Here is the problem I'm having with the multipoolminer. It's launching ccminer_cuda9 and I'm not sure if it's working with my gpu...

OK, thanks guys...

I'm trying to use multipoolminer. It requires a wallet address... What address do I give it?

I have it setup like this... Do I give a wallet address that the auto exchange would convert into? Let's say LTC in my case for the small transaction fees...
Code:
powershell -version 5.0 -noexit -executionpolicy bypass -windowstyle maximized -command "&.\multipoolminer.ps1 -wallet -username razorseal -workername gaming_desktop -region US -currency usd -type nvidia, cpu -poolname miningpoolhub, miningpoolhubcoins -algorithm cryptonight,ethash,ethash2gb,equihash,lyra2z -donate 10 -watchdog"

This is more confusing than I thought...

Do I do anything on the miningpoolhub's website besides registering, or does the multiminingpool take care of everything?

How does this work? Do we get PM'd? Just copy to sig and post away? wait to get accepted? Not sure..  Huh

I'm one of those coming from nicehash... it was very simple to use and I was bringing in around 90 bucks a bucks per month with CPU and GPU running...

Now I had to fast track to actual pool mining.

I tried nanopools with zcash and monero. then vertcoin's oneclickminer, and also pool.gold for bitcoin gold...

Thing is, these things change in profibility so often, it's hard to constantly keep track of it. Today vertcoin and btg have been pretty much swapping places...

so I looked into auto switching pools and came up with miningpoolhub. I usually do the monkey see monkey do method on youtube, but there is barely anything on it, so I'm trying to gather information on how to do it...

I tried the awesome miner, but it is little complex to setup, i'm going to try multipoolminer.

Still confused on few things. do I need a wallet for each currency? do I use auto exchange? is it a useful feature?

So much to read in this thread, but I'm wokring onit. I figured I ask around while I read...

Thanks for the help guys. Going to try to setup multipoolminer now.

I also don't like constantly changing pools. I end up with fractions of currency on bunch of pools. I rather just work on one, or let it deposit into one (like nicehash did, so it accumaltes one currency faster)

So most people are constantly switching around?

What's the point on sticking to a coin that is not already profitable if you don't switch, if the word 'Constant' to you is a frequencies, that is up to you.

I mean, I'm making couple bucks a day at best. if I'm always switching, it makes it pretty hard to build a pool of anything. lol

Someone needs to make an auto switching miner... Like nicehash, but direct mining.

there are certain app for mining softwares like winminer that offers auto coins switching if you want to. Roll Eyes

So you're telling me that you wake up in the middle of the night and switch your miner when a certain currency takes a hit? come on  Roll Eyes

I tried winminer, not taking anyone new right now. Also tried betterhash, which is nice, but it seems profits are higher if I do vertcoin right now.

Gotcha... that helps a bit. I see they also pull data from other exchanges, which also fluctuates the price.

Hey everyone,

I'm curious the discrepency I'm having on coinwarz vs whattomine... I entered my h/s for lyra2rev2 and equihash...

one says I need to be mining Bitcoin Gold and the other says to mine vertcoin... same rates entered. looks like different exchanges, but still...

any idea how I can pick what to mine?

ps. I'll be using 1x GTX 970

I started off with nanopool's zcash, but then realized I could make slightly more if I go VTC or BTG...

30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / nanopool for monero showing me offline on: December 08, 2017, 05:58:31 PM
Hey guys,

Now sure if nanopool has their own forum (couldn't find it) but I'm a bit confused as to what's going on with my nanopool mining monero.

After the whole nicehash ordeal and losing like 70 bucks, I looked into some alts and came up with nanopool. The whole mining thing is still confusing to me, but I got zcash up and running and bringing in little bit of money.

I'm also trying to get the CPU running for monero (cryptonight) and I got it running. I'm hashing about 131 or so with my i5-2500k OC'd...

I do see the shares being found etc and it's running good... However when I look at my stats on nanopool, it's showing me offline with sporadic share dumps. zcash doesn't do this. It shows me online chugging away...

any ideas why? Mind you I only started both of these few hours ago, with monero being about an hour old...

I would assume everything is setup correctly, because I am getting the small payouts and stuff, so there is a successful connection...

Can someone tell me what's going on, or point me in the right direction? Thanks!

here is the link. now it's showing me online, but keeps going offline...

so much hate for nicehash...

It was the easiest way to setup mining and bring in BTC. I can't think of any other simpler way to download 1 software, and bring in 100 dollars worth of bitcoin every month on a 5 year old gaming computer.

We've hit 15K and surpassed it... What now? 20K by end of year? LOL

What else is out there?

Minergate has been going for quite some time now.

That one has been considered scammish as hash rates are very low, so they're taking a decent cut from your hashing power.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NiceHash hacked? on: December 07, 2017, 12:12:43 PM
What I'm shocked about is, how btc didn't take a hit and did the total opposite. biggest heist in bitcoin history, and price still keeps going up? Did I just jinx it? lol....

if this was real, I would say nicehash will have a better plan for keeping money secure now (if they stay in business) but I don't think they'll have good payments... who is going to use the service now?

I see alot of other options here, but none is easy as nicehash. It was literally, download app, benchmark, start making money.

easyhash.io will require little bit of setup... What else is out there?

I ain't really sure what they plan to do with them, everyone knows where they are and are watching. The FBI can trace bitcoin transactions now so it's dead money.

Yup. It's not like they can take the btc to an exchange and cash it out for USD or EUR... That wallet is now blacklisted, and I don't see it going anywhere...

Im sure it probably got exchanged for a privacy based coin and laundered already.  That shit is gone.

You would have seen the outgoing transaction on the blockchain. 0 spent out of it.

That's the thing about btc... there is no name associated to it, but you can track it's whereabouts.

Makes me wonder about the future of nicehash. I have a feeling they are going to just shut down soon... I don't see anyone wanting to use their services to buy mining power, which means they won't be able "sell mining power"...

I was making about 2 dollars per day with my 970 and cpu. I would suspect it being more like 50 cents a day now.

What was the minimun payout?

Low-key was no minimum payout but weekly schedule
bigger players could have daily payouts
users of Nicehash miner could increase frequency of payouts

Something like that. They acted about 24 hours prior to the weekly payout that most miners are on.

I  believe it's .0005 btc as long as you are transferring .01 or less. After, it's %2.

So most people waited until. .01 then transferred. At least that's what I was planning on doing... so I lost about 70 bucks.

It's too much if you directly put it into your wallet. I think it's 4% or something. That's a hefty amount

Nicehash was the main attraction to the people who were new
to the crypta world and wanted to dive in straight away and mine some coins on their equipment
of course,in most cases it was a waste of time if we are talking about profit
but it helped to get acquainted with bitcoin and altcoins
so now its fate is unclear, hope NH recover from the hack and continue its operations

How was it a waste of mine? I was making about 75 dollars a month on my gaming computer that I never shut off. All of a sudden, it started making money for me in btc. It burned about 34 dollars in electric (which I didn't see as a cost since it never shut off anyways).

this is serious people, this can decrease the interest and trust in crypto currency. waiting for more detailed news and wanting to see who is responsible for this.

What can they do with this money though? That wallet is going to be on a hotlist and closely watched. It's not like they can go to GDAX, send it there and cash it out.

When USDT got hit for 30 million last week, it didn't even budge bitcoin, I don't know what this will do.
