21  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion to require payment for users to rank up beyond member on: April 23, 2018, 03:02:02 PM
Here is what I feel about this suggestion:

1) There are already some forums in IM niche which have implemented this. By paying a certain annual fee, you get a  special rank and access to some additional features and sections.  That feature is optional and only 1% or less upgrade.

2) There was  a forum which introduced the requirements of $1 for any further registrations. In very short time, they realized that traffic is affected due to reduced activity and they had to take back the decision.

There is no harm in trying though.
22  Other / Meta / Re: I am flabbergasted that it actually happens on this scale on: April 23, 2018, 02:56:58 PM
Some of these guys are making millions from Steemit, Facebook, Linkdin, Twitter, YouTube, BitcoinTalk and other social media platforms. They are scamming surfers, and making conventional advertising ineffective, and even damaging in some cases. Bitcoin is starting to achieve respectability, and is preparing itself for a great growth period in my opinion, and Bitcoin Talk could grow with it. It needs to realise the tremendous future that it can join, but it has to free itself from the cesspit of the current scams and frauds first.

You should erase Facebook from that list. That is not a good option for spammers anymore as they are becoming very strict with multiple accounts. Some of my friends who used to sell aged accounts are out of business now as their stock is disabled. Smiley

Regarding this forum, it is shame that people boast of cheating. Those bounties should have stricter requirements in my opinion. Admin has to make a balance between abuse control and user experience though.
23  Other / Meta / Re: Merit source on: April 23, 2018, 02:53:20 PM
You yourself couldn't earn more than 9 Merits in 3 months or so, and you are hoping to become a Merit source to reward and help others in this regard.  Roll Eyes
Maybe we could understand this better if you could simply say that you have some children (low ranked accounts) to feed and you can't do it like that because you are disabled (not constructive/helpful), and now you are asking for a never-ending donation (Merit Source) to be able to feed them (the accounts) without any hurdles.  Roll Eyes
I can be wrong, but it just feels like that when someone like you stands up for a position like that. Because if it was that much easy to become a Merit Source, I think there would have been more Merit Sources than the spammers themselves by now.

I do not think that it is the only and the correct criteria for selecting merit source. Some people might not be able to contribute much content here but can evaluate post made by other people. That is why admin has not mentioned any requirements of merit points while applying for the post of merit source.

This case is not very strong though as OP is not aware about the declaration admin made for applying and knowledge of forum rules is a must for this position.
24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The FALL OF BITCOIN on: April 23, 2018, 02:47:11 PM
Any investor investing in bitcoin knows that they should always have in mind that the possibility of bitcoin prices goes both ways and not just one. It will either go up or it will go back to zero. No one knows for sure what will happen which is why people are advised to always invest with money which they can afford to lose and never use money which they would need immediately or in the near future.

One of the major issues with Bitcoins is the price fluctuations. Sometime it has dropped by 20-30 % in single day. This can be stressful for the investors. Usually, the new investors worry because of this behavior. The reason behind this is that they come to bitcoins after hearing stories of people becoming millionaires with their investments. When they see that prices can go down as well, all their hopes are shattered. It is thus advised to start with small amount first.
25  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Hackable? on: April 23, 2018, 02:45:27 PM
In my opinion bitcoin can be hacked. Because in 2011, hacking activities have cost tens of millions of dollars. Over the years, many attacks on Bitcoin have caused huge losses to investors.

Bitcoin is not hackable, the exchanges were hacked. See there are both pros and cons with bitcoins. Pros are that it is anonymous, less fess, no banks involved. Cons are like safety issues and slow transaction speed.

