How is it possible that everyone didn't realize this was a very clever, elaborate (although thinly veiled) joke right from the first post?! Proof-of-Hate algorithm? Lol. This has been hilarious but now I feel sad for the future of mankind. Same feeling Oh no. I've become one of them.

Wallet stuck at 840 block. Updated conf file with all nodes from OP. Deleted peers file. Updated QT. 6 active connections. Anything I'm missing here? It's been at 840 for 30 minutes, does it just need time?
I had to copy the wallet.dat to another computer actually, start faircoin wallet there. Close the wallet, put the wallet into the /users/username/appdata/roaming/faircoin dir Then i had a round of -salvagewallet to recover some "lost" coins. Had the same kind of issue, got stuck constantly. Tried that, it's now at 842 but going super slow. Is that normal? Maybe I'll leave it overnight. Thanks for your help.

If I deposit coins with anon, will they count towards the IPO?
If not, why?
Sorry, deposit coins with what? He's the most reputable escrow guy on this forum.

WARNING, LIKELY SCAM.
Here are the warning signs:
1. Dev claims he was one of the most active on NXT thread to gain credibility. Okay, maybe but as of right now he is still < 100 posts total. 2. Dev types out rough outline of his coin. No whitepaper, beta, or anything to show for it yet. 3. Dev posts massive IPO offering without escrow. 4. Dev refuses requests for escrow (see page 1) with some lame excuse about "focusing on core features". What? 5. Dev says IPO is going away soon to create urgency, making it more likely you'll do something stupid. If this project were legit, why wouldn't the dev want the IPO to reach full maturity? Why not be transparent? What's wrong with last minute deposits?
DEMAND ESCROW.

I realize we're past 500 but I'm interested nonetheless. Maybe there were a few repeats in there?

I think many people left this coin, including me.
There's no need to mine this coin anymore, obviously. In my opinion this coin had potential, but these scams make it quite worthless to me. I'm gone I guess.
Not necessarily a scam, just a poor setup. Too bad, this one did have potential.

Client have to be easily accessible, meaning that general people could adopt and use it. Notebooks and desktop computers aint nowadays even used in every household, i know many folks who just mainly use their tablets and smartphones. I dont know about rest of the world, but in Finland banks have very sophisticated clients/internetbanks and with all the NFC and other mobile payments systems, competition is fierce. Certainly NEM have to be better than those systems of we want to create complete currency system/finance platform.
We definitely shouldn't forget about smartphone users here. It's a vast and growing market. +1000 I would 100% prefer a web wallet. More accessible for the general public who is used to simply logging in. Who downloads things anymore?

It was 100% naive to think that Bitcoin would have been allowed to operate in China in the first place.
Their government is Communist. It's centralized heaven over there.
funny how 'communism' never works out for 'the people' ... well actually not funny Yet, most people in the US, young hipsters, seem to never figure that out. Old hipsters on the other hand...
