21  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Usb block erupter discount coupons for sale (0.3 Btc/pc) on: July 31, 2013, 10:40:52 PM

By my math, your coupons (at 0.3btc) afford me a 0.0655 discount on what I can pay cash for from someone who has a reputation.

I can buy 10 from Canary for BTC0.50 each

Am I figuring this wrong?

Im not sure how you figured out number "0,0655" but ... my one coupon = 1 Usb miner, that means 1 usb miner for 0.3 Btc

And yes you can buy from someone who has reputaion...your choice ....

Yes I do, PM for more details
23  Economy / Computer hardware / Usb block erupter discount coupons for sale (0.3 Btc/pc) on: July 30, 2013, 01:38:36 PM
Hello all,

I bought lot of usb miners from btcguild when they were 1.05 Btc and I received message with discount coupons

"USB Block Erupter Price Cut and Coupons
Since all other outlets are announcing this even though it was not supposed to happen until August 1, yes, USB Block Erupters are having a price cut!

USB Block Erupters are now on sale at 0.60 BTC per device (free shipping to US). A huge number of units are en route, which will clear the backorder, and leave roughly 1,000 units available for next day shipping by August 1.

If you ordered an Erupter at 1 BTC, all is not lost yet. A coupon program is being initiated by ASICMINER and distributed by BTC Guild. 30% of the units sold at 1 BTC will be eligible to purchase a 2nd unit for 0.10 BTC (+0.05 Shipping/Handling). The exact method of coupon distribution will be announced when coupon units arrive, which should be around August 5th.

If you have a backordered 1.05 BTC unit, you are GUARANTEED to receive the coupon(s) for additional unit(s) at 0.15 BTC."

But I dont want to buy another miners, so I am wondering if someone here is interested in thouse "coupons" ... I would sell one coupon for 0.3 Btc.

Feel free to ask

I dont find that list of hubs useful ... there is plenty of cheaper hubs on ebay, .... maybe they can break down but ... everything is made in china

There are some 300 Mhash USB miners kicking around but the cost is far more than you will ever be able to mine with them unless you get free power.  If you bought a Jalapeno today , I believe it would still pay for itself (provided it ever shipped  Huh).

sorry man but usb miner has 0.3 Ghash and 2 watss
jalapeno has 5 Ghash and 55 watts

so jalapeno has lower Ghas per 1 watt ...

What ways are there to earn Bitcoins that are not mining or buying them ?  Guess what I'm asking is are there jobs that pay in Bitcoin ?
Y'know earning the good old fashioned way, honorable, away from the games of speculation and all the sordidness that comes with that.
If people had ways to earn Bitcoin other than using a country's currency than maybe these so-called powers couldn't manipulate their laws to accuse bitcoiners of whatever they think up;  laundering, etc.

One way is from free faucets. http://coinfaucets.tk has a lot of them and rotates them/keeps up with their timers for you. Just bookmark it and run through them as they come off cooldown, Smiley.

Everything has its pros and cons

If we move from fiat money to crypto money, we wont be slaves of politicians but slaves of hackers... so bitcoin is not holy-grail its just alternative
29  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: USB mining profitable at new price of .45 to .55 BTC? on: July 28, 2013, 03:10:17 PM
calc http://www.dustcoin.com/

with 300 Mh/s you will get 0.147 in a month.
So you will need to wait for 5 months to get your investment back after that you can mine terra/ppcoin etc

And you have to keep in mind difficulty increasement during that 5 (or more) months

those charts nicely calculates profitability and investment period

my opinion is with 0.15 usd/kwatt electricity price ... usb erupter for 0.6 Btc will re-pay itself in 7 months since today.

(Btc price cant fall, eurpter has to run 24/7 Sad, your laptop, pc cant burn down..etc)
