Would is be possible to add pheonixminer to this?
I will have to investigate their API to see if they it provides all the info the UI needs. Regarding the P0 state - my first suggestion will be to try to run the miner as an administrator to see if that solves it. |

I'm having issues with it at the moment, the GUI is having problems detecting the process and killing it once the benchmark is done. I'm almost there. the API is already working (if I kill the benchmark process manually I can start mining using it, and I see the proper hashrate in the UI)... The only thing left is to make sure the process is killed successfully. Thanks again for all the feedback. Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you guys. I'm assuming the issues with the lingering ethminer window is a result of the bug I just fixed (0 hashrate readout) Please let me know if this issue persist in the latest version - I'm unable to reproduce on my environment.

So i figured out the missing hashrate on the newer ethminer. They actually implemented an API similar to Claymore's, which made my like a tad easier. https://github.com/ethereum-mining/ethminer/pull/253I'll push a version tomorrow, I want to make sure it runs without any issues on my rig overnight. I see...
Does the benchmark for the new ethminer (ethminerLatest) finish successfully? What is your hashrate compared to the one shipped by default?
I'll take another look at the API calls ASAP, in the meantime, this is a minor visual bug, you can still use this version if you find it more stable than the previous one.

Well... looking at the screenshot you posted, ethminer is reporting 0 hashes/second on the console, so the UI will do the same.
Maybe give it a few minutes for the DAG file to initialize on each GPU.
This has to work, as it passed benchmark, and a real hashrate was loaded successfully (otherwise the UI would have never picked/used that miner to begin with)
Now that I figured out how to add additional miners, I'm very interested in adding the best-in-class miners/versions to this application.
Any suggestions based on experience? which miner should I add next?
Unfortunately, I sold all my AMD GPUs, so it's going to be hard/impossible to add and test AMD miners, but I have a couple of Nvidia 10XX rigs.

You can give the newer version a try: Release 0.5.2 - 2018-06-05 Updated to sync with NHML v1.9.0.3 Bundled ethminer 0.14.0 which provides better performance and stability for CUDA devices. You can still use the "original" version if you like. Benchmark both, and see what works best for you. Download NicerMiner v0.5.2: https://github.com/odedolive/NicerMiner/raw/master/releases/NicerMiner%200.5.2.zipThe new ethminer version should provide better performance and stability over the one shipped with NHML. I can try to bundle the new version with the app, and whenever the underlying code is trying to use Ethminer, just point it at the new version.
I'll have to test it of course.
I have GeForce GTX 1060 6GB on my dev machine, so I can test Ethminer myself using this configuration.

Hi,
I'm looking at merging 1.9.0.3 right now.
Running some tests as we speak.
Regarding the default miner settings: I had no idea, as I'm not CPU mining on any of my rigs (I do a shallow test to make sure it works, but turn it off after a short while)
I'm not sure about overriding the default settings, because if might have a negative effect on other users (tweaking might work for you, but break the app for others)
Regarding the question about CPU load while idle - I'll try to dig into it. I am not doing anything funny in the background other than loading MPH profitability data.
And the NM zip file is bigger than NHML - it's because I ship it bundled with a CPU miner instead of downloading it on first launch. I only started doing that in the past couple of releases (you can see the history at GitHub)

I'm also looking at adding support for Bminer with it's new Eth Dual mining modes.

I've merged v1.9.0.1 into NicerMiner. I also added support for new CPU algos - Yescrypt and Lyra2z (on my CPU, Yescrypt is around 20%-30% more profitable than CNv7), plus another implementation of the CNv7 algo, you might find faster than XmrStak, so give it a try. I'm running tests tonight and I'll try to figure out a way to pack this new version, as I'll have to ship it with a new CPU miner ( https://github.com/JayDDee/cpuminer-opt/releases/tag/v3.8.8) Stay tuned. |

As long as the miner does not change the way it runs (renaming parameters, requiring new parameters or removing old ones), an in-line replacement should work just fine.
I would recommend backing up the old version, just in case, and give it a try.

To be honest, I wouldn't be too worried about Qubit as it's dominated by ASICs.

I was able to mine CNV7 using the bundled XmrStak on my Nvidia rig.
The bundled CCminer seems to fail on my end too when trying to benchmark on my Nvidia rig.
Last night I was also able implement support for Skein, Lyra2z, Groestl, MyriadGroestl and Qubit so stay tuned :-)

I will take another look tonight.
I was able to run this version on two of my Nvidia rigs, and was able to benchmark and mine CryptonightV7 on both GPU and CPU.
Logs can help if you can share any, but I made no changes around that area, so potentially, it should behave the same as the original NHML v1.9.0.0 alpha.

Cryptonight V7 update: I've upgraded NicerMiner to match NiceHashLegacy miner version 1.9.0.0-Alpha. The migration was slightly painful as the profit switching functionality completely changed between version 1.8.1.9 and 1.8.1.10.  Going to run it overnight and will post an updated version tomorrow if it all checks out. Cheers. |