Now that we have discussed the pros and cons of Bitcoins  you can make the correct decision regarding Bitcoin investment after evaluating these. One thing that I strongly recommend is staying away from options like loan for investing in Bitcoin.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins that might survive in the future? on: April 23, 2018, 02:41:01 PM
My opinion is dogecoin and eth although now eth is being pump i always hope the best for eth

In addition to these, dash is also a good option. Dash was originally known as Darkcoin. It is different from Bitcoin in one aspect, it offers more anonymity. Evan Duffeld is the person behind this coin and uses social media sites for promoting his coin. A lot of people have invested in Dash because of its unique features and have also made decent profit with it. It is recommended by a lot of people in crypto related forums.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All Alt Coins are a scam. on: April 23, 2018, 02:38:31 PM
All are not scam, we have coins like monero with unique feature of anonymity. Thus, as people start to understand the importance of online privacy, Monero is expected to become more popular.

Another primary benefit of Monero is that mining it is also very easy. There is no need of special hardware for mining Monero. For instance, Application Integrated Specific Circuits are not required for mining Monero. It does not even require mining pools.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: altcoins for 2-3 years holding! on: April 23, 2018, 02:37:50 PM
I am holding ethereum, byteball, digibyte, monero and ripple at a moment as I feel there will me massive rise in the price in next year and holding even longer can be more profitable.

Among these I have monero. Monero has the advantage over Bitcoins that the transactions in Monero are completely anonymous. In case of Bitcoins, every transaction is recorded and thus one can see transactions made on a Bitcoin address. Monero has solved this issue and is thus loved by people who love anonymity. Some people think that Bitcoin transactions are also anonymous but research has shown that these transactions can be traced by checking cookies.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why altcoin is better than bitcoin? on: April 23, 2018, 02:34:10 PM
altcoin which has a perspective, can multiply the funds invested by me several times, which can not be said about bitcoin, maybe that's why altcoin is better

In 2017 Bitcoin investors made decent returns on their investment. The price of Bitcoins reached to about $18000 and then went back to $13000. A number of alt coins also came into market and are gaining popularity among the people. Some people suggest that one should opt for top 10 alt coins only. This is not a solid advice because if you want 50-100 times of the investment, you have to pick coins in early stages.
30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So why is the price of bitcoin going up so crazy? on: April 23, 2018, 02:21:47 PM
The biggest reason for the growth of Bitcoin is obviously the increased popularity that the virtual currency got basically everywhere.

If you spend time on popular internet forums, you must have heard about Bitcoins. There are stories of people becoming millionaires by investing in Bitcoins. As of April 2018, the price of Bitcoins has already reached about $8000. It is expected that the price will rise continuously over the next few years as well.

However, there had been recent dips in prices as well which stressed the existing investors. Even then if we compare it to options like bank deposits, bitcoin is clear winner.
31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin digital gold? on: April 23, 2018, 02:20:34 PM
I believe in bitcoin. It is traditional usd or gold in cryptocurrency and it will be used for a very long time.

It is obvious that if something is limited, it becomes more valuable. This will ensure that the price will only rise with time. The existing investors holding Bitcoins can be assured of the fact that they have made the right decision by investing in Bitcoins instead of other options like gold.

There are still lot of gold reserves and new ones are also being explored. So if we compare supply wise, bitcoins has more limited supply than gold.
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What gives Bitcoin its value? on: April 23, 2018, 02:19:12 PM
What gives Bitcoin its value?

I think the people who believe Bitcoin gave value to it. Just like art pieces, it will be valuable according how much people believe in it.

People believe and used bitcoins only because it has got some unique advantages. For instance, let us compare the fees in case of bitcoin and PayPal. Bitcoins have less transaction fees as compared to other payment systems like card payments and PayPal. This is another reason behind the increasing acceptance and popularity of Bitcoins.

I heard that PayPal is going to increase its fees even more which will push the prices of bitcoins even higher.
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Four factors driving the price of Bitcoin on: April 23, 2018, 02:17:40 PM
I strongly believe that at least one of the things keeping BTC of growing even bigger is the general lack of knowledge about cryptocurrencies, there should be an even bigger effort to increase awareness.

