Some interesting fact: NEM vs IOTA:NEM can do what IOTA can do (but in another way). Connect hundreds of thousands devices (IOT) and let them communicate. All you need is a private chain. The private chain can interact with the public chain (if needed). In this way you can also handle thousands of transactions per second, like IOTA can do. For me as an investor this is/was very interesting news because i think the internet of things is one of the most promising future developments. NEM can compete in this area! ich glaube Bitcoin ist kaputt, da steht was von 9`700  da gebe ich dir sogar Recht, das Problem wird die Energieverschwendung beim minen werden. POW ist doch nicht so das Gelbe vom Ei wird sich aber nichts dran ändern..Eine so krasse Umstellung wie ETH mit POS vorantreibt wird es bei BTC niemals geben. Fronten sind sowieso schon verhärtet. Also muss man leider damit Leben. PoW ist das Beste, was es aktuell auf dem Markt gibt. PoS führt nur zu einem Wertverlust. Warum auch sollte etwas Wert haben, für das man nur (!) hodlen muss? Der Wert des Bitcoin kommt (auch) durch das PoW-Mining zustande. Durch PoS geht diese Säule verloren. Ich denke, dass viele, welche den Energieverbrauch des Bitcoin anprangern, gar nicht verstanden haben, warum das wichtig ist! Die Diskussion sollte man aber in einem anderen Faden diskutieren. Dafür reicht der Platz hier nicht. Auch würde mich eure Meinung dazu interessieren. Gibt einige gute POS-ähnliche Ansätze. NEM zb hat POI (proof of importance). Je mehr du aktiv am Netzwerk teilnimmst bzw. es nutzt, desto höher deine importance und desto mehr erhältst du vom Kuchen=Gebühren (nennt sich harvesting, ähnlich wie mining). Kommt also nicht nur auf den Stake an. |

Die hat er ehrlich ermined  Aber im Ernst... Was ist denn an ehrlich ermined un-ernst? Satoshi gab von Anfang an jedem die Möglichkeit, mitzumachen. Das diese Möglichkeit im ersten Jahr praktisch niemand genutzt hat, dafür kann Satoshi nix. "Pre-Mining" geht anders. Kann man halt auch schönreden. unterschied ist moralisch natürlich da, aber imo vernachlässigbar weil im endeffekt das selbe rauskommt. |

Wo kommt den gerade das ganze Geld bei den Altcoins her.
Das sind diejenigen, die sich keinen Bitcoin leisten können, weil der mit 8000 USD "zu teuer" ist. Die kaufen sich lieber einen Altcoin für 8 EUR (von dem es 10^6 mal soviel gibt, die Initiatoren einen guten Teil reserviert haben und der praktisch - also ausserhalb eines Börsenanbieters - überhaupt nicht funktioniert). Und ganz erhlich - seid froh, dass wir einen guten Teil dieser Idioten nicht am Hals haben. Damit bleiben die Kursschwankungen im Prozentbereich und nicht im Grössenordnungsbereich wie früher. Hat sich Herr Satoshi nicht auch einen guten teil der Btc eingeheimst? |

Die "Bezahlfunktion" ist aktuell irrelevant. Bitcoin wird immer mehr als Alternative und Absicherung gegen die Geldflut der (Noten)Banken und Gefahren in der Weltwirtschaft gesehen.
So ist es. Wobei Bitcoin die Probleme noch weiter vertiefen wird. In Form von noch extremeren Ungleichgewichten zwischen den Marktteilnehmern. Es gibt nur 21 Mio. Bitcoins aber 7-8 Mrd. Menschen, ergo ist sogar ein Preis weit jenseits von 10.000$ gerechtfertigt.
Das ist eine wenig sinnvolle Herangehensweise. Die Menge des überschüssigen Geldes ist entscheidend, nicht die Anzahl der Menschen. 99,99% der Menschen besitzen überhaupt keine Bitcoins. Die 10.000$ sind so gut wie erreicht. Das ist nur noch ein Frage der Zeit. Wenn nur 10% der Bitcoin besitzer nicht nur kaufen und horten sondern es auch verwenden würden, wären wir längst über $20.000 und das zumindest über eine längere Zeitraum stabil! Im Moment wird es schwierig mit Annahme, weil es kann für beide Seiten ein gutes oder schlechtes Geschäft werden! Utopie, das System ist auf horten ausgelegt, das bringt die Begrenzung automatisch mit. Jeder der verkauft verliert. Es gibt nur eine Richtung, nämlich ins System rein. Und um so höher der Preis steigt umso geringer wird die Vermögensverteilung. Das sind nur einmal die Eckdaten des Systems. Keiner sendet heut mehr BTC wenn er dadurch nicht noch mehr BTC horten kann. Eine normale Wirtschaft gibt es hier nicht, es ist alles darauf ausgelegt noch mehr BTC zu horten. Übrigens würde das gleiche in EUR passieren wenn der EUR begrenzt wäre, nun können wir mal raten warum der EUR nicht begrenzt ist. Was unsere Gesellschaftssysteme unter Druck setzen sind nicht die Währungen sondern der Zins und den könnte man auch im EUR abschaffen. Man sollte sich mal fragen was ist ein Bitcoin wert wenn man ihn eh nicht mehr ausgeben will. D.h. eine Gesellschaft, die nur den BTC nutzt und keine inflationäre Währung, wird/kann sich nicht weiterentwickeln. Versteh ich das richtig? |

Does anybody know how to uninstall byte ball completely from my Mac? Not only the ~250MB, the whole "blockchain" I downloaded.
The directory that contains all the data in macOS is ~/Library/Application Support/byteball, removing it will remove everything, it's not just uninstalling though, I mean if you have funds they will also become unrecoverable. But if i have the wallet-seed, everything is fine, right? with the wallet seed i can delete everything anytime, i can always recreate my wallet with the seed, right? With wallet seed you can restore bytes and public assets. For private assets like Blackbytes, you need the backup of the directory. + you can recover from seed only from a full wallet, meaning that you'll have to download the whole DAG all-over again. Can you tell us what is your intention by wanting to delete the whole DAG so we can maybe suggest other solutions? I got a new Mac (macOs Sierra 10.12.5) and wanted to import my old wallet. I downloaded the whole DAG and when i imported my backup, i got following Error: Uncaught exception: Error: Error: SQLITE_ERROR: duplicate column name: my_record_pref ALTER TABLE correspondent_devices ADD COLUMN my_record_pref INTEGER DEFAULT 1The error occured after i tried to import a backup. Now i always get the error as soon as i start byteball. Now i'm afraid not to be able to import my old wallet. I have a backup and a wallet-seed. Edit: I have no more byteball folder, but i still get the same error when i newly install and start the application. |
