21  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: To Deal with Resistance and Support on: September 21, 2023, 09:58:43 PM
I would surely like to add one more thing here and that is volumes along these critical pivot points. If you add in the volumes data around these price points you can get greater affirmation as to which Support or resistance is really strong and which really is a weaker one. Accordingly you know how many times price may bounce on this. Also if moving average confluence on the same point as support or resistance that can also give greater confidence on this.
22  Local / India / Re: India or Bharat on: September 21, 2023, 09:55:36 PM
^^ Justin Trudeau is taking a fair amount of limelight and bites in the media circle. Trads are having a field day over this tho.

I might have missed something but so far no fireworks in this session. Faltu mein hype create ho gayi ya Bc fhutiya bana rahi hai yeh gormint.

Haha seriously man. I don't think such a series of actions were necessary from both the sides. Especially the Visa suspension, it's too much. Because I don't think Canada might have been affected that much by this sanction from India but if Canada replicates(of which there is a very less probability) there might be a big repercussion of that on all the Indian citizens living there on Work permits. But obviously that's the part or you could say these people are ally of a major vote bank for Trudeau so might not happen at all. Also I feel this is the first big blow on Indian Diplomacy since Modi has taken the chair, a blow that they are not able to extinguish easily by suppressing it.
23  Economy / Economics / Re: You can't meet all your needs/desires at once, even if you spend all your salary on: September 21, 2023, 09:51:32 PM
This is a very good point. I was just talking to one of my friend about it a few days back as well. There is no end to human desires, even in terms of the salary also the desire will only increase after you have reached a certain milestone. But the fact is that after a certain point more money doesn't increase your hapiness by a big factor. It's probably because of the diminishing marginal utility law coming in picture. So better is to work for your passion and do something that you really enjoy because there is no end to the process of keeping working just for the sake of money.
24  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will reach all-time-high before halving. - BitQuant on: September 17, 2023, 05:47:23 PM
No, #Bitcoin is not going to top before the halving.
Yes, it's going to reach a new all-time high before the halving.
No, #BTC is not going to $160K because the magnitude of every pullback is large. This means it will peak after the halving, in 2024. And yes, the target price is around $250K.

What BitQuant is saying is that before the next halving, bitcoin will reach all-time-high but it will not be the all-time-high before a massive bear market will begin again. That bitcoin will later still increase up to $250000 after halving, which would be the all-time-high.

I know some of you people will agree that bitcoin may reach $250000. What about bitcoin to reach all-time-high before halving? As for me, I do not think so and the all-time-high I am predicting is $170000.
How can you make a complete Elliott wave combination without even telling that we are into the first wave? I could make a similar Elliot wave downward as well but will it make any sense? You atleast have to give the previous ABC formation of the previous wave to make sure you have the next formation in making. So this is very wierd honestly. But let's see what happens.
25  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does monitor size affect trading? on: September 17, 2023, 05:39:13 PM
Is it just for aesthetics? or does trading on a big screen have an effect on the outcome of your trade. I often see that professional traders have created a work space for themselves where they invest heavily into hardware and big monitor screens. So I wonder if trading on bigger monitor screen has a better effect on trading because I think that with the big screens a trader will be able to make better analysis. Is this my opinion correct or is there no special effect that trading on big screen has?
It's not for aesthetics for sure. But yes as a person who is starting his trading you don't really need to necessarily have all this into your system. A new trader can easily start with it. It does makes your trading a bit easier, infact if you scalp then it could make your trading a lot easier but at the end you have to trade using your brain and that can be done only by your skills not the skills of your system or monitors.
26  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Does power really corrupt? on: September 17, 2023, 05:34:12 PM
Power is said to be the ability to control the action of other people around you.when can change the decision of other people using force or negotiations you are are said to powerful.some types of power include,

Physical power (the rock)
Political power (Joe Biden)
Economic power ( Alinko Dangote)
Expert power (Lionel Messi)
Referent power(Nelson Mandela)
Coercive power(Saddam Hussein) etc

Political power is said to be the ability to control people in a country without problem.but too much political power bring about dictators.

