21  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: ICOs asking for passport...is it safe? on: February 24, 2018, 07:06:59 PM
Hi guys, as many of you already know, many ICOs are asking for passport verification. Is it safe to give pictures of your passport to groups we don't even know well, I mean there is something called passport misuse and identity theft or even using you passport for loans! It is concerning.

It is NEVER safe to send your information to a 3rd party.

Be very cautious & truly determine if a couple of dollars is worth it.

I would highly contact professional advice on this matter to avoid any confusion & possible incarceration.

For those living in the US... this is extremely important.

When it comes to your freedom no financial amount is worth it!
23  Economy / Economics / Re: Lost Bitcoins on: February 22, 2018, 09:32:47 PM
When will we hit a critical point at which there's just too many lost bitcoins due to someone loosing their wallets, dying or corrupted hard drives and etc? At some point this is bound to happen right?
I know that for the time being, low circulating supply means that the coin will increase in value but how low can it get before it starts to give diminishing returns and actually inflict damage to the system? What would happen to crypto in general if all of the coins and altcoins will suffer the same ending?

Fiat:

People pass away, or bury money in the ground all the time.
Houses & buildings have fires, cash or documents are lost, etc.
Solution? New cash is printed. This is an inflationary currency.

Bitcoin/etc:

People pass away, lose passwords, etc.
Houses & building fires burn up backup files in Mining accidents all the time.
Solution? Bitcoin(or any other crypto) can essentially have infinite decimals.
So it's a deflationary currency.

Do you have any good reason to believe that the crypto market is going to grow this year? Do you think we may end up in all red? I do not see the growth and happy investing of last years.

I doubt this year is going to be r‎ed too much is happening. If it is then it wont be for long. A healthy consolidation is always good.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can a Grassroots based project succeed? | | | Tai Chi Chain | | | on: February 19, 2018, 10:07:59 PM
Was expecting a little bit more feedback. I guess bitcointalk isn't as active as it used to be.

I think it is very difficult, because the blockchain is not playing games, blockchain is a new generation of technology, so if there is not a good ICO team, then I think this ICO project will be difficult to succeed.

The entire Tai Chi Chain Team has all together over 20 years experience in the blockchain industry, is backed by a plethora of contributors, & is currently forming important partnerships with well established projects.

And a coin doesn't have to have an ICO to succeed.
In fact, many ICO's obtain an insane amount of revenue, thus, cutting the financial drive to keep the project going completely away.

It has happened too many times.

Anyways feel free to check us out, a lot more to come.

People pay tax all the time & it's what funds schools & other programs.
If you are cashing Bitcoin into USD then you should definitely pay taxes on it.
Everything gets taxed, why should Bitcoin be treated special?
