Chrome app looks great, keep up the good work.

What are our plans for another exchange? While I like stocks.exchange, having only 1 exchange is risky. I have flashbacks to coinsmarkets.com

True that but nowadays, crypto exchanges charge a hefty fees to list a coin. I think we should just wait sometime until project gets stabilized, exchange listing opportunities will automatically come.

I understand that but having a coin that can't be traded can easily kill the project outright. Having 2 exchanges mitigates that scenario, or at least buys us time until the project is further along.

Chrome plug in is top notch. Much more useful than I was expecting honestly, no longer have to have stocks open all day.

25  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reason why bitcoin won't last long (which are you afraid of?) on: June 12, 2018, 03:34:15 AM
The biggest threat to bitcoin is simply the widespread adoption of another block chain.

received a great air drop. thanks to the developers for the cool project

The airdrop worths ~320 USD at the moment and it was over 700 USD at one point, so this was a valuable airdrop, which is very rare. Maybe in a few years we can say that it was one of the best airdrops ever.Smiley

Probably. Few years ago there was Stellar airdrop. I sold it for pennies and regretting it later. Don't wanna do same mistake again with Twist.

An outcome such as Stellar would be a best case scenario. That said, this project is extremely exciting to be a part of. The team has been great about meeting deadlines and the method of distribution I feel will be integral later on. Whether or not it will gain traction ultimately remains to be seen but there is a lot to like about this young project so far.

First CRISP Payment Success!

All, the first CRISP payment was successful! If your DNotes were not moved between blocks 43,200 and now, you will have received 0.5% interest directly from the blockchain.

Great! Was actually just about to ask about this  Cheesy

After today, hard to say otherwise.
29  Other / Meta / Re: Merit system fact on: June 08, 2018, 08:15:57 PM
As it stands, it is currently broken. It is simply too hard to obtain merit despite the quality of your posts, which is difficult in its own right to even get many opportunities because honestly there are very few quality discussions on this forum to begin with. I think if members hadn't been grandfathered in there would be far more outcry than there is.

However, I do think the current system can be improved substantially to give us something more functional. It's current incarnation is unacceptable though, in my opinion.
30  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) on: June 08, 2018, 07:08:21 PM
As far as I have seen nearly every sub-forum on btc talk is a giant spam-fest w/ very little in the way of actual discussion.

Could someone point me to the sub-forums where the grown-ups hang out? Legitimately asking, not being facetious.
    - Read its rules.

Hi dia. Thank you fir the detail. I am at activity 63 but still Jr. Member. What could be the problem?
YOU (not reading the very first part of this thread, before asking the question):

    Ranks

Update on 2/3/18: Merit points are now added
In addition to the activity points, merit points (click for more information) are required to advance your ranking.

thank you, will check it out.

edit: so i went over there, and the quality of discussion is in fact far better but i am not allowed to post there. i presume because my rank is not high enough, which brings us back to the original problem... the merit system is too heavily biased against new members it is too difficult to garner merit. i dont think the merit system should be changed necessarily, but the merit requirements need to come way down.[/list]

good to see this project still plugging along. interested to see how the NBL token will impact the dynamics of this coin.

You can make 500 high quality posts over the course of a year and you might go somewhere on here. This site is a joke now.

You can get 50 smerit with a good post and you can make 0 smerit with 50 low-medium quality posts.
It depends and in my opinion, people here (including me) prefer to give smerit to low ranks rather than the highest one. I remember declining to merit so many good posts because the OP was a legendary...and I am pretty sure many did the same.
You cannot blame the system when most of people here don't care about the forum, nor contribute to the discussions here. They are simply joining bounties and spamming bitcointalk with their plagiarised texts.

As far as the merit system, from my experience thus far is has been flawed since it is so hard to obtain merit, really favors old members who were grandfathered in by default. Perhaps that can be alleviated if someone answers the above question for me. That said I do like the concept of the merit system.
    33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DNotes 2.0 - 4/2/2018 Now Live on: June 07, 2018, 12:44:05 AM
Like the listing on stocks.exchange, I do like that exchange.

However, it may be a lonnngggg time before Dnotes gets listed on CMC again. Currently one needs to meet certain volume thresholds these days to be listed, and Dnotes is nowhere close to those levels at the moment.

Stocks currently has value of Dnotes at 500 sats which is pretty good, more or less where it was prior to delisting from Cryptopia.

guys the explanation is simple... twist has fast block times and stakes quite often so you will have more orphans

I still think nanex is an exchange DNotes should be pursuing getting a listing on, I personally have used it a fair amount and it is a legitimate exchange with a bright future. If it hasn't been looked into yet please give it a serious look. Given the fact DNotes had no ICO, I think Nanex would be very receptive to listing it.

Obviously needs to be in listing in conjunction with other exchanges with btc pairings, but nano is a coin with enormous potential... especially as far as trading it between exchanges as it is near instant and w/ zero fees. I think hitching a cart to part of that wagon is a good move.
