21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: stop listen to false news on: February 26, 2018, 06:59:07 PM
This fake news propogate by some people who want to crush Bitcoin just to buy it in smaller price.
I completely agree with you, however in the end of the day it comes down to the bitcoin users/holders. So just if the price drops by 8%+ do NOT panic sell the people who end up selling just create a snowball effect and cause the drop to sometimes double. However in some cases I noticed a few people selling just because they want to buy-in at a cheaper price which might seem like a risky move. I've been quite intrigued with the phrase "Buy the rumor, sell the news". TLDR: HODL and BODL
22  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wall street will turn ETHER? on: February 26, 2018, 06:50:26 PM
https://upvotesclub.com/the-ethereumization-of-wall-street-is-inevitable-expe-news/

I read this article, thought, I'll share. It sounhds good, but I don't think it will happen that easy, Wall Street perfectly understands the dangers it is facing in the face of cryptocurrency markets. So they will lobby for heavy regulations and even if that happens, it will be on their terms. As a matter of fact, I think that once the cryptos will be "properly regulated" you will have to get "qualified investor" status in order to trade them.
Why?
Because the government needs to protect you! Smiley
It's not a matter of "If" , Its just a matter of "Time".. Ethereum has been getting a lot of attention during the past year since It's been one of the main platforms regarding ICOs and distributing tokens with its smart-contract creation. I think there will be more Ethereum focus once Ethereum gets upgraded in the near future to support more transactions.

Banks are now team up to use blockchain. What is your thought on this guys?
It could affect the cryptocurrency or not?
Not surprised at all, Blockchain is where the future is heading.. If anything we are only at the beginning stages of mass block-chain adoption, from security to smart-contracts.. blockchain offers it all : ) , I wouldn't be surprised if we saw more online-based businesses also implement block-chain.
24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your plans with your Bitcoin? on: February 26, 2018, 07:54:13 AM
Hi guys Smiley May I know what are your plans on your Bitcoin in the future? Do you plan to keep on investing on Bitcoin related businesses or do plan to convert it into fiat and ventures on new business?

I'm planning to invest more on Bitcoin related companies and convert some of my Bitcoin into fiat and invest it on our local stock market. How about you?
For me Bitcoin isn't really my main source of income, It's more of a hobby/skill I've acquired over the years.. I don't usually mind selling some of my gains into Fiat but my plan has usually been to HODL, as for the recent year I've been more into altcoins, some in which that have really innovative ideas. So TLDR: My plans for bitcoin is to hold, hold, hold.. and if Lightning network gets released and bitcoin receives more adoption my plan would always be to support bitcoin every step of the way.
25  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Social Media Influence bitcoin growth? on: February 19, 2018, 03:31:02 PM
Does Social Media Influence bitcoin growth?

Yup, there is no such thing as bad publicity.  Even when bitcoin was crashing and it was all over social media. It's still free advertising for bitcoin which sparks some interest into a lot of young minds. That eventually leap on the crypto wagon. Also when well-known influencers show their support to crypto It usually helps paint a positive image of an altcoin/bitcoin to their fans.
26  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: To regulate, or not to regulate that is the question on: February 19, 2018, 02:18:04 PM
I'm on the fence on this one, regulating would lower the "Anonymity" factor of Crypto. However I'm all for stopping money laundering and terrorism. And in the end of the day It's worth mentioning that regulating is far less harsh than Banning Crypto all together. So I'm assuming the way the regulation would be done is through the exchanges and online-wallets? Would this cause an end to QT-clients?
27  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Steam Puzzle Game Offering 1 Bitcoin to the First Person Who Can Beat It on: February 19, 2018, 02:14:37 PM
I browsed through the article, the artwork was nice. Even though there will only be one winner or a team. It's still nice to see Bitcoin offered as a prize pool. When new players play the game and notice the prize mentioning "Bitcoin" some might wonder "What is Bitcoin?" and thus getting introduced into the world of cryptocurrency. Nonetheless I hope for a smooth launch tomorrow and may the smartest brain win.
28  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin become a daily currency? on: February 19, 2018, 06:26:15 AM
Bitcoin transactions are way slower than other cryptos and fees are high, and when you pay with bitcoin you pay with only fractions of it, so do you think it is possible for bitcoin to become a daily currency? Something you can use to pay for coffee? If no, then what cryptocurrency have this potential?
Currently, No. Bitcoin cannot become a daily currency mainly because of the high transaction fees. Lets say you were to buy a drink that costs 5$ in some cases you'd end up paying twice as much just for the transaction fee. However this doesn't mean bitcoin won't ever have the potential to become a daily currency. I believe it will be ready with the release of the lightning network that would lower the fees significantly. Then it would have to wait for more adoption, and maybe after a few years become a daily currency in certain countries. Hope for the best.

31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 100 Powerful people from Blockchain on: February 12, 2018, 07:40:50 PM
Nick Szabo should be in top 10! although I do appreciate the effort put into making this list, I'm not a big fan of the order. I guess in the end of the day it comes down to personal preference and contribution. Yet I can't deny that Vitalik deserves his spot : )
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is better than Cash. on: February 12, 2018, 04:54:14 PM
What are the reasons, why people use Cash or Credit Cards / ATM / Banks?

