Haven't followed doge in a while. I know about the merged mining but is there any plan to cap total coin supply? Its whats killing the coins over all value. It otherwise a great coin with a great community.
How do you secure the network if you cap the coin? How many new successful coins are capped these days?  In the short run Bitcoin & Litecoin has a higher supply inflation rate that Doge. Dogecoin Bitcoin Litecoin 2015 5.26% 10% 33.33% 2016 5% 9.09% 12.5% 2017 4.76% 4.1% 11.11% 2018 4.54% 4% 10% 2019 4.35% 3.85% 9.09% 2020 4.2% 3.7% 4.1% What if Dogecoin switched to a proof of stake method(POS) system with a smaller inflation rate? Then all of the community could secure the coin & benefit by earning extra Doge by Staking instead of miners dumping it for BTC and other coins.  |

Yea, were doing well and just taking time away from battling the fudders to get the projects released. The OS is nearly done and just waiting on a few minor tweaks. The apps guy just keeps adding new features while we wait. So really the time isn't being wasted at all. Were getting lots done and were excited to deliver to you guys.

All we've heard is that it's in Beta testing. Adding key features & Beta testing takes time. Why the rush? Better to have something functioning well than some that's not. Right? Here is where Monday is mentioned. Ok, i've just completed my conversation with coinsource and they declared that the fud was indeed false, no foul play on the dev team. We're moving forward with things, I'm getting Encrypted messaging completed for a monday implementation, website is being updated both graphics and content, decentralized anon is growing closer to completion every day. I am not walking away, I am still holding all of my key and i plan to buy more (that 54 btc wall was mine) Thanks for all the support everyone!

KeyOS beta testing is nearly ready and we are also building an encrypted messaging system, while standing strong to the constant attacks on morale. We are all still working hard, as of today there are currently twelve people actively working on the project.
We will wait for the FUD to die down, or create a new moderated thread with an updated ANN soon before we post any major updates. A project roadmap and description of each team member's role in the project will follow.

So you think a bit a of a delay is them not fulfilling promises? Don't know if you noticed, but there were constant FUD attacks going on for several days in this thread and the unnecessary drama caused by Coinssource. These things alone caused a pretty big hit on morale and motivation. I'd say the small delay is justified, considering the circumstances. Read the last post from keycoin... They're going to wait for the FUD to die down to post an update? What does that mean? We're waiting for the coin to floor before we release more info? Last Sunday was very quiet too. Then on Monday everything started to move. So tomorrow will be the real test. I understand why deadlines are not met. Especially in programming new software applications. It's a lot of work and time. It can be very psychologically challenging too. It's important to let the developers know that they are appreciated and tell them that they are doing a good Job. I also understand that a lack of transparent communications makes it tough for investors. It's better to share some of the technical challenges that need to be worked out and let everyone know that it will take more time to figure it out, rather than very little or nothing at all. This would allow other programers and technical people to contribute and help solve the problems in less time. This is a more humble approach, but success comes with humility. We can't do it all on our own. Interdependence is how empires are built. Two things could happen this week. Keycoin has an all time high. Or a lack of faith with all parties weakens the progress of development. The lead developers belief and psychologically state to push through the hard times is really the biggest challenge & obstacle. Bringing in good investors and a good Return on Investment are only symptoms of the strength & commitment of the development team. But a strong community that stands by their developers will help feed their strength and commitment. Belief is a very powerful thing. Faith is Key. Without it, success will be more than difficult. Yes, I believe that Keycoin still has amazing opportunity and I am hoping for the best.  |

Oh wow, looks like every Fudder in the history of keycoin's 4 week existence is here to take a stab. To people who are not aware, these guys have been proven wrong over and over again. Do your research before selling your coins cheap.
+1, you are right, this guys have been proven wrong over and over, just take a look at their history, cinni, dope, crypt, etc etc, and now keycoin too. "Do your research" is very good advice.  I've notice many people on this community have experience on how and why crypto-coins fail. This will only help Keycoin succeed. Experience is a Key to success. If someone on the team lacks experience, then simply bring more experience to the table. Everyone has gifts and specialties. And everyone hurt by past failing coins should let bitterness go and jump onto this Rocket Train before it's launched! I understand trust and commitment are key, but this grows over time. Note: As a long term investor I would never invest in a coin named Cinni, Dope, Crypt, Black, or Dark because their names do not have "Mass Market Appeal" like KEY does. Even CloakCoin sounds like illegal activity on steroids. You can make a little money with these small markets for a time. But the real GEM is having something that can be marketed to the Masses! What is interesting is that now the FUD people have had to up their game and now want people to directly attack any network that has a PoS coin.

This FUD is creating cheap coins  I bought it at 74,000 then sold at 108,000 thinking it would drop as usual. It went back up before I could buy back in and missed the boat. Now I see it is hovering around 150,000. I bought back in because it is during a dip and cheaper than its latest high. It could go lower, even as low at 74,000 on this bad news. One thing is for sure. This coin is solid and will go back up. What bad news? I hear good news. |

Just a simple suggestion:
All curse words should be removed from the official announcements on the website. They are not professional. Anything that sounds like complaining isn't professional either.
In general in this business, public statements should be made with the same care and caution a politician takes. If you wouldn't say "shitcoins" in a State of the Union Address, don't say that in a public statement. Clean it up, and things will appear 100-fold more professional.
The team is professional, and the website looks great. So does the technology. Make the PR equally as great, and this will be a monster. Don't mention fights with others, don't point fingers, and don't do anything that could be perceived as antagonistic, particularly in the PR.
All in all, great job.
Heed these words, and things will go further faster.
I second this. It's very important how the Keycoin team present themselves. In order to catch the interest of more big investors and influential people i.e. professionals, Keycoin team will also need to stay professional. Not saying that you guys have been inappropriate, but like everything else, this is something that could always be improved. It'll also be an additional thing that will set Keycoin apart from the huge number of altcoins out there. I agree. You don't want the word "Shit Coin" anywhere near the Keycoin website. Marketing is Marketing which mean you never limit your Market. Professionals simply will not take this coin serious without sounding professional. Many younger people don't care. But many distinguished investors with deep pockets do. Wisdom is KEY. Stay Positive. |

After that large rise the market cap is 746btc or $447,000. That is low when you are working on competing with coins in the millions for market cap. But in this day of age people will be happy to dump this low and miss the ride up the rest of the way.

Just an summary of what I think makes Keycoin awesome and why I think it is very cheap to get into right now, even with the recent big rise in value.
1. Dev team. Very competent and has been delivering as promised thus far.
2. Innovative anon tech that works!
3. Very appealing name with great branding
4. No premine. One of the most fair launches I have seen.
5. Purely POS now and with very limited supply, making inflation not an issue.
6. Fast transactions
7. From the sound of it, many more new exciting features to come in the future.
