I order two directly from his website a couple days ago. The key is the shipping cost are included in the price. Still waiting for the tracking number. Cheers

tracyhh I'm sorry about your situation but maybe you take a risk that don't fully understand and make an investment you can't afford, I hope BA start soon with the refunds.

I wonder why only a few people use the "pay only 50% in advance" option like I did to try share the risk a little bit

So looking back- In the time wen we place the orders BA looked as a good option. No spondoolies and no antminer s1 out there. I hate the preorders but at that time the option of paying the 50% in advance and the rest when the shipment is ready seems very fair to me. The delays, the bad communication and some (in my opinion) bad decisions disappointed me but hey that's life.

Looking ahead- I hope mass production and shipments start in few days. I hope a final compensation plan very soon. But If the tech problems and delays continue I hope at least they can set up a minion farm to give us cloud hashing.

I am glad that tracyhh has gotten the police involved, it's way beyond the time this should have happened.

Sorry but this show absolute ignorance about civil and criminal code and how the law works.

exactly what you think will do the police? Arrest someone? close the factory? freeze the BA assets? in which accusations?

God knows I'm not a BA fanboy and I'm pissed off just like everybody in this thread but please use your brain and common sense.

It's crime..so I choose to call police in China, this may easy, they will actually deal this case from last week...

I am in China

but what you claimed? theft? scam?
can you please post a copy of the complaint?
which payment method you used?
25  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.99/GH/s, miners from $2.97/GH/s on: June 08, 2014, 02:28:39 AM
And don't forget to call the White House to send the Navy Seals Team Six the Marines and maybe one or two armed drones.

Seriously you call the police from another country and tell what? What kind of criminal activity is in course in BA's home? Your lawyer and your common sense knows this is maybe a civil case. Do you really want to go to a court? I don't know in your contry but in mine start one case of this nature is at least pay in advance 8k-15k for expenses and waith at least 1 year. Finally you go to the court and the trial Beguin....  I don't think so

They're shiping in less than a week i wouldn't expect a large change in numbers.

ok! so, what is the minion power comsumption when run at 100 Ghs/s?
27  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.99/GH/s, miners from $2.97/GH/s on: May 08, 2014, 10:18:55 PM
They mean the Antminer S2, not the S1. The S2 is basically the same thing as one of the X-3 subunits, but has been available for a bit already.

thats true but my point is wait for the final numbers to make comparisions!
28  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.99/GH/s, miners from $2.97/GH/s on: May 08, 2014, 10:09:39 PM
150w @ 120gh/s is 1.25w/gh at the wall (compared to 1w/gh had they hit spec)

Anyways what do you want them to do? Send the chips back to design stage and let us wait another 3 months? I'd rather just get my asic now.

it's almost the same W/Gh ratio as an ant miner wich is cheaper and available now.

Bitmain is 2W/Ghs in NORMAL mode
Blackarrow is 1.25w/Ghs OVERCLOCKED

if they have everything ready by next Friday and works hard 24h including the weekend maybe they can make it
30  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.99/GH/s, miners from $2.97/GH/s on: April 16, 2014, 11:09:05 PM
I agree that BA seems to be legit if we are talking about working to make a chip and release something.  What I am horribly pissed and let down about is that not only did they completely miss their first shipping date, but they completely and flat out lied about being on track to hit it until a month before, and we still have not even heard so much as an apology for...
1) Missing the shipping date
2) Lying about being on schedule (and they can tell you all they want that they did not know, but less than a month from shipping with no tape out tells a completely different story which if they truly believe that they should be on the same level as Mark Karpelas in terms of stupidity)
3) Giving us some shit compensation package that still will not make us break even, much less turn a positive ROI, on these things, meanwhile telling us that it is none of their concern on whether their customers break even.
I truly do not believe there is any hope of them hitting this new deadline.  Chips should be out of fab in the next couple of days per my calculations and the only chance they have is that everything is perfect (like literally perfect where they do not even have to test the chip, but basically start dropping them into boards and sending them out the door).  I just do not see that happening, but I could be wrong.  Even if I am wrong though, I will just buy another X-3 when they start shipping that should be delivered at the same time as everyone elses...ehh I am just ranting again, trying to get people to see how much they have been screwed.

I think a more likely scenario is, we will see another couple week delay, at which time they will deliver a very well made device that is practically worthless in the world of bitcoin.

+1

I still have a little hope of break even based on: 1) after a false suport break Btc price start a bullish trend 2) BA improve our compensation package. Lets see

Why BA must convert the payments received in btc to fiat currency ?

