21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is binance dex a truly decentralized exchange? on: May 08, 2019, 07:30:28 AM
binance becomes decentralized? come on, everyone knows he is a centralized exchange and it will remain like that. so in the end, I thought the test would fail. people will use centralized exchange more than decentralization.
It is an extension of the main binance exchange but this one will be decentralized and it's user interface will be similiar to the main one.
From what I read on some articles review regarding to binance dex, some said it is not fully decentraized. But I think I need to find more information about this.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hardcap ICO is no guarantee that the project will succeed on: May 07, 2019, 09:47:38 AM
This I agree with. A lot of people think projects that meet hardcap are ideal for investing in. This is a very big mistake and I wonder how people don't realize that it's not the hardcap that matters but the usability of the project's coins/tokens
I also agree to this. some of the projects that I have seen really have reached the hardcap, only that it is not in accordance with expectations. however, it all depends on the team, even a project can be run when the softcap is collected. well, that's why there are limitations to softcap and hardcap.
Indeed. There is no quarantee that hardcap reached icos will succeed, but they are potential to be rather than not reached ones. Even if the ico reached hardcap, it still needs time to develop and implement what the team has planned according to the roadmap. Some even take years to make it happen. An ICO that I know reached hardcap last year still yet to see it succeed assuming its token price that still below its ICO price though the development is ongoing.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Boom to $100K Will Destroy Altcoins on: May 07, 2019, 05:52:13 AM
I don't think with Bitcoin's price boom to $100k, altcoins will be destroyed. Altcoin which has a function in its implementation of the global market needs will continue to survive and even follow the rise in the price of bitcoin. We can take an example when bitcoin price soaring last year, altcoins price also went up. But only real altcoins with real implementation and development, not shitcoins  Cheesy
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe in IEO BITTREX? on: May 06, 2019, 09:29:57 AM
IEO could be the new thing today, the only problem is that they are sold out the minute it has been officially released. Of course we can control the market and we really don't know what's going to happen.
Agree basically IEO and ICO is almost same. in IEO, Exchanger has the entire power to manipulate the price and the coins. That's why the coins can be sold in just a second.
Just like IEO, ICO is more risky to invest because it's a new project and we don't know what they do on behind. As the saying goes "We can't trust people on the first meet."
IEO and ICO are the same thing, at the beginning of ICO it was also legit because there were many who reached hardcap even during pre-ico, but now there are many ICOs that have been a year and haven't reached the softcap.
I agree. IEO and ICO basicly are the same, only the method that different, which is crowdfunding held in exchange and the other one on private website. One of IEO's advantages is the token/coin of the conducted will surely listed on the exchange. But in regard of the price after the IEO event, there is no quarantee that it will not be dumped. So, this is still business matter that exchanges may get more profit by using this strategy. Listing and coin offering process in one package with certain fee, and all will be handled by the exchange.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wallet hacking is it possible? on: May 05, 2019, 02:45:30 AM
There are several type of wallets exist for now. Web wallet, desktop wallet, mobile wallet, hardware wallet like trezor or ledger and also cold wallet. Web wallet usually hacked because of phising sites. But I think all kind of wallets and devices that connected to internet are possible to be hacked. So we can only stay alert and aware while connected to the internet.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the IEO cheating / Should I invest in IEO? on: May 04, 2019, 02:11:27 PM
Why do new investors consider the IEO a scam / Should I invest in IEO?
The fact that IEO is a form of mobilization is very smart because it minimizes risks for investors. However, there are two big problems that are common in IEO: the number of tokens that are being held too much by some people, if the token floor will bring a good amount to them, if the token is reduced to the floor then they will quickly take a loss or sell out of the market but the big risk is to be in new investors. Therefore, for those who have lost their money in this market, they lose faith and consider it a fraud.
Everyone please rate IEO projects on the exchanges
In my opinion it is not right if the IEO is considered a scam. The IEO is actually not much different from ICO, only the place. The IEO's objective is in principle the same as ICO, which is to offer / sell to prospective investors who want to join and support a project.
Meanwhile, both forms of fundraising also have the same risk, namely the possibility of prices dropping after that, and the possibility of the project failing.
In investments like this, there is no guarantee that the project must be a success, both ICO and IEO. Everything returns to our decision.

