21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO ✅] MyShield 🔰 Decentralized Anti-Scam Platform 🔰 on: May 30, 2018, 08:31:37 PM

this ICO project is just one of a kind.  impressive combination of AI technology and crowd wisdom.  i think the team did a good job here in coming up with this intelligent solution to fight scams and fraud.

agree with this post.  scammers have found better ways to be successful in their attacks and so we need a technology that keeps us to fight these.  I think Myshield is the project that has the capacity to put a stop to all the scammers' works.

i admire the Brandshield technology in the cyber intelligence service.  So knowing that it's the same team behind Myshield, I am confident that this will succeed and will do many wonders against all scams.  Good AI technology with community reports system

Yes its the same team who bugged down fake websites of another ICO project Cool Cousin.  Good team behind Myshield!

right!  they're amazing right!  that's why im excited with what Myshield has to give to protect the crypto users.  Since we're all familiar with AI technology, Im especially with how its going to be combined with crowd wisdom.  such a unique technology here of Myshield

How is Myshield's antiscam different from antivirus or anti-spam?

Traditional anti-virus and anti-spam services cannot protect us from new types of cyber threats like phishing, fraud, brandjacking.  MyShield takes the fight to whole new level by involving the community in the detection process.  The system alerts users of different scams, while those who report new threats and share them with the community are rewarded with the MyShield tokens.

wow, that is a good reward you have there! haha! but what is the role of blockchain here?

MyShield’s decision making process is complex as it is based on the combination of the already existing cyber intelligence (of BrandShield®  and other cyber intelligence providers), as well as reports by the community, crowd wisdom scoring, and the capability of storing data that is not manipulated by both the users and the providers. As part of the model, users will be rewarded for their reports. Hence the need for the Blockchain a transparent, secured database.

smart way to maximize the system 👍🏼 good job

27  Other / Beginners & Help / How to ensure ICO safety on: April 13, 2018, 10:24:42 AM
As a newbie in crypto, we will be encountering different scenarios and tools to invest in - coins, icos, tokens, etc.
Here's an excerpt below from an article, which I think is very helpful for us.

Read the whole article here:  http://www.information-age.com/initial-coin-offering-safety-123471100/

After a lightning increase in 2017, the ICO market is still working out how to structure itself. Initiatives such as the ICO Charter already suggest that there is a good practice in Europe. The charter has received a lot of support from credit rating agencies, law firms, ICO specialists and consulting firms.Currently checking purchaser’s identities, the initial stage of fundraising is well verified, and the verification steps in the process work well when they are integrated as soon as possible. However, the latter part still poses problems as many lack hindsight and good practices in the area.360-degree security.  Previous experience shows that the fundamental points are not always respected during some ICO’s. As the result, the security of smart contracts is a fundamental element to consider. Although a smart contract is in essence secured, mistakes in the code can lead to indirect or malicious usage. This was the case last November during the freeze on all multi-signature Parity wallets. In this respect, the rules applied are those of every good developer: meticulousness and checking...
28  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bangko Sentral, SEC to educate public on cryptocurrencies on: April 05, 2018, 12:45:47 PM
Looking forward to the rising of bitcoin's value.

maganda to and sana talagang magpush through sila with the awareness campaign.  but i hope hindi lang sila maging biased in presenting cryptocurrency to the market.  i hope they will also highlight the many benefits and opportunities this technology/ industry may bring and not just focused on the many discouraging news of scams and frauds, etc.

Sana nga maging successful ang kanilang sariling cryptocurrency. I like when big companies are trying to invest in these kinds of things upang mas mapadali ang ating buhay

Yes agree with this.  It matters a lot when big companies declare their confidence in this technology kse it gives big assurance to the consumers as well.  I hope this plan of Uber will succeed and be a precedent to other companies as well.
30  Economy / Economics / As Altcoin Popularity Grows So Does Crime; Is Regulation Keeping Up? on: April 05, 2018, 12:05:17 PM
Hey guys, sharing with you this article:  As Altcoin Popularity Grows So Does Crime; Is Regulation Keeping Up? (https://www.investing.com/analysis/as-cryptocurrencies-proliferate-so-do-certain-criminal-activities-200302190)

It mentioned that "many people are afraid to use some cryptocurrencies because of the risks and lack of transparency."  Do you think there has to be a regulation of some sort?
31  Other / Off-topic / Re: How did you get into bitcoin? on: March 15, 2018, 10:53:32 AM
a friend from dubai told me about it.  he was into it, as a sideline from his work there and i remember he was talking about the technical stuff and all.  so i researched about it myself and got interested and so I made my first step of investing in 2015.
32  Economy / Economics / Re: Becoming wealthy and social responsibility on: March 15, 2018, 10:35:10 AM
I have always admired the goals of everyone in the community behind crypto about decentralisation. That won't go away. The people investing in bitcoin may only be interested in money but its the successful developers creating new dapps and protocols who are the ones who provide the direction. I think the existing culture will continue to dominate. I really do hope this decentralised model eventually emerges successful, its the world I want to see. One where power is more equitably distributed and people have greater control over their lives and futures.

i agree with this that the successful developers are the ones who provide direction.  and this includes even the companies who do ICO.  i hope that for those who invest in ICO, they will consider not only if their token investments will have good return but the usability of a ICO, like if it will be able to address a significant need of our society.  i guess its where our social responsibility will come in as we participate in this new kind of technology.

I think you will hear from many on here that newb's should just slowly accumulate the top cryptos by marketcap. They are essentially the safest with less risk.

If you have never traded in the conventional stock market before, crypto's is not a good place to learn as you can get wiped out really fast due to the extreme volatile nature of these assets.

agree.  accumulation first at the start and study how the market moves and works.  engaging in trading right away might leave you in a hurtful place.  also, do more readings.  basically your stage is a stage of observation and doing one step at a time.
