21  Bitcoin / Mining / Who thinks newegg and tigerdirect bought all the BTC at $17 last week on: June 11, 2011, 11:21:39 PM
That would be genius, if even just newegg bought all the bitcoins up in the teens, causing it to spike to $30, and them to sell out on all their mining hardware. THEN sell themm all at 30 and double-rofl all the way to the bank

remember that dry ice is CO2, and will need to be vented outside somehow.
other then that, dry ice is kinda expensive.

25  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: DDoS!?!?! on: June 11, 2011, 02:11:04 AM
my simple understanding is, 'distributed denial of service', which means a flood of stupid internet request to the same address such as silk road, so that people who ACTUALLY want to use it, cant. its like picture taking a number in line at the bakery. If 7000 screaming shitheads kept running through the doors and taking numbers in front of you, you would never get helped . . get it?  Its probly 9000 times more complicated, but in essence im pretty sure thats the jist of it
26  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: New miner looking for some tips on: June 11, 2011, 02:02:15 AM
MSI afterburner can only increase voltage for reference cards. The best combination is SDK 2.4 + modified phoenix kernel. Mining with CPU is a bad idea, you'll use more money (electricity) than you generate.

Hey Grue you seem to be a very sharp guy here. Can you tell me briefly what the 2.4SDK does? I have it installed, as well as the latest catalyst drivers. Do you have to do anything else to get SDK to work? Or is it used in place of the regular ATi drivers? Or do you just run something in SDK to tune the card/overclock?

THxx!
27  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: If I bought a bunch of 5830's. any interest? on: June 11, 2011, 01:43:29 AM
my guess too, i cleaned out the Tustin one 3 days ago of 4 units,  just needed 4 addresses to mail them too is actually the specifics. Me house, my office, my partner house, his parents house = 4. see what you can work out yourself.

31  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Mt. Gox drops to 20, reconsidering your mining rigs? on: June 10, 2011, 08:23:45 PM
Once the mexican mafia figures out you can get $800mirrion of drug money out of the USA without buying 400 suitcases at walmart, bitcoins will be a lot more than $20
32  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: SCAM ALERT! Anyone else got this shit? on: June 10, 2011, 08:16:08 PM

lol gotcha, yeah its weird how only the ATi cards are good for it, who knows maybe Nakamote is really the CEO of ATi lol
34  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: HELP is my macbook pro completely obsolete for mining? on: June 10, 2011, 09:54:54 AM
Its not obsolete for mining! Hide in the bushes and whack the UPS driver over the head with it when he's delivering a NewEgg box to your neighbor with 6990s in it!
35  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Trying to figure out how to CrossFire my GPUs HELP!! on: June 10, 2011, 08:47:01 AM
make sure you got the last bios made for the mobo too, sometimes they dont get all the tricks workin til the last or later on bios revs.
36  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Trying to figure out how to CrossFire my GPUs HELP!! on: June 10, 2011, 08:45:40 AM
crossfiring slows shit down anyway, so fukk that shit. For starters I would get it mining with the 'better' card, everything kool and smooth.

Then pop the 2nd card in and see if it boots . . Maybe try setting BIOS to 'failsafe defaults'  . . like a very mild setting on everything.
37  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Join a pool or mine by myself? on: June 10, 2011, 08:41:39 AM
Yeah man, the 'thrill' of not catching a block for . . THREE MONTHS or so would really take the fun out of it for me.
38  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Major Problems with MSI 6950 x 2 setup please help UPDATE: FRYS SUX!!! on: June 10, 2011, 08:33:58 AM
Right on man dont worry yeah i catch myself buying impulse shit at frys too. But really in the end its always bette to get it from a place that doesnt have their own shrink-wrap machine in the back if you catch my drift. You know that shiny saran-wrap box with the 'reduced price' sticker . . its like %3 off the regular price for somethign that a ritalin tard 14yr old gamer couldnt get to work in 5mins and threw it against the wall and crammed it bakk in the box
39  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Major Problems with MSI 6950 x 2 setup please help on: June 10, 2011, 08:00:32 AM
Mannn that sukkks! yeah frys is good for piddly shit like cables , maybe ram thats factry sealed, etc. But if your in socal, chekout mwave.com or newegg, they are both in city of industry . . you can will-call same day go & get them, its always factory sealed either place ., . frys motherboards are like fukkin hindu 7-11 hotdog roller shit hahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
40  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: I did it on: June 10, 2011, 07:56:34 AM