28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can ETH reach $200 after the upgrade on: May 03, 2019, 09:46:30 AM
I thinkI have a confidence that eth will surpass $200 with or without the upgrade. And it will be higher if the results of the upgrade are in accordance with the target.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Crime is getting Worse, what do we do? on: May 02, 2019, 01:36:17 PM
I think one of the options which we can do is not to keep a large amount of funds in centralized exchange. We know that centralized exchanges are more vulnerable to hacking than decentralized exchanges even though the centralized exchange is popular and has a high level of security.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO's Have Been Getting EXPOSED! Finally... on: May 02, 2019, 04:34:16 AM
There are really a lot of scam among ICO. However, I do not agree that 99.9% is garbage. I think that just over half of the ICO are unsuccessful projects and scam.
There are still ICO’s who succeeds on their project though its sad because their value are quiet low after the exchange listing as expected. If the project deletes your comment on the telegram or keeps on ignoring the message of every investors/bounty hunters then it can be consider as a scam and already a loss for those who work for it.
I agree and I think telegram community chat is one of important clues that can be used as reference to monitor the potential fraud. The community and investors can judge from these conversations both the technical and non-technical issues of the project even though this cannot be the only benchmark.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers running free on: May 01, 2019, 11:19:25 AM
I agree and also wondering how are the scammers news now? Have these ico scammers been arrested? This is an important point to recover the ico investors and public trust. As long as these scammers freely wandering out there, public who had no experiences but interested to crypto will doubt to take part in the crypto world.
If this point can be overcome, I am sure it will give a positive impact to global adoption.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All altcoins without proof of work will be destroyed on: April 30, 2019, 02:02:23 PM
This technology continues to evolve and developments continue. Every change will certainly produce a new one as well as a new consensus mechanism that will be born and overcome problems and shortcomings in the previous one. POW is still a preferred choice, but the current development of POS is also an option by considering various advantages and disadvantages of each. But it does not mean that altcoin with a mechanism other than POW will not survive, precisely with these changes and developments, the new consensus mechanism will try to overcome the shortcomings of the previous mechanism.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BiBox Token Review on: April 30, 2019, 06:43:02 AM
We can suggest anyone to invest in one project or not. I guess we all know this. Technically, I think Bibox is one of many good exchanges existing right now. Featuring smart tools and AI functionality make this exchange one of the advanced tech platform. Developed by a great team with respective expertise to provide good exchange. The only cons that I think is that Bibox has  not support fiat currencies yet. But may be in the near future.
Overall, I think Bibox is a good exchange. And for me, it is worth to invest.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nike is launching a Cryptocurrency Marketplace! Will this help Crypto Moon? on: April 29, 2019, 10:30:22 AM
According to Josh Gerben, founder of Gerben Law Firm, a trademark law firm which works with clients worldwide, Nike has an intention to launch a cryptocurrency. It is mentioned on his twitter : https://twitter.com/JoshGerben/status/1121127089120452608
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Jaguar testing IOTA rewards for drivers on: April 29, 2019, 06:29:59 AM
It is actually a great news for cryptocurrency and blockchain space. More established and reputable companies adopting this technology. This news will provide positive sentiment towards the market.
In my opinion, the steps taken by Jaguar are very appropriate because large companies should support existing platforms by collaborating, rather than creating tokens and their own platforms. By this way, the startup company platforms can develop and compete better.
But we know, business matters....

36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum transferring to another address automatically on: April 27, 2019, 11:12:46 AM
My niece was once careless when registering for a bounty. He submitted his private key instead of his wallet address (MEW), while there were several tokens that were of high value. Eth stored inside was drained and remaining tokens were slowly sent out too. Twice I and my friend at a different location, tried to help him by sending a number of gas fees to pull out tokens that still had value. I had the role of sending in a number of gas fees, while my friend would immediately sent out certain tokens shortly thereafter. However, everything didn't work properly, eth that came in wasn't even seen by me and my friend, after being reloaded many times, the eth has been sent out again to another address. I didn't know this because our internet connection was inadequate or something else. What was clear, the perpetrator was always faster. So, we just gave up.
I'm sorry I can't give any advice or solution, I just hope you can figure out how to solve your problem.

38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] 📒⭐👑 Jinbi Token ~ ‘The Golden ICO’ - Merging Gold With Blockchain 👑⭐📒 on: April 26, 2019, 08:37:59 AM
10 days ago I received mail from them, requesting any document proving my address, for KYC reasons.
I uploaded such document and still waiting for approval.
it looks like you will get approval around the next 2-3 months, because there are still many participants who have sent documents a few months ago and have not received approval.
Oh geez, I forgot to do KYC. I just check on the telegram channel that the 22nd April is the start of the distribution and now is 26th. Does anyone know whether it is still possible to do KYC now?
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After Galaxy S10, next is Samsung Coin? on: April 26, 2019, 05:20:54 AM
Corporate cryptocurrencies by big company with their private blockchain means centralized. And this is contrary to the philosophy of the blockchain itself which is open source, transparent, without third parties and decentralized.
I personally support the adoption of these big companies. Samsung mentioned the hybrid blockchain, a combination of public and private blockchain. Let's wait for its certainty.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is advertising for ICOs unethical? on: April 25, 2019, 12:15:22 PM
I've noticed many ICOs have to spend a lot of money on promotions and advertising.

For example, let's say an ICO raises 10 million dollars but has to spend 9 million on promotion.

Therefore, they only really raised 1 million for the project.

Isn't this unethical?

If you're starting a company and looking for investors the traditional way via stock equity, you would never spend 9 million or even 5 million or even 2 million in order to raise 10 million from investors.

This begs the question, what ratio of promotion cost versus funds raised for ICOs is ethical?

And how do we know if an ICO is using an ethical ratio?

I have never found any project that spend $9M in promotion where they spend $10M from token sale. Do you have any proof in this regard?
Yeah, I've never seen this case too. What kind of management that spend more than 50% of the raised fund for promotion ? I mean, your example is just exaggerating. It is illogical with that fund allocation. Commonly ICOs allocate the fund for marketing and promotion not more than 10% of the total supply or fund collected.