I agree bitcoin is better than cash, and can't argue with most of the points you've mentioned, however there are a few things worth pointing out. Bitcoins price rather volatile, you can use cash to buy pretty much anything. Unlike bitcoin. Also bitcoin has pretty heavy fees atm. Now does this mean Cash>Bitcoin? Not necessarily as I'm certain that once bitcoin gets more adoption and recognition and the fee problem is fixed via segwit and lightning network then Btc>>>Cash Smiley .
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US Gov gives cryptocurrency the green light - markets respond with an $83 billio on: February 12, 2018, 11:41:24 AM
They are probaably preparing for the announcement of the FedCoin. Smiley

There is no way crypto-currencies would have reach these heights,
without a wink and a nod from the 01%. Wink
Not entirely they might not in fact make a "Fedcoin" but still find other uses to block chain technology that could help in their field of work. As for the US potentially changing this decision and revoking their stand on bitcoin. I feel like it would cause more harm that good. As crypto in general has thrived during the past year and continues to implement and innovate extraordinary technologies.
34  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the possibility happen to us when the bitcoin is gone on: February 12, 2018, 11:34:19 AM
We know that bitcoin are important to us, what will be the possibility to happen to you or to us when bitcoin is gone?.  For now bit coin is  one of my chance to make my dream came true, I want to be rich someday, but when it gone,  my dream will be ruin.  Angry
Set reasonable goals/Milestones that you know you can achieve with a steady plan. Also I'm not sure what you meant by "When bitcoin is gone" as in when it gets banned from your country? when the price crashes completely? When bitcoin runs out? I think it's safe to assume that bitcoin won't ever be "Worthless" even with all the altcoins, as for bitcoin running out, we're still have over a hundred years left. Finally If you're extremely worried about "your" bitcoin disappearing don't use the same password of your wallet on other websites. Print multiple copies of your private key and keep them secured.
35  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Request to all Bitcoin holders on: February 12, 2018, 09:02:43 AM
Either we come up with real innovative ideas to speed up transaction rate by 10 times, increase Bitcoin usage in real world, add more use cases for Bitcoin usages and Bitcoin becomes like Apple/Amazon or it goes down and down and become another Yahoo.

We need to innovate together to take BitCoin to 100-500k USD level.

No more innovations means BitCoin will die. Anything which does not evolve can not survive for long.
I'm fond with your enthusiasm, and yes It's great to think of more innovative ways to upgrade bitcoin. I would recommend you read more about the soon to be released "Lightning Network" It aims to decrease the fees and introduce cross-blockchain technology which would take bitcoin and Crypto to the new level.
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are ur btc tax plans on: February 12, 2018, 08:57:14 AM
I'm a bit confused here I feel like I misinterpreted the title, you can now pay your taxes with bitcoin in some states in the US. Or did you mean taxing income on crypto in general, in that case I'm all for it. As It's either that or crypto banned. Although It would still be better to see less % taxes.
As for the "I won't get caught" part I still feel like they associate a number of bitcoin wallets with your private information. And yeah some exchanges/Online wallets share their info causing a semi regulated bitcoin tax plan.
37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 50 cent on: February 05, 2018, 06:53:56 PM
In 2014 rapper '50 cent' accepts bitcoin for online album sale netting him a nice 700 btc. 4 years later those sales in bitcoin are worth 8 million dollars.

The article was released when bitcoin was worth around 11k, It's now less than 7k. I'd recommend he do the same thing and forget about them for another 4 years. HAH seriously though I bet we'll be seeing him in a new car any time soon.  Roll Eyes
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nakamoto - Hiding from his flaws on: February 05, 2018, 02:20:08 PM
What if Satoshi Nakamoto " The creator of Bitcoin " is actually not dead but hiding. What if he knew that these scaling issues are going to come in the future and there are actual flaws in his own system. But he didn't wanted his hardwork to go in vain and so he let the system run on it's own. What if he knew all of this and this is why he is hiding away from the world.
What do you guys think ? Did he wanted to test whether the world could find a solution to this ?
I highly doubt he is dead, but yes the whole point of bitcoin is decentralization. And to help achieve that would be easier without a centralized Face behind Bitcoin "Satoshi Nakamoto". And he could also be targeted. As many believe he owns over a million bitcoin, therefore for his safety at least I think he did the right choice by not revealing himself.
39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Satoshi Nakamoto? on: February 05, 2018, 01:55:14 PM
Satoshi Nakamoto is the name used in the white paper of bitcoin the "Creator" of the digital currency. I'm not saying I'm 100% certain that Nick Szabo is indeed Satoshi Nakamoto. I just wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to be him. And if Satoshi Nakamoto is a group of people Nick HAS to be one of them. Not sure if this has been posted here but I'd highly encourage watching this video that details the key points on why Nick Szabo is possibly Satoshi Nakamoto https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYtfZeJr3C0
40  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Suicide due to losses due to investment in virtual currency on: February 05, 2018, 01:52:21 PM
Sad
A Korean student has committed suicide after falling into a depression because of a big loss of money invested in bitcoin and cryptocurrency......

Thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. Also I cannot stress this enough, DO NOT invest more than what you are willing to lose! Do not invest your life savings (Car,house, college tuition..) Also it might not have  only been about crypto and he might have suffered from mental problems due to other things, If anyone reading this is going through depression. Don't be shy to talk about it with others you aren't alone  Wink
