I quit with this kind of coin.
I tried different miners: yacminer-3.3.1, yacminer-3.4.2, cgminer-3.7.2-sj-0.02 and other modified scrypt-jane miners + many different settings and nobody works.
I got only windows freeze and have to restart my computer.
For me it's a waste of time.
My GPU: PowerColor R9 290X
if someone with this GPU brand is able to mine scrypt-jane coins please sent me a pm with miner and command line.

what speed should I have with 290X?
gpu miner is yac miner, but I have problems with this type of coins.
most of times I get HW errors and not accept any shares, sometimes the miner doesn't work.
I was able to run with this command:
thorcoinminer -o stratum+tcp://stratum.thorcoin.pools.mindfox.net:3342 -u USER -p PASS --scrypt --Nfmin 4 --Nfmax 30 --StartT 1393167677 -I 15
no HW errors for now, speed about 350 Kh/s but again miner can not accept any shares and the pc is very unstable, some times all freeze for few seconds.
What should I do?

I'm using YACMiner 3.4.2 to mine it, and getting 1.05 MH/sec on each of my R7 250's. Command looks something like this yacminer --scrypt --worksize 256 -g 4 --lookup-gap 1 --buffer-size 150 -X 1024 --gpu-engine 1200 --gpu-memclock 1100 -o stratum+tcp://thor.zeuspool.com:3336 -u Thirtybird.R7250 -p x --nfmin 4 --nfmax 30 --starttime 1393167677
The settings on that card weren't terribly important - it maxed out the GPU with pretty much anything I threw at it. Tnx. I tried with YACMiner 3.4.2 and these settings but cmd window is black, miner doesn't work and after 1 min Windows freeze and only solution is to restart the pc. maybe powercolor r9 290x can not mine yac algo, I don't know where the problem is. |

Why if I receive even 1 rejected share (job XXX not found) I got "worker is temporarily banned"? After this message the pool returns only "worker is temporarily banned" even if new shares are accpeted. I need to restart miner to works normal. I use https://www.mine-pool.net/qubit/. |

PowerColor are the slowest GPU for mining. Their speed is less than the other brands, look here - https://litecoin.info/Mining_hardware_comparisonR9 290X, AXR9 290X 4GBD5-MDHG/OC = 720 Kh/s So your 750-780 is not bad for this cards, should be happy that you reached 780  I also have PowerColor R9 290X and the maximum speed reached is that 740 Kh/s but sometimes speed drops below 700  PowerColor = bad cards. Sapphire is the best for mining. Example: PowerColor R9 290X = 720-750 Kh/s Sapphire R9 280X = 770-800 Kh/s Sapphire 280X is faster than PowerColor 290X the best GPU is Sapphire R9 290X Tri-X = ~1000 Kh/s |

Fastpow, the problem is somewhere with you, not with Cryptsy. The exchange "Cryptsy" can not protect your email from hackers. Maybe somewhere you are infected and so they have stolen your acc info for Cryptsy, email, and mybe more infos. I use Cryptsy and I have no problems. Some users complain that there is a delay of transactions or other, but I never was For me Cryptsy is the best exchange and I'm waiting to put option "USD Markets" :p Cryptsy will be All in One. |

There is no longer "only CPU". Each CPU Coin can be mined with GPU and if CPU Coin uses a special algorithm, it's just a matter of time for someone to make GPU miner. |