In the moment they make the exchange start to generate taxes and financial expenses.

Is much better hold it as long as you can specially if at least part of your suppliers also accept payments from you in Btc

I guess If the Btc remains in the zone of 1000$ we don't have this conversation.
32  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.99/GH/s, miners from $2.97/GH/s on: April 11, 2014, 12:13:43 AM

First a little bit of chartism for the serious investors  Grin lol

If you make a quick analysis of the Bitcoin chart the price has a strong support in the zone between 370 and 400 $ (the lost of this support means the price will drop deep to the bottom) in the other hand the next resistance is first the 560 $ (200 days moving average) and after that the zone of 600 $ if the price can break this resistance in the next days/weeks we will see the beginning of a bullish trend. In my opinion this option is more probable but of course I can be wrong.

ok today price close was 357,57$  Cry time to close all positions (or open shorts) and wait to see where is the price ground

BTC isn't going to soar 100x its current value anymore.

Shocked ¿this affirmation is based in some data or anything?
Im not delusional, if you think we will see 50,000$ a Bitcoin you are out of your mind. I would LOVE for you to prove me wrong as i would be rich since im a long term holder.

You have to consider the relative strength of the dollar you list as well. Few people see a future that doesn't involve a significant amount of inflation.

well, is a little bit off-topic but listen: I trade stocks, commodities, Forex,  physical gold/silver, futures... and in my portfolio BTC is in the side of the physical gold.
Exist many reasons for think in the long run the BTC goes up (at least to 1000 $ for sure  Grin) but I give to you only two. 1 Fiat money lost value in unstoppable way (you can call it inflation if you want) 2 unlike the paper Gold/Silver electronic markets for now is very difficult or almost impossible take huge short positions against BTC

"We trust that Bitcoin mining will be profitable in May as well or all the Bitcoin mining will stop. The online profitability calculators are wrong just because nobody in the right mind will keep doubling the hashrate of the network every month if they are loosing money. The hashrate of the network will keep growing only if the bitcoin value goes up again. For this reason and because we provide the lowest prices possible we do not think that our miners will have a negative return of investment. However, we understand that you might not agree with us and we'll offer you the refund if you decide to go ahead with it."

Difficulty jumped by about a billion Saturday.

Second."nobody in the right mind will keep doubling the hashrate of the network every month if they are loosing money. The hashrate of the network will keep growing only if the bitcoin value goes up again." I think this is only half true because when the price go down a lot of orders remains undelivered (same if the price go up) so the network difficulty don't follow the BTC price in real time but with a lot of delay.

It sounds to me like a power issue. If your computer is a desktop tower try the rear usb ports

if they get the minion by the week of 14 maybe is possible. At least they can start mining in his own farm and start compensate us with cloud hashing, refunds etc..
38  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.99/GH/s, miners from $2.97/GH/s on: April 03, 2014, 04:40:15 AM
Somebody help me, please! I am a bit too worried lately about the profitability of these miners. According to my calculations, I'll never be able to get the ROI for them

ok I try. don't forget the price of the BTC vs USD is not fixed. If the price of the BTC go up the difficult growing speed will be increased. If the price falls the difficult growing speed will slow down. An finally don't forget the re-sell value of your miner.

You can play this game in two ways: 1 buy your miner, mine for a while (maybe two months or so) sell your miner, hold the BTC's forever (well until it worth milions  Grin) 2 buy your miner, mine for a while, re invest your winings in another miner, start again the first step, and again, and again etc... I know this is not 100% correct but i hope you get the picture

Any update on cash refunds, BA? My support ticket has gone unanswered for over a week now..   Undecided

from the last BA progress update:

8.Customer support:
a.We are still lagging behind and have a queue of 700 tickets. We are deeply sorry for the inconvenience please bear with us until we get this sorted. Our most experienced agent (Julia) is in maternal leave, the next experienced one (Alexey) is working on the case half time and the 3rd one (Sylvia) is in training. We have one other agent (Matt) working part time, remotely, but his limited time does not allow him to make much progress.
b.Customers must understand that our headquarters from China do not have access to Facebook. This account is maintained from abroad and they are unable to access any customer support issues.
c.Few customers have requested refunds. Please rest assured that we will refund the USD in May and we are trying to refund BTCs sooner but we are waiting for a legal document which was not returned yet. Please note that customers opening more tickets will just get you back to the end of the queue as we reply the tickets in the reverse order of activity.
