In my opinion, Cardano is a good choice for long-term investment. One of the first reasons why Cardano is becoming more and more popular revolves around its smart contract platform. The crypto is using Ouroboros, a proof-of-stake algorithm, which is one of its newest, and probably best editions. It would seem that Cardano’s developers are pretty confident about this algorithm, and they believe that it can easily handle pretty much any threat to the blockchain.

I prefer Litecoin to Bitcoin. One of the main differences between Bitcoin and Litecoin concerns the total number of coins which each cryptocurrency can produce. The Bitcoin network can never exceed 21 million coins, whereas Litecoin can accommodate up to 84 million coins.

I appreciate of NEO. It has an extremely credible and active development team with both in-house developers and various third-party developers such as City of Zion, NEOtracker and PeterLinX. One of the NEO’s strengths is its large community of third-party developers. Hongfei has said that the NEO in-house team will be focusing on developing the platform, while the development of DAPPs (decentralized apps) will be left to the community.

You had better invest in Verge. As far as I know, Verge has built a partnership with TokenPay and a German bank. According to the publication, TokenPay have signed a deal that will allow people to spend their Verge coins on a pre-paid debit card. This could be really important for the ongoing value of XVG, as it will have a real-world usage, making it more valuable.

From my point of view, TRON is a good investment in 2018. Many were shocked when the founder of Tron (TRX), Justin Sun, announced that by the end of March 2018, Tron (TRX) that are not in circulation will be burned. This commitment was fulfilled. I understand based on the performance history of most coins, that the smaller in number there are, the higher their tendency to increase in value when there is a high demand for it. The return of investors placing high hopes in the coin once again will lead to an increase in its demand, which will also lead to increase in its value.

I think one of the most promissing ICOs is ATF. This ICO has many signs of a killer deal. The company and product are already set up, so it’s not a gamble to see whether they can build what they promise, they’re past that point. These are not dreamers but serious businessmen.

I am holding EOS. Perhaps what may make this crypto gain faster traction is its “best of both” Ethereum and Bitcoin tag. It’s a highly scalable platform, and transactions are faster and cheaper. The platform also diversifies by providing cloud storage and server hosting. If you are looking for a coin to add to your portfolio, then EOS’ price movement indicates it's one to watch in 2018.

Having listed the positives you can think of, give thanks for the current situation as well as the things that you already have. For one, things could be a lot more worse. It won’t be easy to be thankful in the face of harsh challenges, but focusing on what you do have, instead of what you have lost, will put you in a better position to solve problems on hands than being in a self-pity and sorrowful state.

One of major reasons why investors look confident about Ethereum is that unlike Bitcoin, Ethereum blockchain has multiple applications beyond just trading Ether coins. Last year, we saw how Ethereum blockchain provided the platform for many new startups to initiate ICOs.

I think NEO is better than ETH. NEO’s technology is more developer-friendly. The platform supports multiple programming languages. Ethereum, by contrast, only supports one language, Solidity. This restricts many average developers from using the platform unless they learn the language.

Any investment comes with its share of risk, unless you diversify, at this moment, both Bitcoin and Ether are worth putting some money into for some speculative fun, if you can stomach the volatility and afford possible heavy losses. Bitcoin was the leader and the biggest value it brought is the technology behind it. Ethereum on the other hand, is telling you - when you got lemons, why won’t you add some alcohol inside and make yourself a nice cocktail.

In my opinion, Coinbase is a good gateway into cryptocurrency, especially if it is your first time buying. The interface is very clean, making it easy to make your first purchase of Bitcoin, Litecoin or Ethereum. In addition, Coinbase lets customers from the USA, Canada, UK, Europe, Singapore, and Australia buy with a credit card or bank account.

BCH has faster transfer times. So, you don’t have to wait the 10 minutes it takes to verify a Bitcoin transaction. Moreover, BCH can handle more transactions per second. This means that more people can use BCH at the same time than they can with BTC.

Ripple is always my favorite coin. Ripple enables faster, frictionless and efficient money transfers and cross-border payments at a fraction of the current costs. The current payment system is plagued with lot of inefficiencies like failed transfers, slow payments, third party intermediaries and higher costs. Ripple intends to provide answers to all these glaring inefficiencies in the Banking system.

Cutting out one indulgence — such as the chips you have with lunch or the chocolate dessert you eat after dinner — can subtract a few hundred calories from your diet, which translates into less flab, says Blum. "Your body won't even notice their absence".
