What exactly are they rating this market against? It makes no sense to me. I bet this will just cause more FUD. Oh well. We'll keep marching forward and HODLing on.

We're back to 11,700-11,800 range, which is exactly where we were just a couple of days ago. People need to relax, it's just a typical weekend dump. We can't expect the price to go up 1-2k every day forever. There are ups and down during a consolidation. I still think we're about to shoot up in a few weeks time to a new ATH.

Yeah I was reading this thread wondering what the hell you guys were on about. It's already in the high 12s now. It briefly touched 13 today and will most likely head into the low 13s tomorrow. 15k is easily on the horizon for next week.

Ugh, I just did my taxes on TurboTax and can't bring myself to hit the send button.  This sucks. Should I just suck it up, sell 0.2BTC and transfer to my bank and be done with it? I despise giving the US government any more money. Why? Did TurboTax peek into your wallet file? I input the data into Turbotax to see the damage if I decide to be on the up and up. Also, I have used Coinbase to transfer funds directly to my bank. The only reason that I am considering reporting my capital gains, is the IRS is relentless. I could try to be sly about this whole thing, but if the IRS catches a whiff of this without me even trying to report something, I'm sure they will bend me over with no lube. I'm sure they will find ways to turn the 2 grand to a whole lot more. I really don't want them to garnish, levy and attach the shirt off my back. Furthermore, they could pursue me criminally as well. It may be a pittance, but you never know when the US federal government wants to pick you to be made an example of. Gotta pay those taxes bro, sorry. |

In my opinion someone who isn't bullish on BTC should stay out of it completely. I don't know why anyone would want to short this market. Just HODL as many BTC as you can and ignore the nonsense.

Another day, another try to break the $12.500,- level. Marketcap seems to be recovering really well  I don't expect us to moon this weekend yet though. Probably considilate between $10.500 and $12.500. Only time will tell HODL A bunch of folks here think early February is a good call to hit the ATH again. Time will tell. HODL! So do you think that this is a "mooooon"? It is ridiculous when people say that term, seriously.. And no, the price is just at $12,700 right now, this is not a moon, it is just a little increasement. Things grow in waves though. To be honest we should hope for a slow creep up rather than a pump because that will mean there's a dump again later on, and we won't really know when that will happen. Still, theres this wave effect that happens. The more BTC grows, the faster it does so. Just like the FUD spread over the course of 2-3 days, FOMO will do the same on the way up. |

Yes, it is consolidating the 10-12k range. Once it do that, it will try to consolidate the 12-15k, and then the 15-18k range.
This will take some weeks, though. My guess is that we will go back to 20k by the end of February.
We need to be patient.
I think the consolidation may take longer than that. The mempool is still full which means people who have sent their coins to teh exchanges to sell still haven't had the chance to sell. And why would those people sell now that the price stabilized? It'd be stupid to sell when the price is low. |

I think it will go past 20k. When the market corrected back in November, didn't the price shoot up past the ATH of 10k? And then we had 2 corrections since then, but didn't get past the ATH. I think we've safely hit the floor with this last one though, so the movement will come back to BTC similar to the way it did in November. It might take a few weeks though, so just be patient.

Gdax hit 11,8 a little while ago and is still in 11,7 right now. 12k is definitely close.

Don't panic yes but isn't it the best time to sell coins while people thinks the price are dropping.
Unless you have a magic crystal ball you don't want to sell and try to buy back on the way down. You'll surely make a mistake and end up losing even more. Catching a falling knife is a hard thing to do. You should just ride it out. The price will go back up sooner or later. If you think we're near the bottom you might want to pick up some more cheap coins while we're there, but otherwise just hold. |

Too early to tell. It'll be at ATHs by next month, but I don't think anyone here can safely predict how high. We just have to wait and see.
