21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Most Promising Altcoins to Invest in 2019 on: June 23, 2019, 07:50:57 PM
It will be never a mistake if a newbie decides to invest in top-10 cryptocurrencies. However, here I will not recommend him to deal with Ripple, as too many coins have been circulating on the market. XRP price can drop.

Ripple is also completely different from all those other coins that are in the top 10 right now.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: June 23, 2019, 07:50:05 PM
I copied this from one reddit post yesterday when someone was calculation how big were transactions last month and compare them with Bitcoins.  Monero transactions take ~ 5.23x more space than Bitcoin transactions    If we take 20% off we get 4.2x    I wonder where is limit. How close to bitcoin will we eventually get.

The thing is Bitcoin has the same sorts of advances on the horizon.  I doubt Monero ever catches up.

What is important is Monero KEEPS up.

In 2017, Monero was one of the best runners. Suppose, this year, it will move faster. I guess Monero can reach 180 dollars for an altcoin at least. It must get its place on the top-10 cryptocurrencies list.

Actually in 2016 Monero was the best runner. If 2019 is new 2015, then 2020 will be Monero 2016 over again.
It is time to concentrate on monero, I think monero will move fast once again this year or on next year. I am trying to collect monero slowly, will try to collect as many as possible.

Who doesn't? Smiley It is one of the best coins out there. Big fan of it ever since I found out about it. Real use case and strong tech.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ethereum drop below $240 again do you believe? on: June 23, 2019, 07:46:30 PM
The more projects get launched on Ethereum, the less likely it is that the price of Ethereum will fall again.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum will become zero value? on: June 23, 2019, 07:44:23 PM
Before Ethereum will ever reach zero value I think every single on of us here on this forum will be dead...
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When will the bull market come? on: June 23, 2019, 07:40:13 PM
sooner or later everything will certainly change. because everything is going through a long process. therefore a good development certainly does require a process and of course it must occur in reality, because basically this reality is very much awaited.
and now we have enjoyed the process. where the growth of bitcoin brings if it is closer to the bull. in this growth there are many assets that grow, and I think that is good because it is not like the previous pump which only happened to bitcoin. this time growth is stronger even though the correction is still happening.

I believe bitcoin will grow the most and keep its dominance over all those other coins out there.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Libra coin over Bitcoin is that possible? on: June 23, 2019, 07:36:35 PM
Libra will be just another altcoin i am sure maybe one of the top, as we understand how much promotion will be done but BTC, is one and only so i am sure people who understand real value of BTC will support it after Libra relise too.

I think they will not just be another alt coin. If you think about it, they have everything in place they need to get their coin adopted, the whole network is ready to use it. That's very different from other alt coins which have to build a network first.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Libra coin over Bitcoin is that possible? on: June 22, 2019, 09:27:19 PM
I think when it comes to adoption of libra vs the adoption of bitcoin, Libra can have the upperhand. But I don't think Libra coin can 100% take over bitcoin since bitcoin has a huge market cap compared to any coin. If ever Libra beat bitcoin, I think that won't happen now or even in the next few years.

Libracoin is an interesting experiment where nobody knows where it will go and we need to see whether it will benefit the whole place.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When will the bull market come? on: June 20, 2019, 07:46:18 PM
I have answered this elsewhere but in my opinion we already have something like a bull run. The price for Bitcoin went from 3k to 9k this year, that is a remarkable result for investors.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LTC: moon or doom? on: June 20, 2019, 07:45:38 PM
This is a difficult one I think. It is still not clear whether LTC is needed if Bitcoin solves all the problems it has. Or do you think otherwise? What if Bitcoin solves all its problems? Is there still a place for LTC?
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: sign of bull run? on: June 20, 2019, 07:39:13 PM
How do you define a bull run? Is a bull run when Bitcoin goes from 3k to 9k? Then we are having a bull run this year. Or is a bull run only when cryptos go 100x? Then we might have to wait another 5 years.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Libra coin over Bitcoin is that possible? on: June 20, 2019, 07:38:26 PM
The Facebook cryptocurrency coin Libra is now the talk in the cryptocurrency market, people says it will take over bitcoin soon.
But to me is that going to be possible, I took bitcoin years to reach were it is now and as the best coin in market and the first cryptocurrency its not that possible.
Lots of coin wit great ambitions have come knocking to take over from bitcoin but non could.
Will Libra be able to do so?
Libra coin popularity come from Facebook be the most popular social media and that is why some crypto enthusiasts are saying that it might takes over the dominant in cryptocurrencies market capitalization from bitcoin! It might be possible but it will take long term and everything also depends if it is unique and people buying into the idea Facebook has. I have been following the current events in cryptocurrencies world and this libra coins will really makes great impact in future and hope it impact bitcoin positively.

