21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what are your guides before Investing in an ICO? on: December 14, 2017, 01:30:59 PM
Know what your investing into. Each ICO will have its own philosophy on what there currency is for, and in that respect, some will definitely fail.
Look for good, creative ideas, good speed, and of course look at the developers past projects and look at the team behind it to know if the work will be put in.
This is what i have gotten so far anyways, still new to this really.
22  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in 2018 on: December 14, 2017, 01:02:36 PM
Well I see wider acceptance of altcoins as payment, I think people will get frustrated with bitcoins large transaction fees.
I also think that people will think it is too pricey to enter into, going for a smaller coin.
This is all my opinion though, knowing me, none of this will happen.
23  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are You Discouraged with Bitcoin? on: December 14, 2017, 12:32:11 PM
The opposite for me actually, I am really encouraged with how its doing. The way I see it, any problems with bitcoin with fees or whatever. will mean more money being put into altcoins, thus growing cryptocurrency anyways.
I see it as a long term thing though, as the amount of ICOs should stabilize over the next few years
24  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hi all. Newbie here on: December 14, 2017, 10:39:13 AM
I think it depends on how cryptocurrencies are adopted over the next 2 to 3 years.
I can see a market for smaller, faster transactions rising rapidly as it becomes more ingrained in day to day life of people.
Im also a newb, though, so this is all just conjecture, my own opinion really.
25  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Transaction fee on: December 14, 2017, 10:28:36 AM
Bitcoin transaction fee is very high. Can we transfer BTC by converting    to any ETH or smart contract based coin and then transfer ? is this profitable ?

Yes, this is a well-known strategy which is done by many people. If you need to transfer your BTC from one exchange to another, instead of directly withdrawing BTC you can follow these steps:

1. Trade Bitcoin to another coin which has less fees (for example DOGE) on exchange #1
2. Withdraw DOGE from exchange #1 to exchange #2
3. Trade DOGE to BTC on exchange #2

You can save lots of money using this strategy instead of directly withdrawing Bitcoin.

This is my take on it too. There are currencies which have no fee when converted to them, like dogecoin as you say, this is probably the most efficient way to do it at the moment, unless your dealing with a big chunk of bitcoin, then the hassle might outweigh the fees you pay.

Not sure about gambling with bitcoin, but theres a lot of faucets (you get a few bits every hour or so) on this blog.

he goes through how to set up a wallet for the faucets and you get a slow trickle of bitcoin
Hope this helps!

33  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how do i bitcoin on: December 13, 2017, 02:10:31 PM
In the same boat buddy, am new to all of this too.
Got a lot of information from the beginners forum, and a few youtube vids by Andreas Antonopoulos helped explain what bitcoin is and cryptocurrencies in an easy to understand way.
You also need to look up what kind of wallet you want, one more for security or one that has features you may need, but a standard BTC wallet is probably fine for starting off until you get deeper into it

This is just what i have learned, if I am wrong please correct me..
I wish you luck!

Open to suggestions tho.

Hello there
Im new to this whole thing of bitcoin, I heard about it a few years ago, but was dumb enough not to invest in it.
Well I think the time is now, as I believe cryptocurrencies are a new step forward in banking and investment.
My question is, can you earn a significant amount of bit or bitcoins, from "rolling the dice" in these online bitcoin casinos? Or is the phase over and its more of a marketing thing now?
I know you need a minimum amount of btc to withdraw, is that cap reachable just by rolling the dice?4
Sorry if this is confusing, Im not used to posting on ANY forums, and am still a beginner with Bitcoin transactions.
Hope ye are having a great day.
