21  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 20, 2013, 02:58:13 AM
Something someone posted earlier made me think, but I'm not sure, so I'll put it to you guys.

Why would labcoin suggest for people to buy shares low? It honestly should make no difference to them what the price of their stock is, as they've already IPO'd and gotten their money. Only investors would really have an incentive to build up or knock down the price.

Labcoin should be focused on their business, not what the market is doing.

They own a large percentage of shares, so share price is significant to them.

Smart move making the announcements section separate, and starting a new thread will help make things clear. I couldn't read that abortion of a thread any longer.

What brought you to Cyprus?
24  Economy / Securities / Re: [IPVO] [Multiple Exchanges] Neo & Bee - The Bitcoin Bank (Cyprus) - LMB Holdings on: September 19, 2013, 06:44:15 PM
How do you plan abiding to the maximum of 5000€ overseas transactions AND permit bitcoin withdrawals? Won't someone be able to deposit 100000€ and then send the bitcoins wherever he wants? More generally, how will the goverment be okay with you offering such a simple entry-point for bitcoin's pseudo-anonymous features?

The fact that most people won't do bitcoin direct transactions, since they aren't tech-savvy enough, is certainly true but isn't a solution to the problem IMHO - the goverment won't like for this loophole to be there.

Because to operate any account they will be subjected to AML/KYC and all reporting procedures that "everyone" is subjected too.

€5000 from existing Cypriot Monetary Financial Institutions overseas is currently implemented, until the Troika meeting in September when it shall be reviewed. The paper money we accept won't leave Cyprus, the 1's and 0's representing those Euro notes are accounted for elsewhere in the world (Currently subject of an NDA so apologies that I cannot provide more specific details). By design we have zero exposure to the existing Banking infrastructure here in Cyprus.

Irregardless of the above points http://www.ft.com/intl/cms/s/0/4cd86244-2039-11e3-b8c6-00144feab7de.html#axzz2fMgzKJN9

Really what will happen if it sells out is that people will just place bids higher than those currently placed, moving their previous bids from .003 to a higher price.

Then you get into a bidding war that is extremely detrimental to shareholders but very lucrative for NEOBEE.

Yo deprived eagles -3 over the chiefs good bet or bad bet

Baddd Bet. KC's got a Defense and a competent QB. I wouldn't feel comfortable on that game at all. The Eagles just LOST by 3 at home to the *Chargers*

Rant on NEOBEE!

Going to have to decline on that as ranting about them could cost me money.  Ask for the rant in a week's time and I'll deliver.

That's all I needed to hear.

Just got a confirmation email for the pre-IPVO

Your redemption exchange request for XBOND to NEOBEE is confirmed as submitted.

Your shares will be provided to you on September 23, 2013.

Thank you!

Just wondering will I get any kind of legal document that states that I am a stock holder of NeoBee?

I know that I will have to "lock" my shares somehow outside the stock exchanges
(so I won't be able to sell them and still claim they are mine)

but is it possible?
I am considering this a long term investment

Thank you

The "legality" of these stock exchanges is yet to be determined.

I understand the "legality" of the stock exchanges is yet to be determined.
but I am interested in the "legality" of my stocks

Sorry I should have clarified. The entire process, including purchasing, owning, and selling, is yet to be determined. These are unregistered, unregulated stocks. There is no way to receive a legal document verifying your stock purchases.

32  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 18, 2013, 07:55:33 PM
UPDATE:

Just got off talking to Sam. The miners are running and the team is working on the pool mining integration, this should all be done in 'a few hours' (less then 12, more likely less then that but I have advised against setting a specific hour/time as this just leads to frustration if missed) and users will be able to view the mined coins through pool and this address:

https://blockchain.info/address/17psAW21J4twanAFWmbcd5WdX2pKeX3trm

I have asked Sam to sign the address so that it can be proven without a doubt that Labcoin is indeed the entity mining.

According to Sam the initial hash rate will be 'a few' TH and will be scaled up in the coming days as more miners come online.

TLDR; Pool mining is being integrated and will be running in the next few hours (less than 12). Address provided above will be used for mining and will be signed as proof. Initial mining will be 'a few' TH and scaled up in the coming days.

Do we have an end date for the IPO?
34  Economy / Securities / Re: [IPVO] [Multiple Exchanges] Neo & Bee - The Bitcoin Bank (Cyprus) - LMB Holdings on: September 18, 2013, 02:34:03 PM
Are there early bids in the other markets?

Yes. BTC-TC has around 230K, not sure about Havelock.

Only 5K on Havelock. Although I like the ambition and the attempt to provide options, it seems like it may have been more effective to just stick with one exchange. Not enough homogeneity between the exchanges in volume and usability yet.

So is placing early bids on BitFunder orderbook still in the works or is that not going to happen?
36  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] Virtual Community Exchange w/ Options, DRIP, 2FA, API, CSV, etc. on: September 17, 2013, 01:32:05 PM

Any chance exchanges starting to demand regular financial reporting from issuers? Seriously, this will help everyone. (I have asked this several times in last year or so)
I think that "They will choose another exchange" excuse has become irrelevant. Why? Because BTCT has the highest volume and best interface, with all the bells and whistles issuer or investor can ask for.

I think it'd be awesome to do an SEC style requirement that assets upload financials to the site at regular intervals.  (quarterly?)

It's quite a bit of work unfortunately to make sure that uploaded files don't become vectors for virus infections or other attacks.

Absolutely do this, it would bring some much needed transparency
37  Economy / Securities / Re: [IPVO] [Multiple Exchanges] Neo & Bee - The Bitcoin Bank (Cyprus) - LMB Holdings on: September 16, 2013, 09:07:30 PM
Aaaandddd now there's a bid at .003001 on BTCT, so your IPO price is officially above .003 on two of the exchanges, and it's only going to get worse until the IPO launches. You should either cap it at .003 or change the wording of your IPO to reflect the fact that you are not, in fact, offering the price at .003, you're offering it to the highest bidders.

I'm interested to hear a response to this.

There is no new information needed. It is simply the method chosen to make this work, all things considered.

Cash grab. All things considered.

Exactly.

It could operate like an actual IPO, there isn't really a reason it shouldn't (or they haven't made that reason known). But they make more money, faster this way. It's a little dishonest, given the wording of the offer, but what can you do? Ultimately they don't care about being fair or care about the people who are willing to risk money in order to see the company succeed, they just care about the money those people have. And they have every right to be that way.

I'm still buying in, "all things considered", I'm just a little disappointed in these fellows.

I got a feeling that this will turn out into a mess similar to the Labcoin IPO.
People were putting bids 30% higher than the IPO price just to make sure they get in. And that was happening before 10% IPO price bids were filled.

Seriously, it's kind of BS and just asking for trouble in a free market like Bitcoin securities. I get why TAT is doing it, because it incentivizes people to lock in shares pre-IPVO through X-BOND, i.e., guarantees more profits for his own company. I would probably do the same if I was in his shoes, since he is a rationally self-interested person. But Either your IPO is the price you say it is or it isn't. This is not an IPO at .003, this is an auction style IPO, the highest bidders get the shares. By honoring higher prices first that is exactly what they are making this, there is no two-ways about it.
40  Economy / Securities / Re: [IPVO] [Multiple Exchanges] Neo & Bee - The Bitcoin Bank (Cyprus) - LMB Holdings on: September 16, 2013, 08:06:21 PM
So already on Havelock people are placing bids above the value of the IPO. You will be filling the pre-IPO bids that are actually IPO price first, right?
