21  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] 3.5 TH KnC Franken Joops In hand. on: May 05, 2014, 11:09:45 PM
In hand 3.5 TH miner including 3 1200w Plat PSUs and 1 860w Plat PSU. Ready to go. I took the ASIC's out of the crappy case and it dropped my temps by 10c. if you want the cases let me know. They are currently set up "all datorhall" style in my office/sauna. I also have 8 working 200 GH/s replacement cards im including, So another 1.6 TH/s minus the 2 required controller cards and the heat sinks. Im also throwing in another 10 KnC ASICs that either have some dead die issues or don't work at all. Most of all the loose cards work, again to some degree (most between 50-100+ GH/s) so if you like to tinker these are something to mess with. I just don't have the time to screw around with them. If you do find some of the loose cards that are completely dead I may be able to get them replaced under warranty. Maybe. SO to sum it all up....

3.5+ TH/s currently mining here: http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/userstats.php/14rrzZYLQyyfnp2z56B3DN1aEqDKLBvGYJ

1.6 TH/s loose cards that work but will need  2 controller cards and heat sinks (Or you can drown them in oil to save on heat sinks)

750 GH/s (On average)  loose cards again no heat sinks and will require controller cards.

3 1200w platinum PSUs included.

1 860w platinum PSU included.

Selling it all for $4.07 per GH or PM your best offer.

Escrow fine if you pay any fees and the person has to be mutual.

Local pick up in SOFL.

KnCMiner Offers Two-for-One Deal on Bitcoin Mining’s Most Powerful Machine to Loyal Customers

STOCKHOLM, DATE, 2014 — KnCMiner (https://www.kncminer.com/), the most trusted brand in Bitcoin mining, announced today that it will give every current customer who has an outstanding order for a machine from its Neptune line’s first two batches a free Neptune from its upcoming “third batch” of Neptunes. This represents a $5,995 value and, perhaps more importantly, will provide KnCMiner’s most loyal customers with twice the hashing power they would have otherwise received with just one of these machines.

“We know that it is getting tougher to successfully mine in this environment and we want our customers to have every advantage we can give them,” said KnCMiner CEO Sam Cole. “So to combat the downward trend in mining returns for the customers who have been with us right from the beginning, and to show our competition we mean business, we will be over-delivering again on all orders.”

Neptune is KnCMiner’s first 20nm product. It features a minimum of 3,000 GH/s (aka 3 TH/s) of hashing speed, five times faster than the company’s most recent bestselling miner, the Jupiter. It also boasts a 30 percent reduction in watts-per-GH. Thanks to KnCMiner’s offer, each customer who ordered a first or second batch Neptune, will get a minimum 6TH for each order, with their original 3TH product shipped in June and the free “third batch” machine delivered in August.

“As miners face growing competition, and the increasing difficulty to mine Bitcoin, we will keep working on creative and unorthodox ways to put the best and most loyal customers on the planet first and provide them with the competitive edge they’ve come to expect from KnCMiner,” said Cole.

The company has recently announced other initiatives to engage all form of cryptominers, including the launch of a “Mini Neptune” machine (1500 GH/s, $3,495), and for all those Litecoin and Dogecoin enthusiasts, the availability of scrypt miners—the Titan (300 MH/s, $9,995) and “Mini Titan” (150 MH/s, $5,495). KnCMiner also offers cloud-hosted mining participation to existing customers. To learn more about these products and services, please visit https://www.kncminer.com.

I watched a youtube video where someone tried to give away a gold coin at a beach somewhere in the US. No one would take it. He tried to pay for a $2 meal at TacoBell with it and the teller wouldn't accept it even though it had a legal tender value printed on it.

People are living in fear of everything and refuse to trust their own senses to tell them right from wrong. Yet, they will take whatever some idiot on the television says as gospel.

Just got back into bitcoins a month ago or so. My original plan was to mine my coins but with the introduction of the ASICs the market is kind of fubar atm. and after reading a lot of posts here about plans of action I feel my best option (most profitble) would be to buy bitcoins rather than mine them. So my initial investment for a miner was 10k so what im looking for is someone who is willing to sell me 10k worth of bitcoins. I would rather do this deal in person for cash but will entertain other options. Anyone in FL who wants to make a deal let me know. I could buy them through coinbase but that would entail me having to deposit 10k in the bank and that is not something I want to do. If there is anyone out there that would like to let some coins go for around 60-70 I would up the buy to between 20-25k.

34  Other / Beginners & Help / Bitcoin Regulation on: August 22, 2013, 01:16:59 AM
Long time lurker here..

I dabbled in BTC a few years ago and just recently have been bit again by the BTC bug. I see now there is alot more notoriety about BTC and with that I see that there has been quite some buzz among the US Govt. about how to regulate ("Dare I say" better track) Bitcoins and their usage. I currently use coinbase as my online wallet but not sure if this will become/Is an issue as the Treasury department has issued them a sopena asking such things as: how well are they equipped to deal with money laundering. Not to mention they very well could be required to turn over account information to the govt if requested. I have already read some post around here that CB has not allowed certain transactions that they deem "high risk". How trustworthy do you think CB is?

Do you think it possible with the intrusion of the US Govt into BTC could bring upon its down fall? Would you still use BTC if it were as as regulated as the USD?
