21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is 311023 the biggest block ever found? on: July 16, 2014, 04:58:54 PM
Speaking of the largest block. what is the smallest block with the least transactions within a year? I mean there has to be a block with maybe like 50 transactions right?

That would be block 310853.
1 transaction 25 BTC reward.
22  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What happened at block 310853. Somebody get lucky in Montreal? on: July 16, 2014, 02:16:29 PM
You do realize that it's KnC finding those blocks, right?  It's not some rich yahoo in the great white north solo-mining with a few petahash... well, I guess if you consider Sweden the great white north and KnC is certainly a couple rich yahoos... lol.

Actually it came from stratum. Btcguild.com hosted in Montreal.
http://www.iplocationfinder.com/stratum.btcguild.com

The loot went to
https://blockchain.info/address/1H1sq6Msgt9HjRrBuz8ieZdThzWXS6oPVA

When it first came out it showed 102% of network hash.

Name Server: GINA.NS.CLOUDFLARE.COM
Name Server: JOSH.NS.CLOUDFLARE.COM

Are also owned by Btcguild.

Is it possible to hijack a large cloud and make it do, sha 256 for a minute?

Is this the first time, is it legit? 1 transaction 25 BTC reward.
24  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: *** GHash.IO mining pool official page *** on: July 10, 2014, 06:36:32 AM

The Bitcoin protocol has a weakness with the 51% issue, having the market players discuss it as an industry is the way to find a long term solution.

You might becorrect. You might not be correct. We have no way of knowing, because GHash.IO is less transparent than many other pools.

The problem is the sickness of greed. Sooner or later an entity will overtly or secretly gain 51% for greedy purposes.

Perhaps, after getting 2 blocks in a row, if the same entity gets a third block; that block is given to, a random mining entity, that has never gotten a block.
Could something like that decentralize enough ?

That explorer adds the genesis block in the total, even though they are unusable

Now at 2017 Huh   http://mmxiv.blockexplorer.cc/chain/MMXIV
What is the genesis block? How many genesis blocks are there?
So 2014coin will not have 2014 coins?

Total coins: 2014 MMXIV Coins       Grin

Now at 2015 Huh  http://mmxiv.blockexplorer.cc/chain/MMXIV
27  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Vertical vs Horizontal orientation of Antminer S1 on: June 12, 2014, 12:32:03 AM
I have mine mounted vertically in my garage....so far this summer the miners have never gotten hotter than 47C

Wouldn't the heat from the power supplies have a tendency to go toward the miner's fan?
28  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN]ASICMiner Publicly Looking for Potential Customers/Partners for New Chips on: June 07, 2014, 02:35:29 AM
Will these chips ever be available to the public; in reasonable quantities ?
I'm sure www.digikey.com/ or www.jameco.com and others, could sell a fair number.
Any resellers planned for this summer ?
29  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: *** GHash.IO mining pool official page *** on: June 06, 2014, 05:31:43 AM
Had to jump this pool finally. Constant disconnects as very low hash rates. When back to the Guild where things are much more stready and i don't don't get dropped on a daily basis. The Ghash has serious  issues.

Same here just too many disconnects, then it takes forever to get back up to speed.
30  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: East Canada miners on: May 22, 2014, 04:29:00 AM
If you can find.

1. A commercial lease that has electricity included.
2. Several 15 amp circuits. ( I figure 1TH/s per circuit.)

I'm in !

Our residential lease, electricity included; could hold 4Th/s (if nobody lived here), at a cost of $200 per TH/s.

I see it has become an unconfirmed transaction

6c9bebf79bedd1bf97f135a4f4ab9e804748c3e1cd197e353bd2257b83ab4f8e        transaction time 2014-05-04 06:09:20

and           1Bunnyj1rg8XPcppeoNZQCQbkHuAgq6C3G 0.10076304 BTC

What happens to transactions that never get confirmed?

32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Slow transaction a day later on: May 07, 2014, 12:14:22 AM
The last transaction passed.

But the 0.00000001 BTC I received from    1Dm6B4FDUSYqcgq8YZ1V27siNy3NuHg4Dc is a mystery

Transaction details:
Status: conflicted
Date: 4/14/2014 10:44
Credit: 0.00000001 BTC
Net amount: +0.00000001 BTC

I looked at the transaction several times on blockchain.info, I should of saved it on "wayback machine" ; because now the page is changed.
Only after I made the first post, the web pages changed.

This transaction has disappeared also.

Status: conflicted

To: 1Bunnyj1rg8XPcppeoNZQCQbkHuAgq6C3G
Debit: -0.10076304 BTC

33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Slow transaction a day later on: May 06, 2014, 03:22:40 AM
Hello

What happens when a transaction get stuck?
_https://blockchain.info/tx/6c9bebf79bedd1bf97f135a4f4ab9e804748c3e1cd197e353bd2257b83ab4f8e

Been waiting, made the transaction 03-05-2014 But it shows 04-05-2014.

What the longest a transaction can take and can it stuck forever?

 Shocked

Why have I got 3 transaction errors in my bitcoin wallet?

4/14/2014 I received .00000001 with error from 1Dm6B4FDUSYqcgq8YZ1V27siNy3NuHg4Dc
transaction ID a5c0c98115d3e6895dc90ba7b4a7a22b3b0462023ab97c7fe25dbb71f0877dd1-000
It says conflicted in the wallet transactions tab

5/3/2014 I sent to 1Bunnyj1rg8XPcppeoNZQCQbkHuAgq6C3G
transaction ID  6c9bebf79bedd1bf97f135a4f4ab9e804748c3e1cd197e353bd2257b83ab4f8e-000
It says conflicted in the wallet transactions tab

Sent 18JbSq3GBM745HBaVoQL1UooiGECYTmxyZ  on April 6 But it says sent on 05/03/2014 same time as previous transaction.

guiminer and deepbit seem to be working fine for me now,
what sort of problems are you getting

When I am on page    http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=3878.0

I click on [  guiminer-20110521.exe (self-extracting archive) ]
I get a 500 internal server error page.
if I try save link as, it saves as a html 500 error page, even if I try to save as all files.
Same thing on all the 4 computers i have here.

I thought the , https//githuib site was down. I get a 500 server error if I try to navigate to the github site.
Must be something else if you can get the site and the download.

I noticed while using stumble upon It brings up pages from github.com. Any idea why github always gives me a 500 error?
Same thing on 4 computers here. Maybe it has to do with https Huh

So I'm still working on this 500 error.
I called my provider thinking it must be a problem on my side , seeing that nobody else has the problem.
They think it may be a problem with the dns server.
The tech support had no problem connecting to the site.
The guy lent me his dns server , thinking a may be able to get on the site, to retrieve the GUI program.

I still have the 500 error, even with my dns server changed.

I am using xp 64 with firefox , opera , explorer, always the same 500 error.
My other machines have xp 32 same problems in any browser.

Any ideas? or can someone put up the .exe somewhere else?

Thanks

Hello

I got my bitcoin wallet to work. Would like to mine using my gpu. 4 days now still haven't managed to get any program to work properly.
Is there anyway that GUI program will ever be back online. The Github site has been down for 4 days I doubt it's coming back up any time soon.
Does anybody have a copy of the file? Could you post it somewhere.
I'm presently using a quad core intel with a nvidia 9500GT.
