non puoi comprare sia, hanno tanti problemi con wallet, non tutti exchange la scambiano...
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain just announced the AntMiner A3 - 815GH/s Siacoin miner - Blake(2b) on: January 17, 2018, 11:30:05 AM
Announcement from Sia team :

Bitmain has announced ASICs for Sia, shipping in 7 days. 1275w, 815 GH/s, ~$3200 USD. They are more expensive and less efficient than the Obelisk SC1, but they ship several months sooner (7 days as opposed to several months).

Bitmain has a long history of being abusive towards coin communities, their customers, and towards coin developers. We prepared for something like this by adding an extra feature to the SC1. We can do a soft-fork that slightly changes the PoW algorithm which would invalidate the bitmain ASICs, but allow the SC1 units to continue working. In the event of an attack from Bitmain, we can activate this soft fork. At this time, I do not think it is necessary, but if they start mining empty blocks or otherwise prove problematic for the network, we have recourse that does not involve destroying the usefulness of the SC1 units. This fork would of course require community adoption, it's not something the devs could decide to activate on their own. It would be a UASF, because the majority hashrate would not be standing behind the soft fork.

Overall, I do not think we have much to worry about. Hopefully (and very likely), this soft-fork will never be necessary. But I wanted to remind everyone (including Bitmain) that, at the end of the day, it is the community that has control, not the miners. If ASIC manufacturers act in a way that is harmful to the network, we have recourse.

24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [NEW] Bitmain Announces Antminer A3 on: January 17, 2018, 08:55:12 AM

I think it's very risky to buy A3 because it mines SIA and sia is Obelisk team so I've just heard that Sia team can and will change something in coin algo so it will be mined only by Obelisk. Another reason is that Sia Coin wallet incounters some issues and have to be corrected, the fork is expected 21 Jan, the wallet doesn't work right now, so it's everything in the hands of Sia team and Obelisk and not Bitmain...And what would you do with A3 in 10 days if nothing works...
Last but not least A3 is not power efficient as Obelisk and A3 is very noisy, so it seems obsolete...

Where do you see that Sia team will change something in their algo? Also, can't Bitmain just update the firmware to cope with it?
A3 is not really better than Obelisk, that's why A3 is not a pre-order.
Probably buying the coins will be less risky than buying a miners.

But it's not that simple buying coins guys right now, the wallet doesn't function well so it all in the hands of sia team that is obelisk team...
Then it sounds strange that Obelisk launches an Asic for theis siacoin mining and then Bitmain comes first this way with industrial type Asic not improved in dB and power consumption... Sure they ship in time?
If I were Obelisk I'd try to be quicker in shipping their asics or better in customising their machines...

BTW here is a good site where you can model future Sia and Decred earnings with  Obelisk and Bitmain.

Obelisk data are preloaded there, and I just added Bitmain.

If you estimate that Bitmain is also mining with his miners, and put 10000 miners in 1st batch, you will get profit of $1500 for the 1st month

30  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 1% fee solo mining USA/DE 245 blocks solved! on: December 29, 2017, 04:49:03 PM
Please excuse my newbie question - I've been using pools for a while but I am new to solo mining... I searched but I couldn't find an answer anywhere:

If I mine on solo.ckpool.org, how do I find out if I found a block? Is there any way to find out/get notified if you found a block other than the payment (eventually) arriving in your wallet? That seems weird given that the information (I suppose) should be available to the operator of the pool, it is also shown (as statistics) on blocktrail.com, but it seems like it is not being shown anywhere to the users mining on ckpool. All I can see is the (very basic) stats of the ongoing hash, but not the result (if any).

Am I missing something?
Nope you're not missing much, except one fairly major point - when a block is found, it appears instantaneously (not eventually) in the user's wallet as it's generated directly at their address thus bypassing any pool wallets or waiting for payouts or incurring any extra fees. Since it appears instantly, I can't possibly notify the block finder any faster than that. As for more information, the pool is intentionally no frills and extremely high performance. A list on a page is not going to bring you the block any easier, it just incurs overhead and ultimately is of zero utility. This forum is where all the public notifications occur and we cheer each other on instead of it being impersonal.

Hi, I'm new and have some questions. So if I connect from Europe and I'd like to mine in solo in your pool I have to indicate deckpool.org:3333 on my miner, right?
Once my miner is mining where can I find my miner's work or how can I know that everything is ok?
Thanks

35  Local / Mining (Italiano) / Re: Baikal Giant X10 on: November 17, 2017, 07:46:05 AM
Grazie.