There is a popular saying that power corrupt, but absolute power corrupt absolutely.
By power they generally always means the power to affect other people's lives or make decisions which could affect other people lives. this mostly comes with the political powers because you would generally not care for the lives of people who might get affected with your decisions after some time. This is what people means you get corrupt with power.
27  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: September 17, 2023, 05:24:38 PM
Overall it was an incredibly dull day for cricket.

We had one final and one series decider but both the fixtures turned into one-sided affairs. Not sure if India would take (except cup) any lessons from this match, Siraj taking 6fer was the only highlight. South Africa on the other hand would take this series win delightfully, considering they lost the first 2 matches and came back strongly.

All these matches are turning out to be fine warm-up matches before the WC and everyone is trying new combinations and testing their bench strength. From next week we'll have another set of warm up bilateral series between Ind vs Aus, Ban vs NZ and Eng vs Ire. Let's hope no injuries for the main players. We are already seeing a fair amount of injuries in every team.

From India's pov, i'd prefer testing bench strength and surely rest Bumrah, Rohit, Kohli, Hardik, and Siraj for at least 1 match.
Even though we didn't saw a very competitive match of cricket today but I still am impressed with how Indian bowling attach performed. Usually we go to world cups with our batting strength but this time it's our bowling strength which looks amazing. Indian pitches are going to provide much less help for pacers but even then if these guys can move the ball like this it's really going to be hard to beat India.

INDIA Vs SRI LANKA

IND @1.27
SRILANKA @3.45

This year's Asia Cup 2023 will end with the final between India and Sri Lanka on September 17. With a lot of desire and excitement, Sri Lanka is facing the favorite India in the Asia Cup this time. Although the betting odds of various betting sites suggest that India is much ahead of Sri Lanka but I have seen a lot of drama in this Asia Cup due to rain so if it doesn't rain then today's final will be very exciting. Both the teams have enough spinners so it is not possible to say in advance which team will perform better.
Indian team is obviously the top favourite as the match is on Colombo pitch once again. I would have still doubted if it would have been on the difficult to bat Kandy pitch but Colombo is pretty much home to the Indian batters now. If India bat first and put a 300 on the board it'll be almost impossible to chase it in the second innings in a final, I think this is what even India would be rooting for.
29  Local / India / Re: UPI ATM! Another achivement in Fintech by India on: September 16, 2023, 08:59:10 PM
I don't think Axis bank are charging any UPI transactions. I am using Axis and haven't seen any UPI charges.
If your account is salary account, there will not be any fees but for savings account there is, and they bury it under Folio Charge, so mostly we won't see it until we notice it. I can't find the folio charge in most of the banks but I found on KVB fee structure also confirmed with my bank manager.

The total number of debit transactions permitted in all such accounts put together will be limited to 90 per half-year. When number of transactions is more than the maximum stipulated, a service charge of Rs. 2.25/- (inclusive of GST) will be levied for each transaction in excess of 90 transactions.

Account Related Charges | Service Charges and Fees | KVB

So every UPI payment will be considered as debit and different bank has different limits which varies, that is why it is important to mix up bank accounts while using savings accounts for all our UPI TXs.

This is very wierd I really didn't know about this change and that it has already been implemented. The amount per tx is so small that they'll go unnoticed unless you check your statement. Also 90 transactions in half an year are pretty less to be honest.

Isn't KVB a government undertaking bank? I wasn't able to find any information regarding it. Considering KVB applying those charges which are hidden. Imagine what hidden charges are charged by banks like ICICI, Kotak and other private sector bank. I once had a saving account with HSBC they were notorious in charging customer. For everything you do on your savings account they would have some changes or the other after a certain limit. I cancelled my account and moved to SBI, till date they have not charged me anything stupid. After your revelation about hidden transaction charge I would be contacting the Branch manager about it.
No KVB is a private sector bank big local reach in Tamil Nadu but it's not that capitalised as IDFC or other private sector ones. So the charges are pretty normal.
30  Local / India / Re: Indian crypto exchanges under regulations of RBI on: September 16, 2023, 08:51:10 PM
when I was reading an article from cointelegraph : India working on 5-point crypto legislation as ban is ruled out

Indian crypto platforms could attain similar status as authorized dealers (similar to banks) under the guidelines of the Indian central bank, RBI.

