21  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC-e.com Problems on: March 03, 2014, 01:42:16 PM
Btc-e's banking partner is located in Czech, that might be your answer.. Or you forgot to insert message in the wire (which credits to your account)
22  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just about the best explanation of Bitcoin for newbies ever! on: March 03, 2014, 01:19:28 PM
If by "best" you mean completely wrong on multiple levels and utterly useless then yes it is the "best".  Nothing wrong with simplifying a concept but if you do such in such a manner that you make completely false statements that kinda defeats the purpose.

24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: would you accept stolen bitcoins? on: March 03, 2014, 12:20:34 PM
No I wouldn't accept them.  I check the serial number of every dollar bill in my wallet against the national database of stolen money  (Library of Laundering).  The LOL also tracks terrorist funds digitally and I refuse to take that.  Unfortunately it means I send most of my paycheck back and I'm totally broke.

29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin & PoW is a waste of energy & destroys nature on: February 26, 2014, 12:17:09 AM
Everytime you mine a satoshi, a baby polar bear drowns  Cry
I'm not the one who is building coal and nuclear plants just because they generate more $/energy than solar and wind.

Their blood is on your hands.

Besides, if the US would massively employ wind/solar (80%) instead of nuclear/coal electricity would be so costly cryptos, at the very least, wouldn't exist.

Nuclear is fine, uranium isn't

Amazed at all the people stashing yearly fucking salaries on an exchange that has proven unreliable over and over.

33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Question About Early Adapters Who Hold Coins on: January 13, 2014, 02:41:32 AM
I'm not an early adopter altho I did acquire my biggest chunk significally lower than todays price, first @140 after Silk Road crash (damn you bitstamp verification), I've continued to buy at 250, 400, 750 and 850. I'll keep buying for 15-20% of monthly income while I can- I'm certain that I'll be glad I did once the block reward halves.
34  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing what you CAN'T afford to lose crew on: January 07, 2014, 07:37:46 PM
There was a guy who went all in at $50 or, with a mortgage backed by his house if I'm right. He recouped his initial loan @ $170.

I also know quite a few who have more in bitcoin than what they would be willing to lose, to put it lightly Smiley

36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Max Keiser rumour: Netflix considering bitcoin on: January 05, 2014, 01:38:09 AM
max keiser trolls all the time.. he does have a vested interest after all. at this point, i tend to believe that even the winklevoss brothers are less suspiciosu than max.

He's losing credibility as an economist if he keeps chatting shit though. I guess he doesn't care, but still...

he probably doesn't, he is getting filthy rich from bitcoin and litecoin.
37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FranceBitcoin.com For Sale & Bitcoin.me SOLD For $10,000 on: January 03, 2014, 07:00:21 PM
I don't see how chinabitcoin.com can be this worth.
It's totally worthless because chinese people would search for 比特币中国 (already taken), rather than "china bitcoin".
Why they would search in english if they could use their own language?

btcchina.com
huobi.com
chbtc.com
fxbtc.com

38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid BTC booming too fast? on: January 03, 2014, 06:46:45 PM
at this point i would rather it boom really fast rather than steady, not just for the sake of $ gains.. but once it gets so big, it gets more difficult for government to regulate and stop.

indeed, bitcoins market cap is only 40% of Inktomi's during the .com-bubble, it will sure be interesting to see once/if it's market cap will be equal to that of Apple/Exxon/Berkshire
39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Congratulations CANADIANS, now your bitcoin is the most EXPENSIVE in the world. on: January 01, 2014, 11:36:19 PM

40  Economy / Speculation / Re: So it's 2014, and NOTHING happened on: January 01, 2014, 08:09:19 PM
