22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 【ANN】 ✅ LETHEAN ✅ - Secure, Anon & Fast P2P-VPN-Network backed by the Blockchain on: October 08, 2020, 08:24:39 AM
Dear Lethean Followers!

As always, privileged to provide you the next update following our most recent team meeting including other developments:

* Lethean Telegram promotion — 300LTHN giveaway continues!!
Why not jump on the channel and ask our team for some free coin! We believe increased adoption starts with trust in a products capabilities and promises. That’s why we’re giving away free coin to test drive our service, our product will speak for itself. In turn we can make our product even better.

* Lethean community activity increased by over 15% in the last couple of weeks.

* Growing team contributors. A very warm welcome to our new team members!

* Chromebook / ChromeOS compatibility testing with the new Lethean Exiplorer mobile app. All confirmed OK and ready for use!

* We will be issuing a short community survey very soon to gauge what our users see as important in a VPN/proxy solution and how Lethean stacks up. With believe with data such as this, we can accurately target the key areas that are seen as gaps to bring community relevance to the project.

* Cryptonight v8 alogrithm change discussions have occurred to target the ever present shift in mining activity. We believe this is important to manage risk, including involvement from the greater community of miners.

* Thanks to community feedback we’re sprucing up our exit-node build guides. We’re working on this and please do reach out if having any troubles attempting to build today.

* Excitement is also brewing over the review of cloud hosted exit-node options for the community. The idea is, if we can make it simple enough to create a node, you’d likely want to stand one up! We want a near zero-touch deployment of the Lethean exit-node and we’re excited to share that we are looking at this option and believe it will greatly grow our node adoption and usage rate.

* To make some of the above and other project goals possible in the short-term, we’re presently looking at funding options to accelerate our vision for the Lethean project. You’ll want to be part of the action when it all starts cracking on at full pace!

There are some items I’ve left out on purpose here, specifically how Lethean plans to expand it’s impact. You’ll just have to wait for the next update. Smiley

Unlock the Internet.
Free the world from censorship.

The Lethean Movement.

This plan did not change much for the last.. 2 years. So only plans and nothing done. Hopefully this "new team" brings something real. Last time I tried to run an exit node, there was neither proper documentation, neither much support or Windows option for node.
23  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Quantum resistance on: October 03, 2020, 07:13:05 AM
Qubits are using superposition meaning that 1 qubit is equal to 0 and 1 at the same time, much like Shrödinger's cat, qubits are technically two bits.
Having a superposition of 0 and 1 does not make is equal to 2 bits. When the qubit is measured, it must be either 0 or 1, which is the same as the bit. If anything, n qubits can be thought of as the same as 2n bits. If you have n bits, then you can represent any one of n2 possible combinations. If I have n qubits, I can represent all n2 combinations simultaneously.

Why would it be equal to 1 bit and be faster than the modern computers?
The speed increase is not because 1 qubit can store more data than simply 0 and 1. The speed increase is because it can simultaneously store both 0 and 1. As I said above, this allows a 16 qubit computer (for example) to simultaneously store 65,536 possible states.

Can we then say that Quantum computing can reach 65,536 times faster speed than a regular one?
24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Quantum resistance on: October 01, 2020, 08:14:41 AM
The company Dwave is now shipping $15M quantum computers with 5000Qbits of processing power. For comparison, the rest of the vendors are at ~50qbits. I know that $15M is quite a lot of money, but in 2 year that figure will be half. As you probably know, quantum calculations can be multiple times faster than any computer we have today. What are the plans for Bitcoin to continue to exist?

mining cryptos that have some values on exchanges is not possible now a days. MASS is a good option to mine cryptos on ordinary devices and has good value on exchanges. I am sure it will go up in days to come.

Yep, if you call ordinary device something with fast, unlimited internet and 5-10TB of storage Cheesy

A core member has left XDNA... that can't be a good sign.
Hopefully, the rest of the team members will handle it and keep pushing the project forward.

Bulu- bulu, zuza kalabanda Be-be-be-be-be! Yeah Im here, just signed in to tell u that everything u do is futile. Whatever u want or attempt to achieve with this coin is likely not worth pursuing. Best days of crypto are gone. What comes next is drab boring future, the next cairn on the never-ending road of stupidity and idiocy. How to overcome this is not certain.

Bitcoin rises in price, ETH jumps $35 a day, countries plan adopting digital currencies, UPX is creating it's own dVPN and at the same time expanding the project by adding staking. Yep, boredom... Cheesy
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best CPU Mineable Coins in 2019 and CPU Mining Guides [UPDATED!] on: July 21, 2020, 12:11:41 PM
Some people say that Ryzen processor is good for CPU mining, is anyone here is using this AMD processor now? Is it profitable? how about the hash power produced by this procie is it okay? If anyone here already using it kindly share your experience with this processor. Thanks

Ryzen CPUs have several advantages over Intel for CPU mining, most notably price per core and cache per core.
It's disadvantages, poor AVX2 and no AVX512, aren't typically needed for "CPU" coins. Coins that benefit from
AVX* can usually be mined more efficienty with a GPU.

In short Ryzen CPUs are better for the kind of computing that GPUs can't do well, while Intel CPUs are good at computing
that GPUs can do better.

Thanks for the info JayDDee, that answered a lot of questions I was asking myself too Smiley
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Storj - Decentralized Storage on: July 20, 2020, 07:50:22 PM
What's the difference between storj and many others, including filecoin, arweave, sia, and so on?

It is a bit more serious than the rest, but still too many bugs, issues. Too complex and fragile to manage..
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cpuminer-opt v3.14.3, open source optimized multi-algo CPU miner on: July 09, 2020, 09:25:56 AM
I don't know if it is the Algo or the miner, but with Yescryptr32 AMD Ryzen CPUs can barely produce anything.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What are options to mine a profitable crypto on my computer. on: July 09, 2020, 09:24:04 AM
Recently I started mining DMS coin due to it's real world use case, which is not only planned
Like most of th coins out there, but actually working. It can be mined with almost any CPU.

It is designed to timestamp and mark documents of any sort as original, eliminating fraud.

Here is another CPU coin I found: DMS coin
It has real world use case, which is already implemented.
With it you can store any file hash in a blockchain, thus proving it's authenticity and timestamp.

33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best CPU Mineable Coins in 2019 and CPU Mining Guides [UPDATED!] on: July 03, 2020, 08:45:51 PM
Lately there are not many new CPU coins, so I found an older one.
It even has a real world use case, which is currently in use.
It is called DMS coin and is used to store document hashes and proof of authenticity.

34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Main] Bitcore- BTX - New coreupdate - Odarhom! on: May 27, 2020, 02:33:11 PM
I have a address with 1.5 BTX in it. I know it is ridiculous amount, but still, I want to be able to own what is mine.

However, all the block explorers I tested are not even recognizing my BTX address.
But when i start the wallet, the coins are there.

The coins are from 2018.
Has blockchain technology changed fundamentally since then?

You have the latest wallet, synced properly and the coins are there?
There was indeed a change with addresses some time ago (years) but there was a way to automatically map old addresses to new if I remember correctly

Maybe create a new address and move the coins there since the wallet sees them?

Can you please share more info on this address conversion thing?

Nice to see some coin which is interested in specific use case and doesn't just speak great words for itself.

How is it different than other coins?
How can it bring something they cannot offer anyway?

Does Keva have a real-world use case?
How it is better from other crypto currencies?
Why should people prefer it?
