It can sometimes take a while to find connections in the network to sync. Also, I have the mac wallet for one of my computers and I found that I could get more active connections without using the .conf file in the bitcoindark folder
I have been running it for days without and, since yesterday, with the .conf file. No connections at all. I have also tried running it with "Connect through SCOKS proxy" checked & unchecked. Always out of sync  Seems like I'm the only one having this problem here. Appreciate any help, otherwise I might have to start selling the coins still held at exchanges. Don't trust them. Don't worry, only small amounts. I run about 40-50 wallets on 5-6 PCs and have randomly, mysteriously seen this with a few coins... (Last week I even had unresolvable issues with a new Bitcoin installation after downloading 27 GB)... It's probably something at your end specific to your PC, like a port is blocked, software conflict, etc... The only coin I've ever seen that tells me if the requires port is blocked is TRK. Often the only solution is to install the wallet on another PC. Finally, managed to get connected to 1 node, synchronizing now. Thanks for all the help. |

I'm new to BTCD and having trouble making wallet online. Posted here http://forum.bitcoindark.pw/index.php?topic=9.msg16#msg16 and forum seems dead; no response. Anybody here can help? "7) Download the Config file from OP and put into wallet folder." I have followed instructions in OP, but for mac, where is the wallet folder? Cannot see it under Show Package Contents. Thanks Hi Middlepath, Open your Finder. Hold down the option key and on the top bar hover over GO. You'll then see Library as one of the options. This is your system library that usually remains hidden. Click on it. Then click on the application support folder and then you should see the bitcoindark folder there. Found it, thank you. I have deleted everything in that folder except wallet.dat, downloaded & copied BitcoinDark.conf into the Application Support/BitcoinDark folder. Downloaded fresh copy of app, launch it and it still says Out of Sync. What am I missing? |

Why was Safecoin offered at a 50% discount when priced in Mastercoin compared to Bitcoin? Before the announcement, Mastercoin was just below 0.1 BTC. Surely it is not hard to see that once the IPO pricing for Safecoin was announced, Mastercoin will jump up to 0.2. Was this an attempt by the MC ppl to pump up the price/value of Mastercoin? It just does not make sense. Let's see If Maidsafe or Mastercoin foundation can give a clear & honest answer to this question.

Well, rickyjames, I think you are a pretty confident guy, do you want to be also a leader on a stage?  You know, I tried repeatedly to get on a stage to pitch NXT. It's pretty clear that Paul Snow, the organizer of the conference, politely kept that from happening, altho he put me on an altcurency panel that he headed and ran quite well. The problem with putting a guy from NXT on a stage at this point is the current disconnect of the NXT group from the dev team master plan. We need to get that straight before we go putting people on stage. Are we a spendable coin? Are we a Ripple? Are we a science project? The only way this issue will get resolved is if any of the big holders actually start hiring developers. WE NEED DEVELOPERS. This community is SO centralized at the moment that we're 1 month from total collapse Totally false. We have 10M unclaimed Nxt to pay for developers. Don't assume any stakeholder will donate 1 Nxt, that is a huge mistake and the wrong direction to take. Failure of Nxt will have nothing to do with Stakeholders at this point. We need to encourage Stakeholders to contribute any way they can, constantly berating them on this thread will only push them into hiding more. Guys like Pouncer, Klee, etc.. have contributed great amounts to help us and BCNext has gifted us with 10M Nxt to use. That is an incredible amount and we should all be thankful. Well said,msin. Sounds like a great client. I still have a floppy disk! I don't use Nxt now because it is too difficult. This new software will add a lot of users. |

I'm holding a small amount and can already make substantial gains on it if I sell now but tbh, this coin needs a lot of work and needs to go on better exchanges as-well if it's ever to see the light of day.
I'm in for the long run.
