21  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Selling World of Warcraft: Cataclysm activation key for 1.5 BTC on: June 05, 2011, 03:56:58 AM
Friend gave me a World of Warcraft: Cataclysm activation key for Christmas that I never used (gave up that addiction years ago). If anyone is interested I'll sell it for 1 BTC.

Thanks

After some more feedback I've decided to drop the whole 7 day average of BTC in my conversion formula. The price keeps going up right now and if I stick to the average it makes more sense for someone interested to just sell their BTC and buy game time cards.

So now the conversion rate will be determined at time of exchange based on MtGox sell price.

After receiving some feedback from interested parties I've updated the post to show what I'm basing my conversion formula on. I'm using the historical data feed of MtGox transactions provided by bitcoincharts.com and storing it in this Google Spreadsheet.

The detail tab in the spreadsheet has the exact data from the bitcoincharts feed. The summary tab shows the daily and 7 day averages for BTC to USD and PLEX from Jita along with my current exchange rate for BTC per PLEX and BTC per Million ISK. I'll be updating this spreadsheet daily with the averages of the prior date.

As a bonus, a multiplier has been added to give you more ISK for each BTC you spend.

Thanks.
24  Other / Obsolete (selling) / ====>Eve Online 0.0019BTC/million ISK or 538M ISK/BTC or 0.72BTC/PLEX<==== on: June 03, 2011, 01:32:29 PM
I've been trading in EVE Online for several years and have built up a decent NAV. I'm primarily interested in selling ISK, but can look into getting pretty much anything from the EVE economy in exchange for BTC. I have around 6 billion ISK liquid right now, but more can be made available if needed.

Updated conversion formula. Now using current sale price of USD per BTC from MtGox at time exchange is made.

Reply here or PM me if interested in a trade.

Exchange Rate @ 20.2501USD per BTC
BTC per PLEX:               0.719955 based on 17.495/(20.2501USD *1.2)
BTC per Million ISK:        0.001858 based on 0.719955/387.506
Millions ISK PER BTC:  538 based on 1/0.001858

Formula
BTC per PLEX:[PLEX in USD]/([Current BTC to USD]*[Bonus Multiplier])
BTC per Million ISK: [BTC per PLEX]/([7 Day PLEX average]/[1,000,000])
Millions ISK PER BTC: 1/[BTC per Million ISK]

Values Used
Current BTC to USD: 20.2501USD
PLEX to USD: 17.495
7 Day PLEX Average: 387.506
Bonus Multiplier: 20%

Do you have it overclocked? If yes, What software are you using?

No overclocking involved, everything is stock.

I got my issues with the 4870x2 resolved by updating to catalyst 11.5, but now my cores aren't processing as fast. One is in the mid 80's other is in the mid 50's. Any idea why the cores are running at different rates?

Guess it was a driver issue. Updated drivers to Catalyst 11.5 and the kernel errors went away as well as more frequent accepted shares along with almost all the rejected shares.

Now only problem is that one core gets about 83-84 Mhash/sec, while second one only gets 54-55 Mhash/sec. I think before when I was having problems, both cores ran at around 80 Mhash/sec. Any ideas on this or should I start a new topic?

I've been having problems getting any gpu miner to work consistently with my 4870x2, so I'm cross posting my tech support post here since most of my tries have been with Phoenix.

Basically I get a lot of "Kernel error: Unusual behavior from OpenCL. Hardware problem?" errors along with a high rate of rejected shares. Catalyst A.I. is disabled and I've tried both poclbm and phatk kernels. Can anyone take a look at the above post to see if they can help me?

Not able to mine consistently on my 4870x2 using sdk 2.4. with deepbit pool.
Tried GUIMiner, but within a few min both cores shut down with an error message saying "verification failed, check hardware". Read that Pheonix continues hashing after error is found, but it too gives me an error "Kernel error: Unusual behavior from OpenCL. Hardware problem?". Even though it contintues to process, the error shows up quite frequently.

Here are the things I've tried so far, to no avail.
1. Checked "Disable Catalyst A.I." under ccc 3d settings
2. Ran phoenix from two seperate dir's
3. Unplugged second monitor, so that second dvi port has dummy plug in it
4. Tried running phoenix with poclbm and phatk kernals
5. Tried reducing workload and agression parms

Results over a 5 hour period running on one core only with these parms.
phoenix -u http://user@host:pass@deepbit.net:8332 -k poclbm DEVICE=1 VECTORS AGGRESSION=3 WORKSIZE=128
- 20 accapted shares
- 10 rejected shares
- Kernel error popping up several times an hour, though there was an hour and a half stretch without error
- Phoenix Log shows "LP: New work pushed" every three to five minutes, but a result accepted or rejected message sparadically. Sometimes response comes every 5 mintues, sometimes once an hour, and other times several responses within a few seconds.

Full log is here
http://pastebin.com/eVS4P5pE

Can anyone offer any advice on what I can try to make this work properly?
