21  Economy / Lending / Re: Loan for Dicebot on: July 20, 2014, 09:49:56 AM
You say you have money in the bank and plenty of cash, but you can't buy btc? why not? there are plenty of sellers on localbitcoins that will do in-person cash trades or will accept bank/bank wire transfers.

200 doge isn't even worth it to try and remember my password and log in to my twitter account  Tongue
23  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you earn money online? on: July 20, 2014, 06:11:47 AM
1) referrals from coinad
2) posting shortened links from coinurl

it doesn't bring in a whole lot. but once it's up and running, it's a completely passive income.

interesting. so where do you post these ads and links? do you have a blog/web site, something like that? i'm always interested in passive income. Smiley

i post coinurl links anywhere and everywhere people are likely to click them. except here of course. theymos apparently doesn't like coinurl links. and to get referrals and whatnot, i just submit my ref links to bitvisitor. I can usually get about 10-20 new referrals for every 1000 views or so.
how many satoshi did you get from 1 click of coinurl?
i'm interesting with this, i know paid short url, but never try it before Tongue
hmm, you post everywhere is kinda spam i think. where did you post it? another forum?

individual clicks from coinurl generally pay between 50 and 150 satoshi. and i don't just spam random links. if somebody asks for a link to something, i'll monetize it. or i'll post a monetized link to something on-topic for a given discussion or i may even just post a link back to the homepage of whatever site it may be. facebook, youtube, chan sites, etc. places that get a lot of traffic are good places to post them.

26  Other / Off-topic / Re: Dealer Plates on: July 20, 2014, 05:43:09 AM
So, what I'm getting out of this is you're asking if anybody has a dealer plate they'd be willing to sell you. I'm pretty sure that's illegal, and if caught, you (and the person that sold it to you) could be facing some stiff penalties.
27  Other / Off-topic / Re: I am failing to pay mortgages on time. on: July 20, 2014, 05:39:18 AM
My tenants already ask for lowest prices on the rental . Say if I don't give in they will move out the next day.

If they don't give a months notice, keep their security deposit.

I agree. If they don't give 30 days notice, you can keep their various deposits and put a negative tick on their rental history.

29  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Make $7000 A Week on: July 20, 2014, 01:46:54 AM
Ummm... In order to make $7k/week from arbitraging on a $1 difference, you would have to be trading a volume of 7k BTC per week. And then you have to take into account the 1.5% fee that most exchanges charge. So in essence, arbitraging for a dollar would be losing you money. Way to go OP. You turned 2 million dollars into 1 million. That's what I'd call success.
30  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Virgin BTC on: July 19, 2014, 09:15:06 AM
I for one would be willing to pay a small premium for just the opposite. I would love to get my grubby little hands on some coins with taint from the original silk road. Just so I could say I have it.
31  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: btc is a currency?do u used btc buy anything?and why? on: July 19, 2014, 09:06:12 AM
I haven't made a non-btc purchase in months.

How about day-to-day purchases like groceries? You don't frequent local restaurants/small businesses that don't accept bitcoin? That's crazy, but I guess you're livin' the dream... Smiley

haha. i guess i should make the disclosure that I still live with my parents. so stuff like groceries and whatnot are taken care of by them. and i really don't eat out all that much or frequent local businesses. although i do have a coinbase account that's linked with a netspend bank account/debit card. so if i do happen to actually need fiat for something, that's how i do that. another thing i'll do sometimes is i'll buy some gold or silver bullion via one of the online precious metal retailers and then just go sell that at a local coin shop for cash. but pretty much everything i buy is purchased online through a handful of retailers that either directly accept btc or have gift cards available through gyft.com. like i said, if i can't somehow use my bitcoin to buy it, i don't buy it.
32  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: btc is a currency?do u used btc buy anything?and why? on: July 19, 2014, 08:36:16 AM
I haven't made a non-btc purchase in months. If I can't buy it with btc, either directly or indirectly via buying a gift card with my btc, I don't buy it. In fact, I just ordered a pizza a couple days ago using a gift card purchased with btc. What drew me to it as a means of transferring value is the fact that it can be transferred anywhere across the globe within minutes or even seconds with negligible (if any) fees attached. You can't say that about paypal, credit cards, bank/bank transfers, personal check, etc. All those other forms of payment either take days to clear and for the recipient to receive it or they incur very large fees for faster transfer times. As a payment system, Bitcoin (and crypto in general) is light years ahead of any other method except maybe making a physical, hand-to-hand, in-person cash transaction. And even that has its limits because you have to be within arm's reach of who you're handing the money to. Bitcoin really is the currency of the future and not just some bulk commodity to be traded between speculators. All I'm waiting for now is the day when I can completely do away with anything fiat-linked and pay all of my bills and taxes and whatnot with btc. We're not quite there yet, but that day is coming.

I'm having trouble getting 10.3.4 to sync. It says I have 0 active connections to the network. I had it fully synced a couple days ago, but now it seems to just not be connecting. Anybody else having the same problem? Any new addnodes to put on the list?
34  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: What is average cost of electricity for miners? on: July 17, 2014, 10:31:28 PM
I'm in the Pacific Northwest (About 30 minutes north of Seattle). PUD charges us $0.094/kW/h for electricity. I've heard they're getting rates somewhere in the area of $0.05-0.06/kW/h over in Eastern WA.

They use the same algorithm, yes. But they are not the same coin.
38  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Any good straight PPS pools out there? on: June 30, 2014, 07:34:26 PM
f2pool.com at 4% fee is the best pps pool in my opinion
EclipseMC has pps at 5% also

Anything cheaper is either a scam or deluding themselves.

I was actually looking at f2pool. but unfortunately, i don't speak/read chinese and google translate doesn't get the whole site. so it's a bit difficult for me.

Don't dig. What's the best graphics. How to set up? Smiley

Mining with a graphics card is moot at this point for just about anything using sha256. It's just too slow and uses too much electricity to ever hope to make any sort of profit with it. I'm afraid if you don't have some sort of asic device, you're pretty much out of luck.
