Hey guys,
I have two $100 Bitmain coupons available for donation to Kano Pool miners, just hit me with a PM.
That's the spirit, if you have any takers they can ping me for my 6 $100 tokens too. Am i right in thinking that the new s9i don't allow coupon use ? Not sure but worth checking, I've just given 1 coupon away 5 more left. When do they expire? If good for another month I'll take 2 if possible. Also I hope we get this block, fees are rising, 13.3btc is estimate for this one so far. 40 mins and nobody found it! 1 $100 expire June first, 4 $100 expire eleventh June and the mystery $big expire thirtieth June 3 down and 3 $100 coupons $100 expire eleventh June left. Just for the record, I just upgraded all (11) of mine per Fanatic26's comment without a problem.

Avalon might use more power over 30C, specs pertain to 30C usage. Still best machine on the market. These two have been running fine at this temp.  my temps in a 25c room https://imgur.com/wYUDgD8 |

I've upgrade 841s firmware to the latest version, no issues and the fans is no longer stuck on 100%.

It means that the miner will stop hashing if it overheats, to protect it from damaging itself.
Thanks but have you upgraded the Avalon 841s MM Firmware to Version 8411803-14b0f10 yet or know anyone who has? |

Hi Guys,
Has anyone upgraded the Avalon 841s MM Firmware to Version 8411803-14b0f10 yet? Any advice/steer would be nice. The change log talks lists the following fixes:
- Fix the led doesn't display red when the miner too hot
- Update the miner too hot protection
- Fix the total asic always display 0
I'm more interested in the "miner too hot protection" are there any details on what this means exactly?

nb. fans are maxing out at 100% once temps are low 70s Centigrade and its whinnning like my old 955's piston!

Yes I have done that. No issues, why would there be any?  You think it detects that it is an Avalon and destroys it? Thanks for your reply, I guess I'm being overtly cautious. So I see you are a fan of SciFi like I am too  Don't be giving Bitmain ideas! |

As we’re basically mining blind at the moment, how long do the payments take to transfer into our wallets?
Very curious about the amount of coins I’ve mined so far... Yes, pretty much. They have to push mining rewards manually at the moment so it can be anything from a day too several days before your balance updates. What I can say with certainty is that it's deffinately worth it and you should throw everything you have at it. If my kitchen sink could hash, it would be mining right now.....funny man! |