Talking about the five-point framework, Sogani noted that the government is focusing on:

1.Setting up advanced Know Your Customer (KYC) for crypto companies, which covers the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act and existing Anti-Money Laundering standards.

2.Crypto platforms would be required to release proof-of-reserve audits on a real-time basis to regulators.

3.A uniform taxation policy across the nations.

4.Crypto exchanges could gain the same status as authorized dealers (similar to banks) under the guidelines of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

5.Key positions may be mandatory, such as Money Laundering Reporting Officer for crypto platforms.
Sogani noted that the world has realized that banning crypto is futile and that several nations are moving toward a regulatory approach rather than a blanket ban.

Just another speculation post G20 summit, but it seems something positive cause its more visible that the ban is ruled out so governments are now trying to adapt to the policies that will regulate the crypto assets further rather than just vague 30% capital gains and especially exchanges will attain the status similar to banks caught me.

Until and unless RBI curbs the heck out of the freedom from these exchanges I see this as a very welcoming move. Not only because we are in situation of no laws yet full tax but also because this would give a big certainty to a lot of people that bitcoin is not illegal atleast whatever we guys are doing is absolutely legal comes under the ambit of RBI. but yes practically I don't know how stringently will RBI act with these exchanges.
31  Economy / Economics / Re: If the global economy collapses what's the first thing you do? on: September 16, 2023, 08:48:29 PM
Honestly if you have BTC congrats !!! We are heading  into a major economic shift and I feel like when the tides are turning like this there should be a conscious effort to land on the right side of that shift!!! Am I right? What should bitcoiners be doing right now to prepare for a potential global economic hardship other than the obvious which is to hodl and accumulate as much as you can...
First of all what do you mean by collapse? Have you ever in the history seen the complete global economy collapse? Why do you expect it would happen now? Also if it would happen how do you really say that bitcoin will not be affected by that? Eventually the money that get's pumped in the bitcoin is also part of the global economy itself. So I don't think building these hypothetical scenarios is anywhere nice.
32  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are Technical Indicators useless? on: September 15, 2023, 09:09:48 PM
Hi everyone.

I've examined indicators for very long time. Especially if you are trading often, they would increase your winning possibilities.

While some months i've learned how to code Pine Script on Tradingview and backtest with it. But i can't get good results even if many combination of indicators.  Undecided  When i look at past data manually, it works smoothly but this data retrospective and indicators can't drawn in future.

I wonder is there anyone who succeed on trading with indicator/combination of indicator/special strategy.

I'm open to discuss all ideas.
Individually and apparently yes. They are wasted when used in solace but if you can combine the relevant indicators into a trading system or strategy then obviously it can be a game changer. But yes obviously very few people can actually make it profitable.

Finally India have lost to Bangladesh. Soon we can see nagin dance performance from the Bangladesh players. India had the winning chance till the 48th over. Once the wicket of Axar Patel and Shardul Thakur fell, the winning probability diminished. Though this match result doesn't gonna make any changes to the tournament finals, the win gives Bangladesh the positivity.
We got a chance to enjoy a very competitive match. This is the first time since 2012 that the Bangladesh team has won against India in the Asia Cup. This is indeed a big achievement for Bangladesh. Although India have already qualified for the finals.

I would like to thank Bangladesh's middle order for Bangladesh's win in this match. Shakib, Hridoy and Nasum batted very well. But I expected better performances from Anamul and Litton.
Tanzim sakib is the new pace bowler of Bangladesh squad. This youngster has bowled brilliantly even against a big team like India. Also the bowling of Shakib, Nasum and Mahedi was quite controlled. I am very happy with the overall performance of the Bangladesh team. But their players cannot maintain consistency. This is their biggest weakness.
I would call it an upset when Bangladesh defeated the Asia Cup finalist, India.