Libracoin has nothing to do with Bitcoin. They are totally different and have absolutely zero in common if you ask me. Different value propositions.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MOBU - The Security Token Protocol and Licensed Security Token Exchange on: March 22, 2019, 12:23:40 AM
An interesting article shared from Mobu's Twitter.  Replacing banks may seem like an idea that's far off, but it may be sooner than people think.

https://hackernoon.com/how-crypto-startups-are-changing-finance-right-now-6882574a6ccb

Indeed, blockchain technology will pave the way to the next digital revolution influencing almost all existing industries including finance, commerce, etc and before we knew it, it will become an integral part of our lives.

I am unsure whether banks can be fully replaced and if there is a way to do it, that is not going to happen tomorrow.
I think that in 20-30 years cryptocurrencies will replace fiat money. This is an inevitable process. People less and less believe in paper money.
That's possible to consider about with 10 years progress and crypto have been getting a lot of demand and it's even touched more than 700 billions marketcap last year. Crypto still has a lot of room to grow.
less than 20 years later and we will see a good result or new ATH.

Don't forget the 700 billion is not a reliable figure. It was a bubble and there are rumors that stable currencies have been used to fire up the market.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] MaxiMine (MXM) | Multi-Switching Mining Pool with Ultra Hash Rate on: March 22, 2019, 12:12:37 AM
I can't believe that this was actually one mining ico that wasn't a scam. (Not yet anyway). And it's even rising on the cmc. You are giving hope to us all.

Emphasis must be on not yet anyway. There were so many mining scams and again and again people fell for it. This could be serious, I hope.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN Launch Know Your Developer (KYD) - New days of secure investing are here! on: March 22, 2019, 12:10:55 AM
I just found this project today and it is one of the projects I would like to give some compliments to those who initiated it. My worry is that will people use this at all? If we are accepted and used this site, it would have made it easier in choosing good projects. I think bitcointalk can make it a requirement for all Ann threads to have links to the KYD profiles.

If the team behind this initiative can show that the developers they verify don't become scammers eventually, it would be a service of enormous value.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] | SUQA | New X22i Algo | SWIFFTX | No ICO | No Pre-mine | %5 Apr Interest on: March 21, 2019, 11:55:09 PM
I have been interested in quantum computing for a while and when I came across SUQA and saw it is quantum resistant, I am wondering how can you say that with certainty? Is there a way to prove it once and for all?
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ✅【ANN】【MAINNET PREVIEW】 IoTeX - A Decentralized Network for Internet of Things on: March 21, 2019, 11:45:57 PM
For the internet of things you need an ultra fast consensus mechanism I would guess? If there are all these devices communicating with each other fast broadcasting and network agreement are key is that correct?
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should ICOs be regulated on: March 21, 2019, 11:26:22 PM
I strongly agree that later on ico will indeed be regulated because indeed at this time there must be a change in the ico system which is currently very detrimental, so indeed there must be a change

There will be a change if it keeps going like this and it is beneficial for all of us. If people can't fulfill the requirements to hold a token sale they shouldn't be allowed to do it.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will end the hype of ICO ? on: March 21, 2019, 11:25:18 PM
Investments  in ICOs are a good thing for crypto development. The problem is with scam ICOs and not with the investing in ICOs. We need regulations for that and of course sanctions for the scammers.

I once invested in a company that produced renewable energy. It was not a blockchain business and guess what, they also scammed me and many other investors. Everyone must take care of their own financial affairs and regulators can try to give some guidance and protection. However, in a decentralized world it is very complicated to pass the correct legislation for this problem.
Basically, that idea doesn't make sense at all the only thing that will be related with the crypto and blockchain is a platform that tried to build a new financial ecosystem that used crypto as the system. renewable energy is not related to the blockchain.

I was explaining that scams exist everywhere. They exist with ICO projects and they exist with normal companies. That was what I said. Not sure what you are saying now.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥[ANN] ⭐LEVEL G⭐ Latest Decentralized Financial Technology🔥 on: March 21, 2019, 11:15:32 PM
Decentralization means even more responsibility for every individual, much more responsibility.

Agree with that. This is where the saint and ghost will be seen. Decentralization develops man with honor. People are entitled for the positive freedom. Thanks mate.

It has not so much to do with developing men with honors. You have to take of a lot of things yourself. Your coins, if they get stolen there is no bank you can hold liable.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All about bounty payments and its effect to the project on: March 21, 2019, 11:06:04 PM
I was once an investor had few gains to some ICO/crowdsale but made many losses so I decided to stop participating in ICO instead I do bounties and buy it thru exchanges from bounty hunters dumping it.

I know for a fact that most of you know this situation and are guilty of it,  price tends to tank due to bounty hunters selling their share of tokens for cheap. I think its better to pay hunters in eth or other alts rather than risking the price of their token or coin in that way they could also help their investors and boost confidence to their future and their project. Well for me a falling price is a mark of a failing project "ICO's"
We know that bounty hunters often sell tokens they get from bounties because they don't want to wait too long and we know the first token distribution is for investors and most investors also choose to sell it, when the token reaches the bounty hunters the price is even lower. So, I think there is always a cause for what happened.

Shouldn't everybody have the right to decide what to do with their tokens? Whether you buy the tokens or get them through your work, both should have the same rights.
Both can also decide to work for the tokens.
