I think you need to go back to school and learn some Chemistry... Oh... sorry Chemistry are for nerds and non-Internet folks.

Go scam somewhere else you little festering pile of lingering bad odor

I don't believe even you are stupid enough to fall for this.

What happens for me if I mine on the unstable server is that cgminer eventually freezes and crashes.

So it's eu for me for now.

I wonder if I might as well just straight up mine doge though.

Most of my unexchanged and unmatured dissipated.

I guess because I was having all those drop-outs before

Looks like today might be a great payout once again.

Fantastic

Well I've bailed for now, no idea what was going up with my balance (or lack of)

My local hashrate is showing up as 2.8mh but my online stats have been fluctuating between 1.9 and 2.2. Has any one else been facing a similar issue?

My accepted shares look good too. Started it at 4pm est and only have a 1.4% rejection

Similar story for me too.

My immature coin level is not very high either (0.00096150)

What is the eu server? I'm using middlecoin.com:3333

eu.middlecoin.com
[2013-12-30 06:59:11] Failed to resolve (?wrong URL) eu.middlecoin.com:3333

My other failover pools don't seem to want to work either though, which is very weird

My Address is:  1G5MPBbmExwDMTN9ueoPNVyKScW5SwMfCg if anyone wants to have a look and tell me if things look weird or not

Is everything working alright?

I don't seem to be accumulating much at all since the last payout though my hashrate shows up fine. My balance is blank, though most other people around my hashrate (1.4Mh/s) have a tiny amount at least.

31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Pool][Profit-Switch][Optional Auto-Exchange per Coin][Vardiff] ~ Hashcows on: December 27, 2013, 06:51:41 AM
That's an amazing response!

Frankly if people have kept significant (>0.05) amounts of BTC in Hashcows for over 7 days it's very clearly their own fault. I think even a 7 day reimbursement is wonderfully generous.

Pools are not banks, that fact has been smashed into everyone's head.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: December 26, 2013, 11:57:58 AM
I think that if more people mine the same coin, it becomes less valuable because the market becomes saturated and therefore profits are reduced. (That's just my understanding of it, I'm not claiming to be an expert or anything)
If you go to page 1, even H2o says:

You should show the current mined coin.

Unfortunately I think that showing the current coin would make a bunch of people switch to mining that, lowering our profits.

I have toyed with the idea of giving coins aliases. I might do that.

If you can think of any ways to give miners more information, without spilling the beans on the coins, let me know.

So by this logic, more users = less profit, correct? or am I misunderstanding?
More hash rate to compete with us is what he meant.  If someone else is finding the blocks it does us no good
Another point is that hashcows and Middlecoin are probably both mining the same coin most of the time anyway

so them coming over here probably won't change things too much

Just in case anyone stumbles upon this thread in the future (I did in my googles since).

I figured out my password!!

All thanks to Revalin in this thread:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=85495.msg3748929#msg3748929

Make sure you scroll up and down a few posts to get the full story/instructions.

Hopefully this will help others locked out of their litecoin wallets.

Now to tattoo my password into my eyelid...
35  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Encrypted wallet.dat, lost password, any solutions? on: November 28, 2013, 11:37:50 AM
Holy crap it worked!

Thank you so much!

You know in the end it was only ONE of my passwords (~100 of those), nothing else- found it in about ten seconds.

I must've simplified it or something

I've sent you a tip. I don't actually have much so it's not heaps but hopefully something.

I hope this helps others in the future, you're a miracle worker Revalin!
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Encrypted wallet.dat, lost password, any solutions? on: November 28, 2013, 10:04:58 AM
Brilliant! Thank you very much for that Revalin!

Wow,7 is pretty intense- your script must be fast!

Unfortunately I still get the same error I did with the power-shell script.

I had a bit of trouble getting it to accept my rpc-password initially but once that was solved I get:

Code:

This is with litecoind
37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Encrypted wallet.dat, lost password, any solutions? on: November 28, 2013, 08:29:23 AM

I can't help with PowerShell, but several people have reported success using my scripts (the Ruby ones) with Litecoin.  The newer RPC scripts should work perfectly; the older ones running './bitcoind' in the test() function just need to be edited to say './litecoind', but I recommend the RPC method because it's much faster on Windows.

That's fantastic. Thank you very much for your help!

Is this the only one running  using RPC?

If so I'm not sure how to modify it to run the password cracking method I require.

Basically I need something that will test a combination of words I supply

I know my password is a mix of two of my other passwords. Possiblly with a space between them. I'm a bit worried though because I manually tried this last night and failed (400 attempts later)

It would be useful to test combinations of three (or more) as some of my passwords are combinations of smaller elements.

This bit looks promising?
Code:
lefts = [ "start", "Start", "Beginning" ] # The possible words for the left part
rights = ["end", "End", "ending"] # The possible words for the right part

Thank you eternally for any help you can render. I've installed ruby!

Would anyone please be able to help me get this script working with litecoin?

I mined some litecoins back in April and put a password on my wallet which I then forgot.

When I tried to use the script on my litecoin wallet it didn't work... It worked fine with my bitcoin wallet.

I tried messing around with the config file (adding allowed IP's), and changing ports and things in the actual powershell script.

Main problem seems to be connecting to the litecoin deamon. The Daemon also doesn't seem to run as smoothly as the bitcoin one.

Nothing seems to be working and I'm at a loss with what to do. I hope its not because I updated my litecoin client- I hadn't run it since april and when I fired it up again it said it wanted an update.

This is the error I get in powershell:

Code:

Does anyone have ideas, or maybe even just a nudge in the right direction?

Can I roll-back to the old litecoin wallet (as it was back in April?)

Hi Guys,

Back in April of this year I started mining litecoins and set a password on my Bitcoin and Litecoin wallets.

Unfortunately since I didn't use them or write down the password I eventually forgot.

Really stupid I know.

With the recent surge in Bitcoin prices I was spewing, but thanks to this useful script
