I will accept that I am wrong. I downloaded the wallet that was in the OP at launch, and had 13 hits - don't know why. Why do you think someone was asking about a virus free wallet???
I'm not a troll - please check my post history if you doubt that. But leave that suggestion out of any posts until you have checked.
In the beginning of this thread someone explained the false positive could possibly be the built-in miner. Someone else then posted the results of their Virus Total scan of the file and there was no where close to 13 in their results. So when I see a discrepancy in numbers like that it is hard not to get that impression. Although, as you suggested, I looked at your comment history and I agree, you don't come off as a troll, but when someone throws numbers out without any source it will always appear that way to some folks at first glance..

any wallet without virus plz
Almost every wallet will give you a false positive with NOD32. If you search Google with the virus name it will give you plenty of examples of this. Also, it was detected by 1 scanner out of 50. Usually, this would be a good indication of a false positive.. Good luck with that - I've been mining straight to AllCrypt. Not chancing the damn wallet as it gets 13 hits at VirusTotal. I'm sorry, but you're wrong. It got 1 hit on virus total and I stick by my statement above about the false positive. I don't know where you got the 13 from, but you must of downloaded from another source or just trolling. The real results are posted below.. Also, every exchange tells you NOT to mine directly to their addresses.. https://www.virustotal.com/ro/file/2661c4d1d077b5eb833452ca065690c3b9fc92fa435f5901e2e70a754f2e4c0f/analysis/1406745895/

This is a great coin for solo mining!
Sure is, I'm still hitting blocks with a CPU. You could say the same thing about OFF, too:)
|
|
|
whats up with the difficulty today ?
More people are mining it now. The network hash rate is up so it's pushing the difficulty up.
|
|
|
is it still alive ? cpu only ( I mean nobody tried yet with a gpu ) ? There is a link for a GPU miner in the thread. You can mine with CPU or GPU..

interesting coin how was it hiding for so long ? looks like not a scam It may of been that there was a flood of new altcoins coming out at the time. There were many good altcoins that got overlooked because of this.

WOOOHHOOOO
where is dev? any plans or updates?
thanks
The dev is still around working on updates for the wallet and others have been working on some other projects for Chaincoin, too. I'm sure there will be announcements on the thread when there is something to be announced, but in the mean time if anyone besides the trolls would like to throw out some ideas on what kinds of services/games/etc you would like to see for Chaincoin, please post them with your Chaincoin address and I will send you some Chaincoin for your suggestions.. Thanks!

Whoops, my fault. Didn't even check github... Any chance that the miner will support nVidia in the nearest future?
It's still very possible to mine with a CPU.. Although, I did a quick search and it appears Hirocoin has an outstanding bounty for someone to create an nvidia GPU supported miner.. Which could be used to mine Chaincoin, too.. Bounty is unclaimed atm..

blake.cl ain't missing, it's in the /kernel folder - http://puu.sh/9Qqk6/d22a74a3db.pngI'm using a miner combined by michael_phelps. I just wonder, does it even support nVidia mining? According to the github it is just for ATI. It's stated just below the files..

Been trying to mine the coin using nVidia GeForce GTX 650. No go. Any thoughts on using Chaincoin GPU miner with that card? .bat file config: set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100 set GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1 sgminer -k chaincoin -o 127.0.0.1:11995 -u <my user name> -p <my password> -I 12 -g 4 -w 128 SGminer screens: http://puu.sh/9NHdB/3a2a4d8476.pnghttp://puu.sh/9NHft/a21e45839b.pngIt looks like you are missing the blake.cl when you compiled it. Are you using this version? https://github.com/max232l/chain-sgminer/ Edit: Sorry, I realized you may of not compiled it.

