maybe the devs have some coins trapped on cryptsy and they aren't bothering until they get their coins back?

yes I could use it, however I wanted to work with visual studio, since its easier for me, I don't know much about linux.

I don't need an optimized version just wanted to look at the code, see how it works, see if I could improve it  etc.. for fun Grin

Thanks nonetheless

A recent post would suggest the CPU mining days are over. Could just be FUD.

I'll look into merging it with cpuminer-opt.

Edit: follow me here...

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1326803.msg13542056#msg13542056

they were talking about primecoin  wich is only gpu since more than a year ago, riecoin is still only cpu for now.

also the miner I posted before, from gatra, is not the most new or optimized but since it was a fork from cpuminer I thought it would be easier to add it to this miner, just like copy pasting Wink

the latest miner for riecoin is here https://github.com/dave-andersen/fastrie , one of the pool owners optimized this miner for the intel cpus but he have it closed source for now.

Hello Epsylon3, do you think you could add the riecoin algo?

this is the official miner (cpuminer-rminerd) : https://github.com/gatra/cpuminer-rminerd

Thanks

Forgive me for barging in to Epsylon3's thread, but can you tell me more about his algo? What coins use it
and are they in any pools?

I might have a look at it.
Hi joblo, this algorithm is only used on riecoin, this is the official thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=446703.4380
its a good coin for cpu mining, and there are currently 2  pools, you can check them in the official thread.

Regards.

27  Economy / Speculation / Re: All alts going crazy, people are fed up!!!! on: January 27, 2016, 02:33:34 PM
yes, in my case I changed like 2/3 of my BTC stack and bought LTC.

I thought that having LTC now is better than sitting in bitcoins, since is the only alt that didn't raise its price so much yet  Wink
28  Economy / Speculation / Re: No trade too small (6 BTC) for 'them' to come after. on: January 24, 2016, 11:06:28 PM
who needs leverage when there is cryptos!

seriously, aren't cryptocurrencies volatile enough to satisfy the most degenerate of gamblers? Huh

Why are we back above 400? Has the Toominista Rebellion really been defeated?

Appears to be china news or stock market getting slammed due to uncertainty and a small amount of capital flight... when consensus is reached or other competing implementations give up I expect a much higher bump.

Yep once we get consensus - either a fork higher or Core fold and increase the maximum blocksize to arrest complete loss of support from the entire ecosystem - the relief rally (conveniently timed as a pre-halving surge) could be epic.

Wow, can you smell the bitcoins at $3K!  Cool

is it possible to solo mine using fastrie miner, https://github.com/gatra/fastrie/tree/stratum/xptMiner   ?, if it is how do you aim it at your wallet, etc. , thanks.

It is to expect that Cryptsy dont come on line again and that everybody is scammed by BigVern, just like MTGoX, MintPal and other exchanges.
At least it looks like that way becous of the radio silence at cryptsy and BigVern. If you have coins at Cryptsy, like me (2BTC + 138K UTC), keep in mind you and i lost them (almost for shore).

you should try to withdraw with other coins for example buy some LTC, or DOGE, or DASH  and  withdraw a small amount <20LTC at the time.

I had aprox 1BTC on cryptsy 2 weeks ago and I managed to exit through that strategy, they will more likely not pay you on BTCs but they may have some surplus of other coins, good luck.

With  Cryptsy going down, UTC is on risk of being delisted of the last exchange bittrex :

Quote
This market is in danger of de-listing due to low trade volume and lack of user interest. It may be removed on December 4th unless the average daily trade volume for the last 7 days exceeds 0.2 BTC.

so the future doesnt look very good for utc...

Is there a problem with cryptsy withdrawls ?
I was wonder why there is a low volume for Dash and logged in to withdraw my last 0.9 BTC i had there - Nothing happens since hours, Status = pending
To long away, am i finally MTGoxed ?

EDIT: Just saw this -> http://siliconangle.com/blog/2015/10/19/bitcoin-exchange-cryptsy-may-have-gone-full-mt-gox-refuses-to-pay-out-customers/

Yes there on cryptsy  is problems with withdravals to all people, I m happy -couple weeks ago go out of there... Wink

Anybody had a successfull withdraw over the last days ?

probably is not posible to withdraw BTC ,but some coins like dash, ltc, doge, pays fast, usually within minutes for small amounts +- 25 DASH etc.

considering the supply will be reduced now, because mining pays only 10 utc x block, the price should go up ?
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Ultracoin] [Est. Feb 2014] ~ ASIC Resistant & Ultrafast 6 Second Transactions! on: November 11, 2015, 02:43:57 PM
Yes, I got latest walllet updat v0.7.4.1-g-9-g23ef1a4-beta.
Synced the hole blockchain but the wallet says "catching up", downloaded 1600291 blocks of transaction history. Last received block was generated 12 hour(s) ago.
What is happening?

difficulty is so high right now, that blocks are not been found, check the block stats on this poolhttp://utc14.yacoin.club/index.php?page=statistics&action=blocks

without new blocks, there's nothing to sync!

no more blocks been found ?, there's more work to do it seems...

any thought about the current /BTC rate?

What the hell is happening?

Devs bailing out or what? It's too heavy for a simple trading manouver, too many coins dumped in the markets.. Not looking good for sure.

my guess is that some whales are dumping, so the scared little fishes will sell their coins for very cheap,  before UTC goes up  Wink

5.20% interest per year if you:

1. Have UTC in wallet
2. Don't spend it during that year
3. Have wallet online all year
4. Have wallet unlocked for minting, do this like so:
    .......

I think the proof-of-stake in this coin is not good, you need to keep your coins for a year in the wallet? Cool
also have the wallet connected al year, what if you loose your internet conection? do you need to start counting a year again?

maybe the developers could improve that part of the coin, make the proof-of-stake pay every week?
