21  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitmit - BitCoin auction house with integrated escrow and more on: October 04, 2011, 08:24:57 PM
What if people don't like bidding game?

Most Chinese people don't like bidding game, that's one of the reasons Ebay failed in China.

Please provide a choice, that sellers can sell goods at a pre-fixed price.

How much are you going to charge the sellers?
22  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where should we sell our goods by accepting bitcoin easily and low-costly! on: October 04, 2011, 07:42:13 PM
bitcoinclassifieds.net, only be able to post an ad. cannot get payments from buyers.

Actually, I don't care how many people will go the site, I will just bring more people through good price and social media there. the bitcoin ebay can just serve as a goods information+payment system. they don't need to serve as a channel.

I didnt have any issues posting my stuff to  bitcoinclassifieds.net

I have yet to find a easy to use site to locate local merchants accepting bitcoin though.

Forbitcoin is full of ugly stuff.

bitcoinharbor charges the seller 5%

www.biddingpond.com force me into filling like 15 items to register, so I just give up. Cuz I don't think the buyer will be that patient.
24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Impressive bitcoin one liners for non bitcoiners on: October 04, 2011, 06:14:02 PM
I think we should stop wasting our time and energy on such kind of meaningless PR brainstorm. Why not some one good at coding start a free-of-charge\easy-to-go\easy-to-pay bitcoin Ebay service, and everybody who reply this post put up 1 or 2 his old stuff on sale?

Re: Please recommend a bitcoin's ebay for me.

It doesn't meet all your requirements, but I've used BiddingPond for a dozen or so successful transactions (most of them me selling something). It was much more popular when it first came out, but since then has had times of not having much support or usage. I get the impression that it's just something that one person maintains in his spare time, but it recently had a bit of an update and I can log into my account again at least, which seems promising. If the owner keeps on working on it it could grow quite a bit again.

It's very much like eBay used to be when it started, where it just connects you with the email address of the other party and you're expected to arrange for payment/escrow/shipping yourselves. They claim to be working on an escrow service "soon", however. You can definitely list items with pictures and descriptions, and it supports English. I'm not aware of how good its international support is, and it may not have much of an audience that reads Chinese, but I don't know.

Hope this helps somewhat.

Tried bitcoinharbor, pretty good, but it seems will charge me 5% ?! It's insane! The bitcoin is such a low-cost payment tool, but it turns out much much expensive than traditional way of selling goods! What a shame!

If I sell goods on Taobao.com, You know how much will I be charged as a occasionally seller in the whole process to turn my secondhand goods into RMB cash? ZERO! yes, ZERO!

However, If I want to turn my goods into bitcoin, it cost me 5%! Even without the USD->BTC->USD exchange cost!

I started to hate some people talking that bitcoin is a low cost payment system, if we don't have a reliable low cost bitcoin ebay yet.

This is what bitcoinharbor said:

"Is there a fee to create a post?
Creating a post is completely free! If a Buyer chooses to purchase your item, the purchase price is subject to our transaction fees. Our current fee is 5% of the first 20 BTC plus 2% of any amount over that."

What is C2C stand for?

So, you are looking for ebay with bitcoins?

Yes, exactly. Have you try any of them? Forbitcoin.com is just full of ugly goods.
28  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Where should we sell our goods by accepting bitcoin easily and low-costly! on: October 04, 2011, 04:44:02 PM
I don't know why my post was deleted once, so I just repost it now. I was asking for recommendation of bitcoin C2C e-commerce service, like Ebay.

Yes, I posted in the market place sub forum, but it's cold there.

Please tell me, DO we have any serious, reliable, easy-to-go(for both learnt and new bitcoin users) bitcoin C2C e-commerce site I can use??

With such a convenient payment tool, it should be such a shame we don't have such a site to use!

I wanna sell some secondhand goods by accepting bitcoin, but I don't know which site is best I should choose. Please give me some suggestion.

I need to post some picture
I wanna paste some introduction
Escrow service
Wish it let the buyers pay bitcoin easily
collect the BTC fund\shipping address for me, and inform me by email if someone has paid
wish it upport Simple Chinese, but English only is also fine

I will promote the goods on BBS and twitter with together low price. So the user of the site is not really important, but it must be user-friendly in payment.

You must have tried the site yourself, I mean you have tried to done business on that site, not only have registered or viewed the site once a while.

30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to spread Bitcoin? By "forced" donation - Starcraft 2 on: October 04, 2011, 03:02:59 PM
Donation seems begging for sympathy.

A real man should forget about donation, just develop some service people will buy, like a small game, as successful as Angry Birds or Plants V.S Zombies, Then charge and only charge in bitcoin. This will do really good for bitcoin.
31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IMCEX.COM Bitcoin Exchange - about us on: October 04, 2011, 01:43:06 PM
It may turns out that doing Bitcoin exchange business in the legal form of an offshore company is very convenient, good idea! These kind of legal vehicle are used frequently in the PE investment in emergency market/stock market/tax saving situations.

If an Bitcoin exchange doing business in an onshore company, the value-add tax, the import and export tax maybe implied, and other regulations will be tough, too, like banking\security\KYC.

But whatever the legal form the exchange is, a totally open attitude with the WHO YOU ARE information and how you work everything out,  is absolutely needed. And everybody should make deep DD into them.
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IMCEX.COM Bitcoin Exchange - about us on: October 04, 2011, 03:54:01 AM
it is run by Imcex inc., company incorporated in Republic of Seychelles

This is the off-shore company, I guess it's only a holding company for the convenience of tax\fund transfer\financial structure.

You cannot run business legally without a registered company in Russia.

Where is your on-shore company?
