21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.6d: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: May 15, 2021, 04:14:07 AM

Thanks for the suggestion although marking the checkbox didn't help and I already had the folder white listed.
I did finally get it to run, not with the config file but with a this simple bat file:
ssl://us1.ethermine.org:5555 -wal MyEthWalletAddress.Eve -proto 3

Perhaps it isn't a firewall or anti-virus problem but instead an issue with my admin access; something I need to do on a brand new computer.

ABS Legend Gaming PC - Intel i9 10850K - EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra Gaming - G.Skill TridentZ RGB 32GB DDR4
Getting 107 Mh/s @ 419W out of the box without tweaking it yet.

Glad you made it work, yeah, if the windows was pre-installed better check for user domain restrictions, it can be a hassle but may be better than reinstalling your windows.

No, I have a config file. I'm right clicking the file and selecting "run as administrator".

Same config file I run on my other machines except I edited a new miner name:

-pool ssl://us2.ethermine.org:5555
-wal xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.Eve
-proto 3
-prate 0.16
-astats 1
-straps 2
-hstats 2
-retrydelay 300
-nvmem 2

If you have downloaded the phoenixminer zip from the link of the first post in this thread, add the phoenixminer folder to the whitelist of your antivirus.
right click on phoenixminer.exe, go to properties, compatibility tab, mark the checkbox to run it as administrator.
Try updating your windows, I'm running it just fine on 2h20 update.
Since I use AMD I don't know which driver version you should be using as I see you using the -nvmem command you're probably on nvidia.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.6d: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: May 14, 2021, 11:47:21 PM
I have a brand new computer just out of the box, with Windows 10 Home. The security is stopping me from running PhoenixMiner. This is so frustrating.

I had to disable "real-time" protection just to download and unzip the file without it being deleted.

I added Virus & Threat Protection exclusions for both the folder I'm running it from, and for the PhoenixMiner.exe file.

I've added PhonenixMiner to "Allow app through firewall" and it is showing in my list of Allowed apps and features.

I've tried turning off "Virus and Threat Protection" and "Firewall & Network Protection" completely.

When I try to run PhonenixMiner as an Admin, I get the usual warning "Do you want to allow this app from an unknown publisher to make changes to your device?" I answer "Yes" and then nothing, no window opens, no error message.  I can't find anything in the system logs. The graphics card shows in the Device Manager.

I have PhoenixMiner running on 7 other machines and so I'm not new to this, I can't see any difference between the machines except on this new one I'm trying to run 5.6d, and it is Win10 Home instead of Pro.

What am I missing?
Are you running it from the .bat file? If you just double click phoenixminer yes, nothing will happen.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.6d: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: May 12, 2021, 03:24:00 AM
Yes, our GitHub account was terminated (not a big surprise after they deleted some other mining software repos but we kind of liked the functionality there). Again, no explanation was given - they just don't want to host popular mining software it seems.

Our new host is up and running. You can find the latest version of PhoenixMiner (as well as older releases and beta versions) here:

https://phoenixminer.info/downloads/

As backup, you can also download the latest version from our old MEGA account (it was restored by MEGA a few weeks ago):

https://mega.nz/folder/2VskDJrI#lsQsz1CdDe8x5cH3L8QaBw

As always, make sure to compare the checksums of the downloaded files with these from the first post of this thread. This is a good idea for any download and takes mere seconds to do.

Thanks! Can you increase the length of the directory names so we can see the full name of the files? It cuts halfway for me and I have to hover with the mouse to see where it takes me.

Everyone should give a +1 trust of PhoenixMiner account so nobody gets dupped by bad actors here.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Problem On XFX RX580 8GB Windows on: May 11, 2021, 12:10:35 AM
Hello,

I have AMD RX580 8 GB with the driver 21.4.1 also phoenixminer 5.6b which would be perfect for this driver BUT there is one problem when I Tune my GPU and turn of FANS on 50% every time it crush in like 10 or 15 minutes later I don't know what's going on also this problem was early drivers and the AMD error Say "We detected a driver timeout has occurred on your system. A bug report has been generated. This report could help AMD find a solution... " Compute mode is turned ON... The miner working on Windows 10...

any ideas? please help me <3
Never forget this: In mining not always latest drivers means best. There must be time devs can upgrade miners after that you can use.
For example myself using 5.4c with driver 20.11.1 i will not change until long period,
Download 20.11.1 driver and try again. and also if you share bat file you will get more help.

