There is a new subreddit dedicated to Litecoin discussion at http://www.reddit.com/r/truelitecoin and on twitter @truelitecoin

Any addition or benefit beyond the already well used http://reddit.com/r/litecoin ?

The goal is to allow for more open discussion about Litecoin related topics. Topics and comments were getting censored and removed from /r/litecoin if your opinions differed from the moderators.

Bitcoins are strings of 0's and 1's that watery bags of meat seem to think are worth something.

Anything represented digitally can be a string of 0's and 1's. Those 0's and 1's are part of how we are communicating at this moment!

Many people are interested in getting some of the Physical Litecoins myself included. Smoothie announced they should be available within the next week or two.

There are no functional Scrypt ASICS that I'm currently aware of. There are some groups working on Scrypt FPGA mining hardware. You can find more info about this and more on reddit at /r/truelitecoin

For mining Bitcoins I would recommend ASIC hardware. You return for investment will be a minimum of one year and will take longer as the difficulty increases.

Wow thank you both, now it's clearer Smiley Do you trade/mine litecoins? What do you use them for?

Check out the Litecoin service directories to see how you can spend your Litecoin.

Nobody knows what the price will be in the future. It could be $0 or it could be $10000 or more. My opinion is the price will increase over time.

Get some satoshis from a Bitcoin faucet or from a site that gives away Bitcoins. Play around with the satoshis and make sure you understand how to send and receive transactions. Learn the proper methods to secure your wallet.
32  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: strange behavior running cgminer with scrypt and two different GPUs on: July 04, 2013, 06:05:17 AM
You are using two different video cards so you will have to specify the device settings for each GPU separately. Look into the -d flag.

If I were you, I would run two different instances of cgminer. One for each card.

It would be safer to purchase large amounts from an online exchange. Try vircurex.com or wait for btcto.com
35  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Fluctuation of the Bitcoin Price on: July 04, 2013, 05:57:29 AM
We are still in the early stage of Cryptocurrencies. Give it time and you will see the price stabilize.

LTC is a weak coin? Why is it not good? Huh

LTC is the strongest Alt Coin, but maybe I'm biased.
37  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which gives the best indication of bitcoin's current trading price? on: July 04, 2013, 05:53:17 AM
There isn't a universal market price. Bitcoin prices change depending on which exchange you are using.
