21  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [~3000 Gh/s Mining Pool] HTTPS,API, instant payouts,LP,+1% for NO INVALID BLOCKS on: June 14, 2011, 10:18:33 PM
I gotta ask, why are you guys sticking with deepbit with the constant connection issues?  I am a noob at this and I switched off the first day it started giving me problems, which was 4 days ago.  Since then been 4 days without a single connection issue over at bitcoins.lc and have made about 1.5x the bitcoins per day as I was making over at deepbit.  I stuck with deepbit for a while and it certainly has the best web layout, but who wants to constantly be dealing with connection issues and miners sitting idle doing nothing?

My experience, until today, was the exact opposite :/
22  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [225Gh/s+] Bitcoins.lc - Finally a usuable Bitcoin Pool! (EU, IPv6, 0% fee, LP) on: June 14, 2011, 09:21:34 PM
Just switched one card (300 mh/s) over to this pool, how long will it take for the site to reflect a balance?  I've also set up poclbm like so:

start /DC:\bitcoin\poclbm poclbm.exe -d1 --host="http://bitcoins.lc" --port=8080 --user="WORKERNAME" --pass="WORKERPASS" -v -f70 -w128

with workername/pass being what they actually are.  Is this correct?  My site login is nowhere in there but this seems to work, poclbm generating shares just nothing is reflected on the site yet.

For some reason stats aren't being shown for anyone right now. I guess they'll update when they're fixed Smiley

Stats/payments are still being recorded despite not being shown right - I want to be sure I'm not mining for nothing! Smiley

Mining with you again! Smiley Love the 0% fee heh.

Is deepbit getting DDoSed? I'm getting loads of these:

2011-06-14 16:50:21: Listener for "Default": 14/06/2011 16:50:21, Problems communicating with bitcoin RPC
2011-06-14 16:50:27: Listener for "Default": 14/06/2011 16:50:27, Problems communicating with bitcoin RPC
2011-06-14 16:50:33: Listener for "Default": 14/06/2011 16:50:33, Problems communicating with bitcoin RPC

Switched pools as my mining was literally stopped.

first time using GLBSE decided to buy 10shares. how often are dividends paid how far are me away from more rigs?

Check the previous page - the goal is for weekly payouts, from now on (this was the first payout) Smiley

Heh, reinvested mine too! Good job mate! Smiley

Yep. Until there is a specific function from GLBSE let's go with a mock motion and have an alert to the mock motion posted here. Hope Nefarious is going to start rewarding us for these development ideas ;0)

I think WE should be thanking him :p
29  Economy / Marketplace / Re: SkepsiDyne Integrated Node - A Bitcoin Mining Company on: June 12, 2011, 01:25:19 PM
I think the best way would, indeed, be having Nefario implement a "Message Shareholders" function - in the meantime, though, you could probably make a motion with whatever it is you have to say, except the votes don't count for anything.

EDIT: I do not support insider trading Smiley

How does the site calculate stales? How often/at what intervals?
31  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [~2300 Gh/s Mining Pool] HTTPS,API, instant payouts,LP,+1% for NO INVALID BLOCKS on: June 09, 2011, 08:30:31 PM
You know, because of all the hysteria with deepbit perhaps having more than 50% and with Tycho being the spawn of the devil and all that, I've tried to switch to a bunch of other pools. But you know what? None are as reliable as deepbit; deepbit's fee may be slightly higher but the fact that it's got a very high uptime and is run by someone competent nulls that fee out, and I keep coming back to deepbit because, damn, it offers the best service.

So thanks, Tycho! Smiley

Great to know this is working, I'll probably be buying a couple more shares! Cheesy
33  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [Swepool.net]Pay-Per-Share, LP, JSON-API, SSL, Email Notify, Super Low Variance! on: June 02, 2011, 05:51:09 PM
I have been getting plenty of errors lately, so I'm switching to another pool. Is it just me?
34  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: June 02, 2011, 05:47:21 PM
I like it, do you run with the side on or off?
Right now it's off, because that ASUS card is getting hot hot hot, but I usually run the side on. Won't be an issue when I get the new rig built.

Out of curiosity, how much is "hot hot hot"? Smiley
35  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [~1600 Gh/s Mining Pool] SSL, API, instant payouts,LP,+1% for NO INVALID BLOCKS on: May 30, 2011, 02:15:01 AM
I don't think it's fair to bash [Tycho].

I agree. Shit happens, and a DDoS is out of his control. He has stated he is doing his best to mitigate the issues, and everyone's free to change miners to another pool. I don't see the issue, tbh - it's not like there are database problems or anything, so worst case scenario you can only withdraw your money in a day or two.

Still waiting on the single good PSU to replace the three shitty ones

Nice. What mobo is that that can take 5 cards? o.0
37  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: A Bitcoin Mining Company - SkepsiDyne Integrated Node on: May 26, 2011, 11:09:24 PM
Awesome! When does the vote for the price increase expire / when do we have to vote by?
38  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: May 26, 2011, 12:39:32 AM
If I put a fan on top/under the gfx cards, should it be blowing air at or away from the gfx card?
39  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [Swepool.net][New server] Pay-per-share, LP, JSON-API, workers, Lowest PPS fee! on: May 24, 2011, 06:24:59 PM
It looked very good, so I joined. Website is quite functional, but unfortunately long polling does not seem to work as of now. Unfortunately I erased the log so I can't post it. I'm switching to deepbit for now, but would be interested in using swepool if long polling worked Smiley
40  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: A Bitcoin Mining Company - SkepsiDyne Integrated Node on: May 24, 2011, 04:30:58 PM
Thanks for your help, guys, I've managed to buy my shares Smiley If/when dividends are paid, how are you going to do so, Tawsix? Is it via GLBSE too? And I'd like to, at least, know what gfx card and how many you're putting in per rig - we'd also be able to help out with the math, that way. Also, which is your "main thread" where you'll be providing updates - is it this one?