From Bangladesh's point of view, although they could not make it to the finals but at least they end the tournament on a good note. Beating India is a big achievement for the Bangladesh boys.

India team did not bat well in this match, If Shubman Gill  was not able to make 121 runs, i guess the Indian team would have all out within 150 runs.

The pitch was understandably spin friendly. Bangladesh team has done their squad selection well in this match. The pace bowlers also bowled quite well. Expectations from India's batsmen, however, were higher. But they cannot play well. Even against Sri Lanka we have not seen good batting from Indian players.

The Bangladesh team was in good form before the Asia Cup. I thought the team would play in the final of the Asia Cup. But we have not seen a better performance from this team in the Asia Cup. Their performance was erratic. Still played very well against Afghanistan and India. Their confidence increased. We hope that the Bangladesh team will challenge the big teams of the World Cup. Bangladesh team proved that Bangladesh team is capable of performing well against any team.
I know if it's me or it really does sound wierd, but if India wins the world cup now won't it be so wierd? Losing to the worst team of the super 4s and then calling yourself the best Asian team would be a bit wierd right? But yes as I told at the very beginning of the Asia Cup Bangladesh does has the capability to do this a lot of times.
34  Local / India / Re: Wipro, SAP to develop blockchain use cases for utilities industry on: September 15, 2023, 07:20:04 PM
We all knew right that blockchain technology will be used in the future for sure. But the problem is even if the technology blooms there is no guarantee that there will be a crypto currency book along with that. I am saying this because you know how the trend has been since so many years now.
35  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you had AI day trade bitcoin to make profits on: September 15, 2023, 05:57:04 PM
How would one do so efficiently? I am very interested.
I didn't get your question but yes if AI comes to this arena as well then the competition of markets will eventually come to the best tech Instead of having the best trading skills or economic skills, which is really sad. Just like F1 most of the companies will race upto getting the best hardware and software in order to make the AI as intelligent as possible and mint as much money as possible.
36  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: September 14, 2023, 05:55:51 PM
Given the target given by Pakistan in 42 overs to Sri Lanka, Pakistan can win this match if their bowlers can bowl well.
Yeah. Pakistan definitely have the advantage here, but it won't be easy for them since Sri Lanka is playing well at the moment. A single wicket fell unluckily implying that their bowlers need to ball better.

Samarawickrama and Wellalage are the key players to target if you ask me since they are in great form recently.
Pakistan has managed to set a strong total, even though they lost wickets regularly. Now, it's up to Pakistan's bowling to determine the outcome of the Asia Cup, but at the moment Sri Lanka is in a strong position. They just continue batting steadily without losing wickets. There's a good chance Sri Lanka can reach this target, but things can change quickly in cricket.
Where the match is right now it looks like a walk in the garden for Sri Lanka team to win it. Required rate is 6 and they have 8 wickets in hand. Best is they start to accelerate now itself on atleast run a ball if they lose wickets the incoming batsmen will still get some time to get settled on the pitch, otherwise if someone will have to start hitting immediately it could become a mess.
37  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Honest question, what to think about “crypto” affiliates or influencers? on: September 14, 2023, 05:53:44 PM
Just wondering for the sake of it, if crypto trading was so profitable for so many influencers and YouTubers, why would they care so much about affiliate money…? Why take the trouble of creating, editing and uploading so many videos? Does this mean that if you see any YouTuber or crypto “celebrity” pumping a product or trying to make a buck out of content, that you should run away from them? ‘Cos why take so much trouble if you are already making money with your trading? Of course not everyone is a trader, but…
Crypto trading is profitable for a very few. But the people who sell their courses and youtube and etc. It's rarely profitable for them infact most of them end in losses in trading and make most of the money by giving Ted talks to non-traders. This is why I clearly say never to trade immediately after listening to these YouTube Gurus go through the complete process yourself first and only then do any actions.
38  Economy / Economics / Re: Was just watching the big short. Why do the times suddenly feel similar? on: September 14, 2023, 05:51:27 PM
Just watching that movie gave me such chills, my family and I lost our house we lost everything in 2008 when the housing market crashed. Honestly after living through it in the worst way you can see how I would be such an advocate for bitcoin. Many other folks didn't have to go though that, and so they don't quite understand. I couldn't hell but think how strangely similar the feeling back then how it almost feels like the same type of conditions for things to happen. I said it the other day whilst playing golf to my m8 that something big was brewing, I could just feel it. Could we be on the verge of some crazy market crashes like in 2008?
I think everyone is having these sort of thoughts that something is brewing around and something crazy might happen but trust me the craziest things happen when the markets are quite calm and infact going up with a positive sentiment because it's at that time that you can take up a lot of people in your traps while they might be thinking that market will go up from here.
39  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Opinion Piece. Please share your Opinion on Crypto trading Questions on: September 10, 2023, 08:37:50 PM
1. Who is a crypto trader?
Ans: anyone who regularly buys and sells crypto for speculative purposes is a trader.

