He is however right.
I support BTCZ, but NO ONE is saying what happened to that donation!
Just fucking come forward with the truth.
Was it stolen? Is it stored to be used later? Or what?
I'm really annoyed that it's been so quiet about it.
I will start spamming this thread until we get an answer. I will ask on every page what happened.
I fucking hate secrets.

Why is such an important thing to know? The 10 BTC belongs to an investor who has promised it to BTCZ.

Who did the ZM.EXE miner? We need to contact him to also update the miner.

So Renuzit, from what I understand your miner is the only one that does CPU mining, correct?

I believe ZM.EXE is DSTM. He said he needed 4 weeks to complete.

That is correct, ZHasher is the only known miner right now that can do CPU mining for ZHash.

I tested the following config against BitcoinZ's testnet and EWBF is rocking it pretty good. It supports BitcoinZ's flavor of Eh144,5. Just execute the following:

./miner --algo 144_5 --server mine-btcz-na.equipool.1ds.us --user tmWNpX6y9x4xFxg4NDkkajsVB4CxKx9sAgb.renuzit --pass x --port 49951 --pers BitcoinZ

I get about 32 Sol/s @ 140W with my 1070.

You can get EWBF here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4466962.0

The testnet is up for BitcoinZ BTCZ. You can test the 144,5 algo here (we call it ZHash). I'm glad it supports our personalization!

./miner --algo 144_5 --server mine-btcz-na.equipool.1ds.us --user tmWNpX6y9x4xFxg4NDkkajsVB4CxKx9sAgb.renuzit --pass x --port 49951 --pers BitcoinZ

We're going live with the algo change on Sunday, this couldn't have come at a better time!

Thank you very much for your hard work! Me and all LitecoinZ Team will test immediately the new miner on our testnet!

Any plans to release also a version for AMD GPUs?

Thanks again!
Mark

I have not worked with OpenCL for many years, so the answer is no, at least not now.

why i cant mine with 3gb cards? 192_7 is 2.9gb should be ok or no?

I did not test it on 3 GB cards, try it on cards without the display connected.

I have 6x1080. Started it, but its exiting with no error. Log doesnt have any error.
I tried the stock run.bat too.
Any Ideas?

what is output on the screen?

It's probably a windows 10 bug. During our testing of 144_5 requiring 2.6 GB of ram, we discovered that windows 10 will not allow you to fully allocate the amount of vram in a card due to a bug. Downgrading to Windows 7 or running in linux allowed it to work.

WORD OF ADVICE to BTCZ devs - don't wait to to make the change to ZHASH after ASICS drive up the difficulty or it will be an ugly transition. Just went through a week of hell with ETN making the algo change back to GPU and its still not quite right yet.... and has been very costly for the devs team to implement now.

The fork is already locked in. It's 1 week away.

Any information if BTCZ will still be mineable with 3gb 1060?

ZHash in its current state is able to mine BTCZ with 2.6GB of RAM which is less than 3GB. The 1060 3GB card is the lowest end card we want to support. As far as I know, as long as it is not being used as a video card by windows, then it should be able to mine.

Introducing ZHash, a new hashing algorithm with the goal of hardening the Equihash protocol to be more ASIC resistant. The ZHash algorithm works by increasing the hardware requirements of Equihash to make development of an ASIC appliance less viable. The goal of ZHash is to put GPU mining on a level playing field with ASICs and FPGAs as far as hashing rates and costs are concerned so that they do not get too much of an advantage.

On block 160,000 around June 15th ~ 16th BitcoinZ will fork to the ZHash algorithm to prevent ASIC miners on the network. Before the fork, all nodes and wallets should be updated to the latest version to help support the new algorithm.

List of things that have been released:

Still needed:
  • Optimized GPU miner for AMD
  • Testers

Let us know how you can help!

The ZHash algorithm is based on the Equihash 144,5 variant and was primarily based on the development of @tromp, The BitcoinZ project, and The ASIC Resistance consortium.

Hi developers!

Please explain us what makes the ZHash algorithm unique face to the Equihash-BTG algorithm announced by the BTG team?
https://forum.bitcoingold.org/t/our-new-equihash-equihash-btg/1512

As far as I see both teams will change from Equihash <200,9> parameters to Equihash <144,5> variant, which significantly decreases the threat of ASIC miners.

But why are these 2 names and what is the difference between ZHash / Equihash-BTG? Thanks for your explanation!

BitcoinZ: ASIC resistant coin with unique ZHash algorithm

BTG has changes to their headers as well as a different customization string from ZHash that makes it incompatible. The two projects also have no reason to make them compatible. We helped them get their miner working, so we know it's incompatible for now.

The point is I won't - this project has no team and no development made.

I think you are not following the news at all: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Zet6Qh7RYE

There is tremendous amount of activity on Discord and Slack. I dont understand why they dont come here on this forum. I guess the young new crypto generation who started after 2017 thinks this forum is a bit for old people lol.

Yup, you're right. I really don't like this website. It's 2018, surely we can come up with a better crypto website by now. And it's true! Most of the devs live on discord.

Most of the ppl just sold their BTCZ and moved on... that is what I did and I am glad sold for 30/29 so If I want I can rebuy with 10% gain.

The point is I won't - this project has no team and no development made.

All the talks about exchanges (get 1 - once extrades is off CMC this coin will go down big time), Hash power is dropping as it is not profitable to mine it and PoW is current algorithm - if somebody wants to do 51% it will cost him not much to rent enough power .. this coin is not safe).

I am waiting for Zhash what will be a copy of ZEC algorithm with changed parameters but as far as I know it wont be asic resistant so lets see.

For not it is not safe, not asic resistant and not profitable to mine so PoW will die soon. No progress on code development not future integrations with serious players.

Just another 1xxxx COINx

BTW

Even LTCz is making bigger development:)

LTCz and BTCz is the same team (more or less) by the looks of things. By the way, you are correct in all your above stated facts.

Yes, ZHash is an equihash variant, but nothing is really wrong with equihash. The original devs chose weaker settings, so we increased the memory consumption and 10x the costs to make an ASIC. You guys just need to just leave the hashing algorithms to the experts.

Also, as much as LTCZ would like you to believe we share teams, this is a totally false statement. As far as I know and understand, they are just riding our coattails.