I tried it and there is a bug report again I am sharing bat file
-amd -gt 63   -daglim 3950 -mt 2 -rxboost 20 -cclock 1175 -cvddc 850

I want to max my hashrate because i have 28.5 and 100W i know that it is not good Can anyone help me you can add me on facebook or somewhere else where you can chat me to configure this problem please ^_^ i can't mine it :/
Did you installed right driver? What card is it? 470 480 570 580 what card? Windows?
Delete your command and start with this : -cclock 1150 -cvddc 920 -mclock 2050 -mvddc 920 -rxboost 1 -mt 1
if it is stable you can increase mclock then decrease voltage until it crashes.

yes i installed right driver 20.11.1 and 5.4c phoenixminer... but i have about 28 MH/s for 100W why ?
i don't know really i have xfx rx580 8 gb card i know that there must be at least 30-31 mh/s with 70W- 80W for per card
also yes Windows ...

30-31mh/s even 32 are for RX580 with custom bios.
rxboost increases power consumption.
If you're using the GPU to output video to a monitor you can get lower rashrate.
Se if the memory clock has a lower state than 2000MHz on the radeon settings, if it does, set the 2000MHz as the lowest state and try generating the DAG again. Sometimes generating dag at a lower clock gets you a lower hashrate.
remove the -gt value, and the -rxboost value, try those commands without a value and see at which value they settle.

Your GPU may be shutting down. Power supply may not be enough or it is overheating and shutting down as a failsafe.
If you're doing anything graphic intensive while mining, like gaming or doing some hardware decode you can experience all sorts of crashes.
If you want to use your machine for browsing or watching youtube/netflix try deactivating hardware acceleration in your browser.

Sup,

Just catching up on past couple of pages on this thread I noticed a few references to version of PM which to my knowledge DO NOT EXIST

>> OFFICIAL PM Repo:-  https://github.com/PhoenixMinerDevTeam/PhoenixMiner/releases

The Latest Release = PhoenixMiner 5.5c @PhoenixMinerDevTeam released this on Mar 8 <===  (Not 6.6 NOT 5.6b)

Correct me if I'm wrong or have missed a secret drop?..

Cheers,

-Maj

I have no issue with 21.4.1 or 5.6a.

You may be using a non-Radeon 6000 series video card.

If you see my MH/s you would know that it is 6800XT.
It is not it doesn't work, it is just not supported, if you're not facing any problems that is good it means that the miner will need little to no changes on the next release.

Why doesn't the rxboost of Phoenix work on the MSI RX 5700xt Mech?

Hello!
100 times reread the readme, as many Googled,
I do not see in the miner window changes in the hashrate when using
rxboost 1 (2,3, etc.) from Phoenix manner, such as-vrm 25, as
at 580x.
vrm without rxboost-tried, same result.
Here, I do not remember in which branch, I read that when adding
- openclLocalWork 128 -openclGlobalMultiplier 4096 in the latest
versions of Phoenix, the hash increases to 64 MX.
Yes, it is, but half of the balls are Disabled. ...
Vin 10 x64 pro 20H2, everything is disabled, from the firewall to the Defender of Vin,
Adrenaline 20.11.1, Phoenixes 5.5, 5.6.
AMD Computer Switch, Patch 1.4.9. In stock-50, c rxboost hoped for 52-53.
Run from the Admin, the gt reacts normally, and+, and -,
for 5700ht about 120 is optimal.
Tell me who faced it.
With respect.

RX 5700XT hashrate is around 55MH/s, how much are you getting?
The 6800 series are the ones that gets 64MH/s

Hey Im new to this mining thing, I mined some etherium last month semi successfully.

Im using a single AMD rx 5700 xt , it works but the miner would crash ocassionally. Every second or third day.