Thanks for those nodes OhShBit ! They should be added to the OP in a list with the format "addnode=x.x.x.x:port" so that people can copy/paste it into their chaincoin.conf file. I will take care of typing the list, but I can't edit this thread's OP, so that is up to someone who can moderate/edit this thread addnode=62.202.6.11:49173 addnode=50.135.57.124:52897 addnode=109.205.244.146:57041 addnode=82.138.34.183:56630 addnode=162.243.84.210:11994 addnode=80.143.75.227:51664 addnode=118.123.116.219:59882 addnode=91.199.10.2:11994 addnode=50.197.11.193:60963 addnode=146.185.148.114:38835 addnode=89.177.88.251:38865 addnode=62.210.162.235:11994 Anyways, I really like Chaincoin, and it seems there is a handful of people here in the community who also want to see it survive and thrive. If there is a group for Chaincoin development, PM me - I would like to join the conversation on Skype/IRC/whatever. Also, I have uploaded the Windows binaries for the Chaincoin GPU miner (chaincoin-sgminer) to several places for the good of the community: Windows binaries for the Chaincoin GPU minerMEGA: https://mega.co.nz/#!w0VWkBbZ!PWyCPnCjIuvm6pH8Ljt-hXvllg4npedd0gfwKGXkL-E Dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/s/gjjoslh6kgmta85/Chaincoin%20SGMINER.zipI have included a readme file in the package with helpful information, and I also put example solo and pool mining .bat files in the package to help you get started if needed. Go get yourself some Chaincoins !!! P.S. - Also thinking about helping fund a Chaincoin faucet, game website, and giveaway. Let me know if you want to help make this happen. Cheers You're welcome, Michael. Although, It was miningcrew who provided the nodes. I just asked for them:) I'll see what I can do about updating the ANN with the node list. I don't edit or anything. So far it has just been a few of us PMing each other. There was mention of organizing something in IRC or something, but I'll have to check on it again. I'll PM you here in a bit with some of the ideas that have been tossed around so far. Thanks again!

Nice! If you post a chc addy I'll send you some coin for playing.

this coin needs to be revived.
Tis a fine coin indeed.. So is CHC is going back up when you open the new OpenEx 2.0?

Guess marketcap needs accurate number of total mined coins. But I'll try to send them request, it could happen Thanks You're welcome. It's nice to see optimism on here.

Criteria for a coin to be added to coinmarketcap.com
Must be a cryptocurrency - check
Must be traded on a public exchange that is older than 30 days and with an API available - check (coinmarketcap supports allcrypt now) Must have a public URL that displays the total supply (total mined so far) - ?
Can somebody provide this link? We can get into coinmarketcap easily
Something like this? http://www.cryptocoinsinfo.com/statistic/coinstat.php?coin=10566

is the coin dead?looks like,lol
yup dead as can be no dev or support
I think it's funny how people think they are experts on altcoins. Less than 6 months on the boards and this is the most intelligent thing you two have to say?

Thank you for all of this great information. Although, I have not been able to utilize it fully for the block explorer. I'm stuck with an error during the installation. It calls for some random module when I initially launch abe. I tried to use this howto: https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/1312-luckycoin-blockchain-explorer/I would really like to know how to set these up, but there doesn't seem to be any straight forward instructions on how to accomplish this. At this point I am willing to give a bitcoin bounty if someone could write up a better setup guide for abe. Preferably one that acknowledges all dependencies and addresses any possible contingencies. I haven't given up, but I have a feeling that I won't be able to proceed any further without some type of intervention. At this point, I'm still willing to take any suggestions on how I could fix this. Thanks again for all of your help. /bitcoin-abe# python -m Abe.abe --config abe-chc.conf --commit-bytes 100000 --no-serve Upgrading schema to version: Abe38 Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib/python2.7/runpy.py", line 162, in _run_module_as_main "__main__", fname, loader, pkg_name) File "/usr/lib/python2.7/runpy.py", line 72, in _run_code exec code in run_globals File "/home/jay/bitcoin-abe/Abe/abe.py", line 2093, in <module> sys.exit(main(sys.argv[1:])) File "/home/jay/bitcoin-abe/Abe/abe.py", line 2087, in main store = make_store(args) File "/home/jay/bitcoin-abe/Abe/abe.py", line 156, in make_store store = DataStore.new(args) File "Abe/DataStore.py", line 3275, in new return DataStore(args) File "Abe/DataStore.py", line 195, in __init__ upgrade.upgrade_schema(store) File "Abe/upgrade.py", line 1155, in upgrade_schema run_upgrades(store, upgrades) File "Abe/upgrade.py", line 50, in run_upgrades run_upgrades_locked(store, upgrades) File "Abe/upgrade.py", line 31, in run_upgrades_locked func(store) File "Abe/upgrade.py", line 1015, in populate_multisig_pubkey store.init_chains() File "Abe/DataStore.py", line 483, in init_chains int(chain_decimals)) File "Abe/Chain/__init__.py", line 21, in create mod = __import__(__name__ + '.' + policy, fromlist=[policy]) ImportError: No module named Weeds