There are some other factors as well that limits its growth. For instance, as a buyer I do not like one particular feature of bitcoins and that there are no charge backs allowed.  Bitcoin transactions are not reversible; this means that any transaction cannot be reversed. This means that if you have sent Bitcoins to a wrong address, it cannot be sent back. On the other hand payments like credit card transactions can be reversed.
34  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins for illegal activity on: April 23, 2018, 02:14:39 PM
This is the bad side for bitcoin. Some people are used bitcoin for illegal activity, because its very easy for buying drug ,transfer and other things. That's so harmful. That's not mean that all men used it for illegal activity.

Because of illegal use some governments are banning bitcoins and investors suffer. There are safety issues with bitcoins as well. A lot of people all over the world have lost their Bitcoins due to a number of reasons like hacking or phone getting stolen. All the Bitcoins are stored digitally and thus it is easy for hackers to hack your account and then transfer the holdings to their own account. Even reporting this to police will not help as these transactions cannot be reversed.
35  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as new hope for humanity on: April 23, 2018, 02:13:00 PM
Yes really true bitcoin gave me chances to survive my other finances through extra income on it and having my stable job as an employee. It changes me how to manage my money and and make more savings by working on crypto.

With Bitcoins people have become successful in doubling or tripling their investment in few months. No other form of investment can give this much return at all. Some of the people who invested in Bitcoins at the time of launch were able to get 10-20 times of their initial investment in few years.

I had not made that much money because I started quite late but I am still hopeful about future. I am sure that it will give at least 10 times better returns than bank deposits.
36  Economy / Economics / Re: Study says being rich is determined by chance rather than intelligence or talent on: April 22, 2018, 03:20:58 PM
To be rich in short time, you just need to invest your money wisely. Some beginners make the mistake of investing money only to realize a few years later that those funds are needed somewhere else. Consider the time frame of each and every investment you make. Few advisors will recommend touching money in the stock market before five years is up, but a money market account or certificates of deposit can turn around quicker than that.

I do not think this requires any luck, it comes with experience.
37  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is bitcoin better than stocks, real-estate? on: April 22, 2018, 03:18:56 PM
Real estate still got much potential if you can spot the right property. Ultimately, the right investment property is the one that will generate the most money while not costing you an arm and a leg to get up to speed and run. Getting a property ready to rent may involve renovation to bring a building up to code – adding up-to-date appliances and such. It may involve a new coat of paint, or even evicting some undesirable tenants. What the potential new buyer has to determine is, if the building's problems are fixable.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have $150 Ethereum. How can I grow/increase this amount? on: April 22, 2018, 03:11:13 PM
Dear expert money maker members,
I have $170 Ethereum as now rates. How can I grow/increase my dollar?
Someone recommend for invest in ICO progream. But I dont know very well about ICO.
Can you tell me What is ICO? And should I invest this?

You cannot do anything to increase its price. Just be patient and it will grow on its own  with time. Also, consider investing more money as it is not possible to get good returns with such a small investment in crypto.

If you have got money less than $500 or so, it would be better if you go for small coins like ripple. For $500, you will get about 500 ripple coins that can e worth $5000 in next one year.  Regarding ICO investment, read the whitepaper and learn about developers before investing.
39  Economy / Economics / Re: The best way to manage free money on: April 22, 2018, 03:08:17 PM
You know the majority belongs to a group which is just dependent on monthly income and is not interested in any investing at all.

This group doesn't know what to do so they don't do anything. While it means they likely won't lose any money on investments, it also means they will have to earn a whole lot of money for a very long time to ever reach their wealth goals. They do not let their money work for them and it just remains idle sitting in their bank accounts. Leave crypto, they do not consider even stocks.
40  Economy / Economics / Re: What's more important when starting a business, Big Idea or Big Capital? on: April 22, 2018, 03:00:41 PM
Before I unveil the success formula let us first take a quick look at the latest statistics about new businesses started and their success rates . To make it short only 18 out of the top hundred businesses survive and 82% fail in their dream project.

I think that for a business to be successful, one has to look after all aspects equally. There is so much competition today that you cannot afford to ignore anything be it capital or idea. If still I had to choose one, between the two, I would go for big idea.
