The concept of this game is very interesting, about the sale and purchase of virtual real estate assets, will be very fun to play it.

I would not call buy/sell mechanic revolutionary, but we've got something never implemented by any game on this market, which will make it big!

Hi,

That's great!

Nowadays we accept translation applications (link can be found in the Bounty thread).

As for the other stuff:
AirDrop bounty - you'll actually be rewarded with the tokens if people use your link, so we are covered here.

If you'd like to spread the word in French in more ways - please feel free to drop us a line at town@eth.town and describe how you can help with the promotion Smiley

Ethereum Citizen!
We are about to launch the alpha version of a totally new and amazing Ethereum based game.

The game is about buying and selling stuff, collecting cards and peeps, negotiating, and eventually getting to the investors heaven and getting good profits.

We can’t disclose all the details just yet, but trust us, it’s hell load of fun and possibilities! It's much more that any other existing Ethereum game is!

We have a few things to announce today:

1) We open up a subscription to be the first to get notified about the alpha launch!

2) We invite players to join Alpha. You can submit your application on our website. Selected members will get an access to the game soon.

3) We run an Airdrop. Subscribe to get 5 tokens (~$5) (as of March 15th) 2 tokens (much bigger value now).

4) We start the Airdrop bounty program. Super lightweight and easy to participate! (Ended on March 15th. Replaced with the new referral program: visit ETH.TOWN with MetaMask enabled to get more details.)

5) We run Facebook + Twitter bounty campaign here.

The Game

Let us introduce you to the GAME OF THE YEAR in the world of decentralized blockchain gaming. Our team has been working on this project since November last year, and now that we’ve made sufficient progress, it’s finally time to showcase part of our efforts to the community.

The key concept revolves around the purchase and sale of virtual real estate assets. You get the chance to try your hand at managing your very own crypto-company. Bring out the Vitalik in you! While conventional asset trading features (and profit-making) will be available, it’s just one element in the exciting game design that ETH.TOWN promises to achieve.

In this game, you will start off as a small property investor, and work your way up to the very top of the ranking ladder. Out-wit! Out-play! Out-strategise! Beyond a certain point in the game, and once certain conditions are met, you will be able to sit back and comfortably benefit from other participants’ actions. We won’t reveal more at this stage, but we promise that game mechanics will be rational, and it’ll be fun!

Is the game about collecting stuff?
Is it about being #1?
Is it about HODLING?
Is it about having FUN?

ABSOLUTELY!

Please read more about the game in our post on Medium:

AirDrop

We’ll give away investor tokens as a reward. Each airdrop member is to get 5 tokens (approximately $5 worth) 2 tokens.

Investor tokens will give you the ability to gain profits from all the players playing the game. You’ll also be able to spend the tokens and obtain some cool in-game stuff.

To participate:
1) Subscribe your e-mail to AirDrop on the Website.
2) You’ll get a code, which you need to post on Twitter or on Facebook.
Titter: The post should include a link to the website (http://eth.town), your personal code. You need to also mention at least 3 friends!
Facebook: The post should include your personal code and the link to our Facebook group: https://fb.me/eth.town
Please don't reply to our account. Post in your own timelines.

3) Follow us on Twitter and join our group on Facebook, this is mandatory (we will verify each subscription).
4) You need to confirm your email and enter your ETH address in the form on the website.

Notes:
- if you didn’t get an email, please check your spam folders. If nothing is there, please try subscribing with a different email.
- Airdrop rewards will be sent out when the final public version of the game is launched, the tokens will belong to the final version of the game.

Airdrop Bounty program

It’s super simple. You’ll get rewarded not for simple posting of dummy tweets here and there, but for the real thing.
It’s more like a referral program. You give people a special link, and if they sign up with it, they participate in the airdrop too. And you get an additional reward!

Rewards: For each invitee you’ll get additional 2 investor tokens ($2 worth).
Top 3 participants (the ones who will invite the most people) will get extra cool content in the game (approx. 1 ETH worth).

Links are in form of: https://eth.town/air/XXXX (you can find it in your email)

In order to start:
- Subscribe to the Airdrop yourself (make a post and enter your ETH address)
- Start spreading the word and sharing your link!

The system will detect all confirmed submissions and reward you with points. You’ll be able to check the status of your bounty by … ?

You can create local Airdrop program threads, you can announce airdrop whenever you want. It’s up to you.

Note: we verify all subscriptions manually. Cheaters will be disqualified completely, and we are good at spotting them.

Пользователь подал в суд на Coinbase.

I also consider myself an Austrian. And as weird as it seems, I think the austrian economists don't realize that bitcoin has all the criteria they talk about for sound money. Bitcoin is austrian but the austrians don't see it yet!

You would agree that everything Murray Rothbard says in "What has government done to our money?" applies to Bitcoin right? EXCEPT for the main thing he always says. A currency must have intrinsic value before becoming a currency.

I think bitcoin DOES have intrinsic value. What is throwing them off is the whole digital part. Maybe it's because we are obsessed with commodities like gold and silver.

But look at it this way. A written paper letter is something physical. It surves it's purpose (to tell Grand-ma happy b-day or whatever). It has real value.
A e-mail serves the same purpose. E-mail has real value. But it's digital!
I think it's just that our brains havent evolved with computers (no shit haha) and it feels strange to say that a binary code can be valuable.

I order for the austrian critics of bitcoin to be right in regards to that criteria not being met to qualify as sound money, they would have to make the case that an e-mail has no value.

its a double edged sword man. no gov control or back by trust.  i would argue that an email to grandma has no value as cause cant trade it for a bitcoin, or silver. an individual would have to see the value in said email and be willing to pay you upon an agreed price. i dont know of anyone that is buying emails between two individuals. unless there are of some pictures of naked chicks or grandmas secret chicken soup recipe.

Maybe I didnt express myself clearly with my e-mail analogy.
letters do a specific job. pick one. saying happy b-day, wish you were here, paying my visa with a check, etc.
I am not talking about the papers value. I'm talking about the thing called a letter.

e-mail can do the same job. it's useful to humans just as a paper letter is. it gets the job done (be it, happy bday, wish your were here, visa, etc) only faster, with less energy and ressources.

Look at it this way. If I took away e-mail tomorrow. how much money would a company pay me to reinstate e-mail in the business world?

So if I took away Nike's capacity to e-mail. it could go back to paper letters to malaysia, long distance phone calls and the fax machine.
How much money do you think nike would be willing to pay me to reinstate e-mail within their company.

e-mail has enourmous value. Even though I can't touch it, see it, hug it, get it to give me a bj, etc. Binary has value.  1000100010111100101010010111100001001001001

So no one likes the simplicity and clarity of my analogy?
I've used it on statist and it worked like a charm. Everyone understood exactly that it would be silly to have a business run that way and call it choice. Hence the statist was having a hard time defending his "voting = choice" position.

I just thought I'd share. I'm not sure whether any of you agree with my analogy or not d:
