21  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The bASIC Refund Tracking Thread on: February 15, 2013, 08:41:35 PM
What is the best way to contact Dave these days?  I would like to confirm that my refund is on the "list".  The status of my order on btcfpga.com is "Payment Address Requested" despite providing a payment address in the refund request on Jan. 12.

Dave seems to have given up on this place and the abuse directed at him for trying to do the right thing in a bad situation, can't say I blame him.
22  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Should Giga be tagged as a scammer? on: February 15, 2013, 08:29:15 PM
I still do not understand, why GIGA did not get a scammer tag !
He still continues his dirty business ! Cry

From what I have seen all depends on who you know around here. What would get others tagged in a heartbeat don't seem to apply to him.
23  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-E.com exchange Bitcoin, Litecoin, Namecoin <-> USD\BTC (fee 0.2%) on: February 15, 2013, 09:44:10 AM

24  Economy / Auctions / Re: ASICMINER: board seat (equivalent of 5000 shares) for sale on: February 15, 2013, 09:30:21 AM
PMd updates:

LainZ: update to 100 @ 0.37
PM.9: update to 200 @ 0.36

The whole point of the auction section being no editing/deleting of posts is this, posts in the thread with the offers being made in public so there can be no dispute as to what happened, you posting PM offers is not that.  If they have time to PM they have time to post, I have reported this post for breaking the auction rules.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC-E questionable practices on: February 14, 2013, 08:44:35 PM
100,000 coins at current market value on btc-e = 640.00 BTC

640 BTC = 16640.00 USD

$16,640 BRIBE

The price has been higher.

Pretty sure this is a felony.

Be nice if these exchanges instead of just proving the trade amount and price would provide the account numbers for each trade so we can see just how much dirty dealing goes on in a day. That will never happen though then they would all be exposed for the frauds they are.
26  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 2 6970's on: February 13, 2013, 11:28:24 PM
Is there a trick to USING both of them simultaneously to mine? Thx.

Yes windows requires a monitor plugged into both cards for them to work for mining.
Or a dummy plug or Crossfire activated.

Since you knew the answer why not tell him in first post..

May not be the problem. Miner could be set up wrong, why I asked for more information. He may only have 1 set up. Since you posted as well, why didn't you include the information I did?

Because I answer questions in my own way my not yours and I don't do post whoring. PLONK.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How does NovaCoin have 2700BTC in buy orders?!?! and LTC only 470BTC? on: February 13, 2013, 11:20:19 PM
So it's only a couple days after the Novacoin launch and it has 2700BTC in buy orders?!?!?! What the heck? That's higher then the all-time high of LTC if I remember correctly! LTC only has 470BTC in buy orders, and at least people really do use it. Whats up? Is it like ultra-blowing up in the russian language forums or something?

EDIT: It would be interesting if the language subforums did have their own cryto coins, like national coins. What if every country started generating their own local national underground currencies?

Fake buy wall at .002 of ~2000btc when I seen it last yesterday and when the pump and dump was on last fall for ltc that drove the price to .008 it had ~4000btc fake buys sitting there.

30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC-E questionable practices on: February 13, 2013, 10:57:48 PM
This is a scam, and it just keeps getting worse.  BTC-E should be ashamed, and people should NOT trust them with ANY currency

Why would they be ashamed they built pump and dump exchange they are only doing what the system was designed for and has been used for with all the other coins on it. This whining would not be here if you people had had the chance to get in on the ground floor of the scam then this thing would be the best thing since sliced bread like all the other trash coins that have come and gone before it...
31  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The bASIC Refund Tracking Thread on: February 12, 2013, 11:54:35 PM
If hes not in on this, hes the most clueless(retarded) person on this board.

That is a pretty bold statement considering all the morons on here that have been and continue to be scammed, I would say he is closer to the back of the line in being clueless.

Idiot, Hes the only one who was in contact with Tom. His involvement should have given him more clues than anyone got on here.

Whos the moron now?

That would be you asshole he would only know what Tom told him if he hid the truth way from him like the rest of us then he would have been in the dark too. PLONK.

See no one has mentioned the questionable practice of the buying and selling to yourself that every exchange I have ever tested it on allows you to do. A nice bonus feature for the market manipulators on all the exchanges.
34  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What should be the overall speed(Mhash) for 2 radeon 7970? on: February 12, 2013, 12:35:56 AM
What should be the total rate for two Radeon 7970?
Use the Linux system
Program: cgminer 2.10.5
That he wrote to me:
(5s) 783M (avg) 626 Mh / s
GPU 0: 69C 5073RPM 322.6M/314Mh/s A: 192
GPU 1: 46C 1070RPM (Huh) 322.2M/313.5Mh/s A: 223

Until the hour i use it, statistics on the pool says 572 Mh / s
Tell that to the normal speed for 2 video cards or something I did wrong?
Why in the second rotational speed is so small and the temperature is lower?
I would be grateful for answers.

Outside card is always cooler as it gets better access to the air. And that is way too low for your hash rate on mine I used to use this in my .cgminer/cgminer.conf.

Code:

"intensity" : "8,8",
"gpu-engine" : "0-1100,0-1100",
"gpu-memclock" : "950,950",
"gpu-threads" : "2",
"auto-fan" : true,
"auto-gpu" : true,
"temp-target" : "75",
"gpu-fan" : "0-100",
"log" : "5",
"queue" : "1",
"retry-pause" : "5",
"scan-time" : "60",
"donation" : "0",
"shares" : "0",
"api-listen" : true,
"api-network" : true,
"api-port" : "4028",
"kernel-path" : "/usr/local/bin"

I have modified it for your use give these settings a try it should just about double your hash rate. You may even want to raise the "temp-target" : "75" to 80 depending on how hot you want the card to get or if it starts to throttle at that temperature.

36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Rescanning with Mac/Terminal on: February 08, 2013, 08:05:12 PM
Does anyone know the syntax for the command to rescan the block chain using OSX?  I know its something along the lines of:

open -a bitcoin-qt -rescan

but everytime I try to execute it like above I get this long menu of options.

I'm not a Mac user, but it appears you would, from the command window, go to the data directory:
 - http://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Data_directory#Mac

Code:
$ cd ~/Library/Application Support/Bitcoin/
$ ./bitcoin-qt -rescan

Everytime I enter it into terminal it gives me the "no such file directory" message :/

No wonder binaries are always in the application bundle not the support directory.

Code:
/Applications/Bitcoin-Qt.app/Contents/MacOS/Bitcoin-Qt

Give the above a try or put the ~ in front if you put the app in your home /Applications directory.

Edit: And now I look the

Code:
cd ~/Library/Application Support/Bitcoin/

will fail every time because you have not escaped the space like so

Code:
cd ~/Library/Application\ Support/Bitcoin/

that will change you to a directory with a space in it.

Edit2: Unless you enjoy wasting your Time Machine backup space open its preferences and exclude everything in the ~/Library/Application Support/Bitcoin/ except your wallet.dat from being backed up, this saves you gb's of unnecessary backups all the time.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Compiling litecoin in ubuntu 12.04? on: February 05, 2013, 08:29:05 PM
He there I am trying to compile litecoind in a 12.04 but i am getting the following error message:

make -f makefile.unix USE_UPNP=
g++ -c -pthread -Wextra -Wno-sign-compare -Wno-char-subscripts -Wno-invalid-offsetof -Wformat-security -g -DNOPCH -I/home/max/coblee-litecoin-9a77169/src -DUSE_SSL -fno-stack-protector -fstack-protector-all -Wstack-protector -Wl,-z,relro -Wl,-z,now -D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2 -O2 -MMD -o obj/checkpoints.o checkpoints.cpp
In file included from checkpoints.cpp:9:0:

compilation terminated.
make: *** [obj/checkpoints.o] Error 1

Thank you and best regards,
Max

If you end up with similar errors in the future when compiling install the apt-file program then  sudo apt-file update, you can then search as normal user to find the package(s) containing the missing file.

Code:

apt-file search db_cxx.h
db4.6-doc: /usr/share/doc/db4.6-doc/ref/upgrade.3.0/db_cxx.html
db4.7-doc: /usr/share/doc/db4.7-doc/ref/upgrade.3.0/db_cxx.html
db4.8-doc: /usr/share/doc/db4.8-doc/programmer_reference/upgrade_3_0_db_cxx.html
db5.1-doc: /usr/share/doc/db5.1-doc/upgrading/upgrade_3_0_db_cxx.html
libdb4.6++-dev: /usr/include/db_cxx.h
libdb4.7++-dev: /usr/include/db_cxx.h
libdb4.8++-dev: /usr/include/db_cxx.h
libdb5.1++-dev: /usr/include/db_cxx.h

Edit: Necro thread, well still applies regardless.
