i was wondering....

where do i change it so i can have screen running as well as echo the output to the monitor as a status, i know there's a switch to echo the miners output to a com port etc.. but the pi has a small rca driven monitor slapped to the front of the rack.

just would like to walk by and see what’s it doing at a glance instead of having to login to the pi via ssh or http (still cant login via http on the ps3 (for ultimate laziness)).

thats all, any solutions to those two options (output redirection or autologin) would be great from any of you guys here.

i know i broke something... but i did a dd write with the new image downloaded image and well i have no info on the main page like i used to, and i suspect its a permissions issue, but its running from the conf in the /var/www/minera directory but not my user directory.

just did a manual update with git (which always works best for me)
still nothing Sad

i can wait till 6.0

it is mining though just not pulling any data for the webpage. (i miss the pretty graphs and logs)

wow it keeps randomly crashing.... so i went into the bin folder and tried to launch cgminer by itself in screen, and got this.

 [2015-03-13 20:51:57] Started cgminer 3.1.1
 [2015-03-13 20:51:57] Loaded configuration file /root/.cgminer/cgminer.conf
[2015-03-13 20:51:57] All devices disabled, cannot mine!

(i do have a *.conf there because it usually ran with root privileges)

dmaxl fires up but i get

[2015-03-13 20:56:24] Started cgminer 4.3.5
 [2015-03-13 20:56:24] Loaded configuration file /root/.cgminer/cgminer.conf
[2015-03-13 20:56:24] Error in configuration file, partially loaded.
[2015-03-13 20:56:24] Start cgminer with -T to see what failed to load.

bfgminer doesn't find any devices

(no devices)
[Plus] Add device(s)  [Enter] Close device manager
No new devices found

ok this weird i post the earlier post thinking the sudo was the issue... but any time i change the pools while in screen via ssh it will crash shortly after. the web page is too slow for me and i have to always redo the gridseed override command from my browsers drop down history, thats why i use ssh. the log history is growing, and doesn't look like it going quit, lol, i do like the history but with all the tarballs and php's its left 45mb on my 4gb card... lmao

going to delete those logs except for a handful of recent files, and see if it just needed some breathing room

No its mining.... I see stats on the pools I use.  and I see the 360 minutes rotation.  But I think I need to sudo screen -r

yep that was it... I haven't used the Web interface in forever.  usually me being a creature of habit I just hit up arrow twice and hit enter.  TOTALLY forgetting that I just updated to 4.1 (the hard way) and that 'run as super user' was checked.

no every is cool lol

The only thing I use screen for is to disable pools I don't want to mine on and to adjust the rotation times, but keep them in the list. since I can't do that with the Web interface (hint for a added feature, lol)
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Minera v0.4.1] Your next mining dashboard is here. CPUminer/CGminer/BFGminer. on: March 12, 2015, 10:41:45 AM
Well with screen -r it just says no screen to attach to.... at work now it won't be till 5.30 today till I get home.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Minera v0.4.1] Your next mining dashboard is here. CPUminer/CGminer/BFGminer. on: March 12, 2015, 10:37:09 AM
Did you get rid of screen?

it updated yesterday and now when I ssh in I can't type screen -r and get the miner... With neither of the of the miners (bfg, cg, etc), they run ok though.

WAIT, think I know what I'm doing wrong, I'll check it when I get back home today.

Hey, is the source updated to compile on linux?
the one i compiled comes up as 1.6.0 and just hangs on those check points, NOT to mention the size of the blockchain. lol
