I have a rig I'm looking to mine some new altcoins with, ideally i'm looking for some altcoins that are still really early and have low mining difficulty still. Any recommendations ?

Is there a major difference in mining efficiency between pools ? I have been mining on pcg.minerpool.net  on a video card that gets a steady 29 Mh/s on average and for 24 hours of mining I get about 30 Pegascoin. Is that a normal rate now ?

I have been mining a ETH based altcoin for a couple weeks now and have been getting 29.1 - 29.4 Mh/s pretty much stead for these couple weeks on a certain RX 570 of mine, but a couple days ago it went down to a steady 28.3 - 28.7  and has been staying there but absolutely nothing has changed that would lead me to a reason why. Is it possible a pool can change something about it that would get lower hashrate all the sudden ? 

What are the pros and cons of doing a "solo mining pool" like this ?

all the sudden i cant mine anymore getting an error.

When I start up the miner it says requesting mining parameters

then it will say "couldn't get block template: Unknown HTTP status code is given: unexpected symbol "

what does that mean and why is that happening to me all the sudden ?

I have been mining for a little while now, in my account it says I have 0 AVE but in the top right corner it says "Avesta Balance          0/411.109"

So is that the pending balance that just needs more time to be fully added ? I read in earlier posts that it can take like a week or something for the balance to be fully added. I just wanted to ask to check that everything is ok.

yea i have tried everything but i get way below average hashrates on cryptonote for my RX 570. This is especially odd considering I get top of the line hashrates on all the other algorithms for a RX 570. So yeah not sure what to do about it, especially if I can't even use old claymores cuz of the algo changes.

my cpu has 8mb of L3 cache so would it be ideal to use 4 threads ?

do we change the "threads" number in the bat file to how many cores our CPU we are using has ?