From reading a bit here on the forums I see that rolling back the AMD drivers would help. Could you please suggest which exactly driver I should reroll to? Im using the latest one right now 21.3.1.

Would it be possible to use some commands also to prevent crashing?

I would like to keep the drivers up to date so that I can game on this PC as well.

Here is the screenshot of the crash
I'm on 20.12.1 and been mining for the last couple months just fine.

Hi, I was shocked to see this mess(ing) around PhoenixMiner.
I downloaded 5.5c about a month ago from phoenixminer.org. My experience is great. The miner's performance is best of all I tried.
Haven't experienced any security issues so far.

Can anybody tell if I'm using the official version or I'm victim of a scam?!?
I'm highly worried!!!

This is the file name and the checksum:
SHA256 hash of PhoenixMiner_5.5c_Windows_AMD_NVIDIA.Password-phoenix.zip:
37cf8bf59a683ec07d515c7ec1b218501e7a8a96e3dfbcff83b2d42222b27c87

the place you downloaded it is not an official source of Phoenix Miner. Check the first post for the latest version and disclaimers.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.5c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: March 27, 2021, 06:19:40 PM

The only thing is that they only show 30 CUs (Computing Units) instead of 60 CUs.
The RX 580s display 36 CUs.
Maybe some scholar knows why ...

It may be because RDNA and RDNA2 both have Dual CUs so Phoenix miner kernel look at it as 30 instead of 60. Maybe in some update they could make it display the AMD conventional count of CUs on RDNA cards.

Hi guys, I have an Rx580 8gb. Im running 5.5c mining ETH pool but when I try to use clkernel 3 (turbo) it shows that I dont have enough VRAM. Do i need more than 8gb card for using it? it works well using -bench, but once removed....i cant. thanks in advance!
Use the default kernel and use -bench. after it finish the benchmark check at which -gt value the card is set, you can do that using the + or - on the numpad. If you press + press - so it is back to the -gt value, if you press - first them press + to set it back to the -gt value
Once you got the -gt value, add the -gt <value> parameter in your .bat, remove the -bench and see if it works.

it’s not working. As soon as I start the miner, it shows that there is not enough vram and change the kernel to 1
Yes, you should use Kernel 1. It is usually the best. If you're using the card as your main video output you will probably have a little lower hashrate because windows uses D3D for the desktop.
I use an RX480 8GB that I know it can do 30MH/s but as I use it as my main video output I get 28MH/s No mods used. Just compute mode, memory timmings level 2 at 1.150mhz core and 950mv

Running a eig with 6× rx580's aorus on the Asus  prime 270-a and after managing to detect all 6 cards i get a restart everytime i start the miner.
No error message. It justs restarts after 15 seconds of running the miner..
I have changed risers and psu's. Switched some cards as well.
Any idea?

Ps: Running the 5.5c version on 20.11.2
If you mean the computer is restarting you got a power problem. Try using the slow dag creation command, maybe all your cards are generating the dag at the same time and activating the PSU failsafe.

hello, is it possible to run a .bat at 8pm and close at 8am?
If you're on Windows google for Task Scheduler. You can automate many things with that.

Is anyone running a 6800, 6800XT or 6900XT with SAM enabled with Phoenix miner? I am waiting for mine to come in and I am thinking 100MH/s could be possible with it but would like to see some real world numbers.
There is a few videos on youtube showing just 64MH/s on those cards. I was expecting much more due to the Infinity Cache and it having double the cores of the RX 5700XT maybe the kernels or compute drivers aren't quite there yet.

Djezo,
Your posts were being deleted because you were telling people to commit suicide. I myself reported your post, I would consider that a nice reason for a ban but hey this is bitcointalk, free speech amirite?

You should read more contemporary books or watch more tv shows because your level of articulation is very low. You hide your non-apology through a wall of text, deflecting everything you did wrong while making terribly placed branding calling up Nicehash time and time again. Moving the goal post is the weakest form of non-argument after ad hominem. I suggest you take the L, apologize and move on. Be humble. You may be an IT specialist but you're terrible at marketing and reading the room.

I can't find how to configure the bat with command lines to mine on binancepool. Any gidance?