2. Do you only trade Bitcoin or you trade Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies?
Ans: I trade almost all the major Cryptos and even some mid cap Cryptos as well but only sometimes.

3. How many trading strategies do you use and which is your favorite?
Ans: I used a complete trading system, in which I buy when my system which is a set of price action, indicators and volume data triggers a buy/ sell call

4. As a crypto trader, do you focus on technical analysis only, fundamental analysis only or you rely on a combination of both to informed trading decisions?
Ans: I think fundamental analysis in crypto is a greatly flawed until now. It's only news and events which are beneficial because products can be very good on paper but look rubbish when implemented. Quantitative data is better.

5. As a crypto trader what is your favorite crypto exchange you use for trading?
Ans: Binance

6. Are there other ways you trade crypto without using an exchange ?
Ans: yes obviously p2p basis but obviously it's not that fast so can't be used for trading and also not for people who like to regularly do trading.

40  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: September 10, 2023, 04:42:34 PM
India really are in good position at the moment. Indian openers have done what was required by giving a 100 runs stand. There is reserve day for this match also, which means this game will very likely to be completed. Rain today is blessing for Pakistan as Indians aiming to score somewhere around 300.

I do not see any reason to say it's a blessing for Pakistan, as the match will continue tomorrow from the same position. India will start batting 24.1 overs, and the match will start at 15:00 GMT. BTW, ACC did not gave anyone the reserve day for the super matches except for India-Pakistan match. What is the reason behind that? Business? Of course Business matters!

When it comes to a controlling board, they cannot do this injustice to other teams. There was no reserve days for other matches except for the final match. No board speaking about it. Bangladesh coach Hathu said it's not fair.
Nowadays everything becomes business and India vs Pakistan is big rivalry and the same is being marketed in all possible ways. Already a match missed and considering the same reserve day is allocated for today's match. If India had agreed to play on Pakistan, this problem couldn't have come. PCB might've got good income and the audience might've not suffered. Atleast then onwards while organising big tournaments, the organising committee should take prior analysis about the weather forecast. Already the weather condition might've been known and why they choose Sri Lanka.
The second match between India vs Pakistan was abandoned today due to rain. A reserve day was kept for the match between India and Pakistan in view of rain, since there was a reserve day arrangement, the match will resume on the next day from where it ended today from 24.1 overs tomorrow. India got off to a great start against Pakistan today. The opening pair batted brilliantly and after they got out, Virat Kohli and Lokesh Rahul took the lead. So far India is in a good position. Had it been a complete game today, India would have scored around 350 runs against Pakistan. Hopefully both India and Pakistan teams will start well tomorrow and we hope that the match will not be abandoned due to rain tomorrow.
This is really very frustrating, to be honest, When you know the whole weather forecast of the country shows rainy for a specific time, how can you schedule such an important trophy in that country at that particular time? If you see the stadium today it was almost at 40% occupancy, which is very frustrating for an India vs Pakistan match. You'll find these tickets going for black at exorbitant prices. I don't know how big of a loss is this for the organizers as well. People are saying this is only because BCCI was so adament on organizing it in Sri Lanka.
