to run sgminer-gm-5.5.5 with this string.

*********************

--no-submit-stale --kernel cryptonight -o stratum+tcp://electroneum.hashparty.io:7777 -u etnkB5oi7TadHKKrKf5d89M9XLAekyHXNG84Mi2j4Gi7BvohmSrx3CKKjAw2fN1WGXGGgUWWV3HfpLR U1BUAqwW219jmQJQJcT -p x --rawintensity 1152 -w 8 --text-only

*********************

The problem is, my hashrate is only 730MH/s, I have tried rawintensity 1000, 1008, 1024, etc. Running 1152 gave me a small boost but it is still bad.
Is there a way to run 2 threads? I tried the below command but I guess 2 threads isn't an option in SMOS?

***
rawintensity 512 -w 4 -g 2

***

I should be able to get ~900MH/s out of these cards with the BIOS and OC I have. So if anyone knows a string to get claymore-xmr-v10.2 in SMOS working with AMD cards to mine Electroneum then please get back to me.

Thanks!
